Can not see SD card *SOLVED* - General Topics

Hello i Have a (HTC clone NT901??). I had to do a Hard reset, and after that i can't access the storage card. I have included some pictures.
As you can see SKtools detect the card, but not Windows 6.1.
I have tried other Sd cards with no results.
Note that i did not have any SD-card in my phone when the picture with expansion slot "Not in use" was taken.
Maybe someone has a bright idea what the problem might be.
Forgive my english, i'm Swedish.
I'm sorry if this is not the right forum for this ,but i don't know where else i would put it.
regards/MickeF
Edit: I have included my registryfile if someone could look through it.
*SOLVED* Bad soldering in SD-SLOT. Now the card work like a charm.

Check if the pins in the card reader are making contact with the SD card. I had the exact same problem with an iPAQ 210. I couldn't find any way to fix it, not hard resets or anything. Eventually the problem went away on its own(after a month or so). Hope yours eventually starts to work, sorry I couldn't be more help.

DisMountSdcard.exe???
I have looked in the windows directory an found a file called DisMountSdcard.exe
What is that? I have googled it but it did not find any answers. Someone?
I have looked in the registry to find if the exe loads but it don't.
It can't be deleted and says it is writeprotected.

Does the card work in another mobile or PC?
Might there be a problem with the partition or filesystem?
In windows desktop version hard drives are sometimes visible by programs but not windows. That suggest that the filesystem is currupt. Not shure how this works with flashcards and winmo.

Yes it works flawless in another original HTC phone and desktop computer.

Can somebody explain too me how it's possible for SKTools to see the card (only in SD information though), but not by WM 6.1.
I think it's the drivers ieg sdbus.dll or sdhc.dll, sdmemory.dll but i have tried to exchange them to others without results.

No one who can help me???

check the SD is well in other Mobile Phones,if well, just use some tool to format it?Really OK?I don`t have any idea, just try

New pictures
I have now tested my card in my son's Touch Viva (yes it works there) and i have attached the picture in SKtools. You can compare and maybe advice me what to do.
The first picture is with card in Viva, and second from card in my phone.

Dead forum??
Seems that no one is interested in this.

I just ran out of ideas.
If the card works in other computers or phones the card is ok.
If your phone can´t read ANY cards then the problem is your phone.
The next step is to find out if its a hardware or software problem.
It would be good to back up your phone and do a reinstall with a known good ROM. If that fails, then there is something wrong with your hardware. Have you tried cleaning the card slot?

I have cleaned the slot. One thing i don't understand is that SKtools detects the card in SD information as you can see here. If it was a hardware fault it wouldn't be detected att all.
[SD information]
Bus driver version 5.2
Slot 0
Host index 0,slot index 0
Inserted card Memory Card
Card type SD Memory
Interface mode 4 bit(s),Clock rate 25000000

have attached photo on the bad soldering at the sd-slot.

So are you 100% sure that´s the issue (ie. the soldering). If so, great news.

Well after i resolded the microsmall contacts it's working perfectly again. No problems att all with my 4gb SD-card.
Annoying though, but if you buy a chinese mobile maybe you can expect this.
Otherwise i love the phone. It has all the features i want and more, and is nice looking. Internal GPS,WIFI,3,2MP Camera etc.

SD Card Wiped!

Hey All-
I thought the issue with SD card would have been fixed with the T-mobile WM2003 ROM update (4.01.16). Although I am not sure if that is what did it. I did not have the problem until I updated ActiveSync (v3.7.1 - Build 4034) when it came out about a week ago. I have an ActiveSync backup file (backup.stg) from BEFORE I upgraded all of this (a different partnership as well). Is there a way to extract the data from that file to restore my SD card?
Many Thanks
Out of curiosity, what brand of SD card are you using? I'm using a Kingston 512 mB but have read on a few forums problems with the Kingston loosing content in the XDA II. I have not experienced the problem.
Ed
No this problem still persists, I've used a PNY,Sandisk & Panasonic SD card in my XDA I running WM2003 4.01.16 and it blows them all away. I've tried everything and all the ROM from's YORCH'S Kitchen. They obviously only tested the XDA ROM'[email protected] T-Mobile without any SD memory attached at all, and couldn't have cared for customer feedback. However, saying that it's suprising the amount of PDA users I know, whom don't have additional memory attached. I hope there's a resolution soon, in which ever form, upgrade, reg-keys anything to stop this annoyance.
Cheers.
I am using a San Disk 128Mb card. Any info on how to get into that Backup.stg file? Thanks
Yes, I do believe it is a bug that most bug testers missed to point out with the WM2003 4.01.16. I've encountered the same problem and lost all the files saved on my SD card (San Disk SD Card). The sad part about this bug is that your lost files are unrecoverable!

Hey scottychef, for that just go do the following on your PC:
First you need to go to "My Computer" in flile explorer then you select Tools menu and then "Fonder Options" and under the "View" tab check "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and then find the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\"YourUserName"\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\"YourOldProfile"
And copy the .bak file into your current profile directory.

Some people came to the conclusion that the sd card erasure was something to do with the Today configuration and that when they chose the default screen etc the problem went away.
After going around the bend with my SD Card being erased/corrupted on nearly daily basis, and being fortunate enough to have friends with both XDA I’s & II’s running both PPC 2002 & 2003 I thought I’d set out and scour the registry to see if anything was missing that could be causing the problem, and I instantly noticed a one thing. On my version of 2003 (4.01.16 T-mobile) there is no key referring to FAT file system for the SD Card, which both the XDA I (PPC 2002-O2) & XDA II (PPC 2003-O2) have.
Also the FATFS.DLL which exists under the \Windows folder (Hidden of course) on both PPC2002(O2) & PPC2003(O2) is not present on the T-Mobile (4.01.16) ROM, However there is a FATFSD.DLL referenced in \HKLM\System\StorageManager\FATFS but not linked to the Storage Card
So I've simply made substitute keys from the ones missing.
Since I’ve entered the following Keys, I’ve nearly gone a week without a single hiccup. Now it may be too early to tell, but if a few of you guys with this problem should try it and it works for you, then problem solved.
Here’s what to do.
Install the PMH Registry Editor (freeware) to your XDA then navigate to
\\HKLM\Drivers\PCMCIA\SDCard
Add the following REG_SZ key:
Value name: FSD
Value data: FATFSD.DLL
Also, I’m not quite sure if the next key adds any performance/stability but was present on the XDA II and not the XDA I, but I added it anyway
Add the following REG_DWORD key:
Value name: BlockTransferSize
Value data: 64
Could be a combination of either key or one or the other, or neither, but I haven’t the time to try each permutation. Or maybe I've just been lucky this week and It'll get wiped over the weekend, I'll keep you posted.
Now reset the device and good luck, plus please post your findings as I could be barking completely up the wrong tree!!
It happened to me also!! I've bought a new MMC card, 256 MB,, and 3 days ago, I woke up & found my card wiped out!
I've used a software called Easy Recovery Pro, and I've recovered all my lost file on the card
I used a digital camera to create a new drive ( I: ) for the card, so that I can recover the files!! Is there any other mean to map the MMC or SD card to a drive??
anyway, I just read some notes on this forum, and I've found that its a bug in windows 2003, but to solve the problem, always format your card using FAT32, and before formating it, just switch the today screen to DEFAULT, then format, and after the format completes just put your favourite theme :? (you could say its crap, but beleive me, it worked, am using my card now without any problems no more)
Micro$oft is weird
I'm bumping this. Is it still working, spadb? Did anyone else try this procedure?

Well maybe, but i don't think so, becuase when my MMC was wiped, I noticed that Windows has changed the file system to FAT32, although it was FAT16 before!!
So all what I think is that Windows needs the storage card to be formatted as FAT32 and not anything else!
I did formatted my MMC using FAT32, and now its working so fine, no wippings no data loss, it works like a charm
Am still using my MMC card without fear of getting wipped!
spadb thats a interesting fix, you might also wants to label your card (
as in reformat and then give it a name, that solved it for me and its been
months since my last erase).
HTH
Got the same problem
I tried most of the T mobile Roms they have the same bug which is painfull to restore data to the Storage :S and relocate the shortcuts..anyway if u just wanna try how this could be deleted try to pull off the sd out then put it in do it several times it will be wiped I tried that on purpose with the newest Tmobile rom and today wiped again by itself with an old Tmobile Rom 4.01.00 and the SD is on the FAT32. I just can't tell what should we do in this case nor the Tmobile wm2003 are good neither the ATT with the sound clipping, If there's some1 could get us the best Rom ever tested or a way to fix all this bug we'd appreciate the help.. P.S my SD is 256M.B
GOD DAMN IT!!!!!!! My 256 MMC card got wipped again!!!!!
I hate this!!!!! I hate it I hate it I hate it
I wanna know if the SD card registry solution posted by "spadb" works with MMC cards as well!
I will recover my files & format the card again..
I hope this time it won't be wipped again!
by the way, is there any software which can map the SD / MMC card to a logical drive under windows, while the device is on the cradle (without using card readers)?
I'm getting this problem too. I've had my XDA II for less than a week and its wiped my SD card twice. Looking around other pocketpc forums on the web it appears that other people are experiencing this too. I wonder if this is a bug in the latest Windows Mobile 2003 update?
I've tried using the repair option in an evaluation copy of storage tools and it appears to be able to restore the data. It's almost as if the FAT is getting corrupted including the backup FAT.
I'm using FAT32 for the filesystem. I know my SD card is ok because it has worked 100% on my Orange SPV phone previously.
Going to phone O2 tomorrow because this is getting beyond a joke.
Cheers,
Richard.
name ur SD card storage or somthing and make it fat 32 ive never had a sd erase yet (touch wood) that was using a sandisk 256mb card, soon to get a simpletech 256mb (speedy )
What tool can I use to label the SD card? Storage tools doesn't appear to have that option.

Richard.

For all of you guys who lost their data from their SD cards, you can ALWAYS get your data back using any SD Card Reader or Digital Camera.
Just put your SD card in the card reader or the cam & run any file recovery software on the removable disk which appears whenever you connect the card reader / cam to your PC, and you will restore all of your files.
I've restored all of my files using this simple way of recovery. 8)

weird situation with my SD-card and file-encryption

Hi,
I seem to have some weird things going on with my SD-card.
First everything worked fine, but then suddenly all my files seemed to have disappeared.
When I took a look in my "memory" (start, settings, system, memory) there was no change
in memory-usage (still there was 1360 Mb in use and 566 Mb of free memory.)
In "File Explorer" no files were to be seen at all...
When I took out my SD-card an put it into a USB-card reader, my pc showed only a file called EncFiltLog.menc
So I can't copy the files to my pc as well...
I'm using this card for over 8 months now without any problems untill this...
My encryption function in my Jasjar is turned off, I've never had it turned on actually...
The first weird thing I noticed was the question whether I'd like my jasjar to search the card for music files, while I always had this card in my PDA. I never had this question before. The EncFiltLog. menc is created just before I discovered my files disappeared.
(We were just trying to play some music, but the storage card was nowhere to be seen in my media player, so I took the SD card out and put it back in)
The reason why I didn't pay attention to that question and answered "no" was that my old Qtek S100 also does it all the time without giving me any problems at all and this Jasjar already had the files on my card in his library...
After that my files seem to have gone...
Does anyone has a solution for this?
For me, there are some really valuable items on the card which I rather not loose.
(I know I should make back-ups, but these files were too recent to make one...)
Thanks in advance,
JT
Same problem
As of yesterday, I have the EXACT same problem as described above. I could use some of the famous XDA wisdom...please.
What Roms are you two using? And SD Storage settings?
Same problem
Samsung SCH-I760
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
CE OS 5.2.19202 (Build 19202.1.0.0)
ARM920T S3C2442 Processor
SanDisk 2GB Micro SD
File Encryption is turned off (unchecked)
The SD card has functioned perfectly for almost a year. Yesterday I noticed that about half of the folders stored on the card had disappeared. Of course, I have tried reinserting the card, soft resetting the device, restoring the device to an earier date, etc...no luck.
The card shows 1.8 GB of memory "in use." However, only about 500 MB of that information is accessible or even visible. When I insert the card into my desktop computer, the mysterious "EncFiltLog.menc" appears.
Also note that flashed the 6.1 ROM upgrade to my device a few weeks ago. Since that time, I have installed/uninstalled several programs and reset the device numerous times. All data on the card was accessible until this week.
The menc file is dated 08/03/2008. The only software change that I recall performing around this date was enabling the "Scheduled Backup" feature on Spb Backup.
Your help is appreciated.

same problem here. it appears out of nowhere and after googling, i found out that it's because of windows 6.1 encryption thing. problem is, i dont have the box ticked at all. and whenever a menc file gets created, my phone will ask me if i want to format the card to make it readable and cant scanned the card. after deleting the EncFiltLog only the SDMMC will appear again
any solution with this problem?
For as far as I know: nope
nothing....
I have discovered the same problem with my Samsung Omnia i900. Any soultions yet to the EncFiltLog.menc problem?

There appears to be two scenario's here, and none of them you are going to like.
If some of your files appear with .menc extension (and all your files are there), this means they have been encrypted by WM6. The only way to recover them is with the original device that wrote them.
Please note the following:
if you hard-reset or flash your device you will lose your original code, and all files will become unreadable.
there is no way (as of yet) to find out the encryption code, or back it up
If you only have EncFiltLog.menc file on your SD card, and all your other files are missing, it is extremely likely that you have had file corruption on your SD card and your files have been erased.
Please note the following:
EncFiltLog.menc is a red-herring, it usually exists on all SD cards (a system file, even if you're not using encryption)
You may find a good program to recover your lost files. Do this soon, and don't use the SD card before doing this.
I wouldn't rely on this SD card in the future for anything important.
I hope this helps. NB, I have found some good recovery programs for jpeg files if you're interested. Sorry to be bearer of bad news.
*** Always back up your files to your PC using ActiveSync... frequently ***
(if you have encoded your files, then you MUST use ActiveSync)
Thanks for the update.
This problem mostly happens if you flash your device with sd card inserted.
Try to go back to the prevous rom and I think the content of your sd card will be available again.
Actually, its a new card and all I did was insert it into the phone, then into my computer. I didn't flash anything.
lost a important video of my dead child (menc encoded)
My 8 years girl is dead 6 months ago from leucemia after a 6 years battle. We found our brother in law as now a menc video on is phone. It is one of very few video we have from her where we could ear her talk, so this is important for my wife se could recover it to be able to help her pass with the death.
Since this brother in law did not know how to see the file before talking to us he tried to reset the phone. The file is on his sd card and today we went to telus to transfer the menc files on my pc but the young technician to the sales departement did not know how to read the file. He tried with the vlc but the menc files cannot be read with vlc. And the phone cannot read the file any more. I have a copy of the file. Do you know how to debug this kind of file

How can i get this jpg pictures back ? i have some in the cache, but in the pcm (what the hell is that!!!!!??) file.
Its possible to transform a pcm to a JPEG ?
need help thanks for answer
may be unknown virus
I am sure there is a virus in your system. i had also same problem but there was a 'new folder'(created every time i formatted my memory card) with the same named file.Tried antivirus but could not clean system.i used another computer and problem solved.
Everything deleted except the EncFiltLog.menc file
k, today I also got me. The complete SD-Card was erased, only the fuggin EncFiltLog.menc remained, giggling at its devious work.
I'm using a Loox N560 with newplowe's WM 6.1 20755 ver.063.07 ROM, encryption unchecked form the beginning.
The SD-Card was working fine all the time, until I put into the cardreader of my laptop (I've done that a millions times before with that SD-Card and that ROM). Unfortunately I couldn't recover any files form the SD-Card. Music, navigation software can be restored, but my older backups as well as my *.cab collection is gone.

I know this is a little old thread but I am new here
I just got my 1st windows mobile phone ever the Touch Pro 2. I have had an 8 gig card in my old phone working for a year no problems. I had pictures and video and a bunch of music. I stuck the card in my new phone and didn't think it recognized the card at all. Me being new to all this windows mobile didn't know to go to file explorer and arrow down to memory card so I took the card out out everything on my work computer and was going to try to format the card in the phone. Somehow I put everything back on my card came home and went to put everything on my desktop and I was going to format the card from my pc and that is when I noticed everything was gone on my card also. I had the one file and nothing else.
I didn't have much important stuff on mine but a couple pictures and a video which I can reget but it still upsets me I lost a whole folder of pictures that I don't know if I have on my pc or not. So I formatted the card in my PC and started over. I now have some music a picture and one video as a test. I notice that file is still there is it suppose to be there? The menc or whatever it is. I hope i don't lose my stuff again but I guess I'll back it up this time. The music is always on my pc so I don't care about that but the pics and video mattered.

Can Vista x64 recognize Micro SD with multiple Partitions

I would appreciate help with creating multiple partitions on my micro sd card. over the past few days I sat for hours reading all about it but still have some trouble. OK, so I know that windows won't allow you to create multiple partitions on removable media. Therefore I created 2 fat32 partitions using Gparted. So far all was well, and my phone recognized it as 2 storage cards. The problem is Windows Vista (or XP and 7) still won't recognize more than 1 partition.
Now if you search around on the internet you will find people referring to the Hitachi MicroDrive Driver which can be hacked to make an SD card (or USB flash drive) appear to windows as a local disc, making it possible to create multiple partitions on your card. That's when Vista x64 gets in the way since the driver isn't x64 compatible. So far I still have not found a solution, and would appreciate it if anyone knows how to do this on a x64 system (including assigning drive letters to each partition). Just to make it clear, using WM5 Storage and USB to PC didn't help either.
Thanks
BIG problem.
i know this is an old post, but did you ever find a solution for it? im having the same problem. my scenario...
using an HTC HD2, i've installed wp7 to the phones memory. wp7 by default re-formats any micro sd card so that it can only be used fully by wp7. there was a work around here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945565&highlight=micro
and i was able to dual boot wp7 and then an android build from the micro sd card. here's the BIG PROBLEM... both wp7 AND my sd android build WILL NOT see anything else on the micro sd storage card.
furthermore, any attempt to format that card in windows is met with the message of windows will only recognize one partition on a removable data (something like that).
now here's the real kicker... in linux, all partitions are recognized. i have do have 3 partitions on my micro sd card now, 1 for wp7, 1 for my sd android, and 1 that im hoping to find a way for at least one of these builds to read. the idea is to have that final open partition for storage of music, pictures, and video files to share between the 2 systems. i'll be happy if just one of these systems can read it though
im not sure where to post, or really what to do. however, i saw your post and it was the closest thing i've found to anyone else having a similar problem. if anyone can point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.
best program is EASEUS Partition Master 6.5.2 Home Edition.

[Q] Problem with my Micro SD card

I just recently bought a Sandisk 32Gb class 10 microSD card. I got everything set up and I've been using it for a couple of days now.
Last night I just was using msn app on the phone then it just kinda kicked me off and I couldn't use the phone properly and it rebooted and said that the disk was either blank or it has files with different file allocation. ie fat 32 ntfs all that jazz.
I can not mount the card and i cannot format it again.
So scrounging around I found a SD card adapter for the computer and wacked that in the old port. It shows that it's there but it can not be opened.
I also can not view it's properties it just acts as if it's reading for ages.
Then it crashes explorer.
i tried opening it from command
it can't be opened but after opening the path for c becomes
c:\yujuju as if someone had typed it in.
i'm almost suspicious that it was a virus sent over the network through a program on my phone.
are there known viruses capable of making your micro sd cards unreadable?
if it's not a virus and it's just some kind of error on the micro sd card...
are there anyoptions for it? (has anyone made any recovery programs for SD cards you can download using forced mount methods or anything like that?)
I know i can send it back to the place of purchase but it means i have to pay for it to be sent to another state before they'll even look at it and if they don't think it's a manufacturer fault they'll charge me for it and the time spent trouble shooting. I'm a student and I can't really afford to do that
Just a quick note. I'm using cynogen 7.0.3 Desire
it is a HTC bravo. HBoot 6.93.1002
not sure if you'd need anymore detail than that..
please help :3
update// I just was looking around and I read about a website called recovery-filedotnet
and i downloaded the tool. When i try and scan the SD card the program crashes.
I used the demo version... I don't think this is going to end well. sigh.
Anyone with any knowledge that may help with out having to send it back to the company?
Hi,
Sorry, can't help you with recovering contents of your micro SD card. If you don't want to recover the SD card contents, have you tried formatting it on the PC (sorry, I couldn't tell from your posts whether you've tried that)?
There are also known to be many counterfeit micro SD cards out there. Basically, the counterfeit cards don't have the reported storage size, for example they may have 4GB instead of 32GB, so trying to write more than 4GB will result in data being overwritten (and probably trashing of file allocation tables).
I'm not saying yours is a counterfeit, but just something to be aware of.
You could check out h2testw which tests read/write performance, but also checks whether the SD card is the reported size (I think you'll need to format the SD card first, though).
Here's a link to a post I made using h2testsw on a micro SD card:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013030
Have you attempted to delete the partitions in disk management?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
You cannot open the card on a computer. If you try and open the drive explorer actually crashes and you have to open explorer again using run
If you try and open the drive using command prompt. The drive refuses to open.
You can't access properties of the device either.
I bought it from scorptec. An australian computer company.

I opened the Microsoft Management Console and opened storage and when the card is connected to the PC it goes in an endles loop of searching for drives.
This is all very strange if you ask me.
To make it perfectly clear. I can not mount or format from the device, from clockwork mod using ROM manager. I can not mount or format from a PC using the GUI or the command prompt. Using Microsoft Management Console fails.
The other weird thing is my computer was stuffed this morning. I couldn't view the details of my computers properties. The wireless keyboard couldn't be used.
The CPU and stuff was listed as unkown.
I did a system restore to an earlier date logged in to safe mode
Even though it's restored successfully it doesn't recognise that my anti virus is running. I had to enable things in msconfig and my remote access was ENABLED!
I don't know if this was related.
But I'm feeling rather depressed after all this.
I've run spyware and anti virus and nothings picked up. So EH today sucks.
But lets just focus on the SD card for now hey? ^-^
Just to be absolutely certain it's the card, go get ubuntu live cd or gparted live cd, boot from it and try and see if the card works there. Imo it's fubar but last post questions it slightly. If you cannot get any life out of it in gparted send it back.

take russ18uk's advice, if that doesn't work, you'll just have to giveup and reformat it.

are they linux operating systems? Are you asking me to try and access the
device using a different? OS?
If so I'll wait till I'm in my programming class tomorrow and just boot the linux OS and see if it works.
Maybe ask my I.T teachers for assistance. But I think I knew I wasn't going to find a solution for this. I just can't afford to pay for postage costs at the moment. I've requested a returned warranty and I'll see what they ahve to say.
Sigh what a god awful day. @shakes tiny little micro SD card and yells [email protected]
(ironically I bought a Sandisk one beause they write the standards for MicroSD cards I believe haha, shot my self in the foot I wish I bought a kingston one now.)
@side note.. is this a picture of things to come? people come to me with computer problems and as a tech when i can't work things out i'll say ever cuss word under the sun in anger? lol i hope there's no customers around when i'm working XD maybe i should go get some anger management classes
Thanks to all who posted replies. Looks like I'll be sending the card back to the company I bought it from. poop!

Help reading miniSD card formatted with MotoQ9m

Desperate/long shot here. I have a miniSD card that was used in my MotoQ9m years ago. This card may have some photos of our daughter (now deceased) and I want to know if any devs know of a program that will open this card in Win 7.
Thanks in advance, Keith

You don't need any program, if it's a mini SD card as long as you have the slot to plug it into your computer Win 7 will be able to read it like a USB.

Normally you don't need any special program, only a usb card reader (if you don't have a card reader already in your computer).
If your reader is for normal SD only, you can buy an adapter for it. It's cheap.
If you already tried this without luck, it means your card is probably corrupted.
There are specialized companies for that, where they can get data form the card even when the hardware itself is bad. That's a most expensive solution though... I just mention it first, because other methods can make the situation worst, removing even this possibility...
In the 90% of the cases you have data corruption, but otherwise the card is fine. Then you can try some software yourself:
The first is GetDataBack. It saved me at least 4 times in the last 10 years. It will try to reconstruct the whole filesystem. It won't write the sdcard, but in case of success you can copy your files to your computer easily.
It's not free, but you can try the free version, which can show you if it can find the files, the paid version needed only for the actual copying.
And there is PhotoRec.
It won't try to reconstruct the whole filesystem, but tries to find the files in the raw data. It can recognize more than 440 file formats, so it should find your images if there are any...
Good luck.
tr3w, the card being corrupted is my feeling. I have tried card in a few card readers on different computers all with the same result. I will try your suggestions. Thanks, Keith
