my name is Charalambos and I'm from Greece. i believe this site is best in the world and has the best developers for windows mobile . i have read many special themes here and i find all your answers very very good.
I've a pna gps with windows ce 5.0 and i've problem with windows ce, i can't to save or create folders and files in the windows system folder.
after of restart the machine, folders and files have delete, why?
how can i unlock the windows ce?
or how can i save anything in the system folder?

One of the most frequently request i think is this: "Is there any way to convert cab or exe files into .xap ones?"
I haven't found anything about. Can you help me understanding if there is a possibility for this problem? I have an important app in .exe format i would install on my Samsung Omnia 7. Can you help me?

Apps for wm <= 6.5 cannot be launched in wp7
but there has to be a way to translate .cab files , this OS is based partially at least on CE , and .cab files are in CE
I think the main problem is not the underlying OS, but the GUI is completely different. To put it simply, 6.5 and under had a different way of handling how apps looked and reacted on screen.

i made an application for windows mobile that use SQL CE 3.5. On emulator everything work perfectly, but when i copy bin/Debug folder from my project to phone HTC HD2(i dont know if it is good way of deployment) and try to open name.exe file i got message that there is no dll : sqlceme35.dll.
Anybody knows solution for this? Mby coping this dll to device will help?

Does someone know how to extract a Windows Mobile 6.5 Certificate out of the device. I know, that it is installed somewhere in the mobile registry. I found a lot of docu how to install a certificate on the moble. But I have to export it before I can install it on a different divice....
Any ideas or a docu availible?

hi ,i want to develop apps for car dvd (windows ce 6.0 system),i could not get any program to create wince apps,Platform Builder and Embedded Visual C++ cant be intalled on my pc,can anybody tell me how to get started developing apps for Wince,i can use python,vb6,C#,
i tried using mortscript but i have program in this code " XCopy( "\Storage Card\f\*.*", "\Storage Card\系统信息",1 ) "
when i copy files to folder with Chinese language it creates new folder with another name,i hope i get help on this code.
