I was wondering whether i can flash a Windows Mobile ROM on a Palm Treo 680. Although it has a Palm Garnet OS 5.4.9, is it possible to completely wipe out the internal memory which contains the Palm OS and freshly install/flash a Palm Treo 750 WM ROM?

I don't think so because it would use different drivers for the phone. It would have to modified in some way first.
I wouldn't try it because you could brick your phone.
No you can't flash a WM ROM on that phone.

There is way to install ATOM ROM on JAM ?! Same hardware ?!
For a start, the hardware is NOT exactl;y the same, so no, it is unliely that you would be able to put the atom rom onto the Jam.
It has been asked many a time for WM5 for the Magician, and it is not coming, simple as.
I just love my JAM even more then my KJAM and more then my JASJAR :\

I've tried.Decode the Rom file and update with no_Id.flashing is smooth.but after hard-reset,stopped on bl stage.
so,give it up and back to 03se.

hi all, i had a one problem and one cuestion:
a) i have a treo 750 with wm 6.0, when i tried to upgrade to wm 6.1 display me the code error 0006802 and later the screen is in stand by in boot mode, i tried with the spl by olipro, direct via microsd with CHEEIMG, and not working, what is rthe real procedure for upgrade?
b)The wm 6.0 is most stable and complet that the wm.6.1?

I have a big problem and I need urgent help please. I have ATT 750 unlocked and I'm outside the States now. My Treo was 6.0 then I upgrade it to 6.1 so far so good.
Then I saw a custom rom that I thought it was interesting. the custom rom was for HTC Dimond I think. without paying too much attention. I started the upgrade. It went 70% before the upgrade crashed.
Now my Treo is not responding to anything. I have the original ATT 6.0 SD upgrade and I have the 6.1 lite upgrade. I'm using CheetahUnlocker to flash the SPL (that is working) but when I try to install the 6.0 or 6.1 using Kaiser Custom RUU v1 it crash.
I saw the post above that suggest to place the original 6.0 on a freshly formated SD and install from there. that is not working either. when I try to install the software it goes into these steps before it crashes: btw, I have the tri-color bar and it has the following info:
CHEE100
IPL-0.20
SPL-1.40.01iNex
while update in progress i see the following:
CHEEIMG.nbh
SPLASH1 - OK
BOOTLOADER - OK
GSM - OK
MicroP - OK
EXTROM - Fail
OS -
After the crash I get this msg: "Update Terminate Update Failed"
Any suggestion please? need more info? then let me know
You may have corrupted your DOC, you may need to use mtty to reformat it. Do some searching on how to do it.
Or try to use T750URT.exe to restore it, it comes with the Treo desktop updater.

After I flashed a WM6.5 costum ROM in my treo750 it works fine...until 4 hour after...the display just stay black. It´s on, but black!!
I´ve tryed reset, hard reset and force to reflashed to an original WM5.0 without success.
Does anyone know what is happening with my phone??

Hi all,recently brought 2nd hand O2 exec windows 6.1 installed.
opening screen has these numbers

unit works ok but the phone won't connect at all 2g or 3g sim card
after doing lots of reading i gather the radio rom needs upgrading or do i upgrade the whole software.
I downloaded JASJAR_ME_13082_171_10900_wwe_ship but haven't run the upgrade as i don't want to kill the unit without finding out if it is safe to run or is it the latest update tool.
Also if i do the upgrade do i lose windows 6.1 installed.
Appreciate some help here.
p.s I'm running vista on pc

I decided to attempt a dual OS (WM7 and Icecreamsandwich) upload to my HTC hd2 and downloaded everything I thought I needed. However I read everything I could find and it appears I can't install HSPL to WM v3.14 so I need to downgrade and was looking for WM v.1.66 with no avail.
I was wondering if I was correct that I can't install HSPL to v3.14 (or if I could, it won't run WM7 or Android anyway) and if anyone has a download link for a previous ROM that I could flash with so as I can attempt the dual OS?
