i ve bought treo 750 sacond hand without equipement
i now have some treo data cables but they only charge palm but i cannot connect via Active Sync 4.5.
do i need additional software drivers to connect treo with PC.

ive tried with active sync 4.2 also
and i performed a hard reset
and only sign to connecting was (little usb task bar icon with text YOUR USB DEVICE CANNOT BE RECOGNIZED or sth like that) that splashes in 1 or 2 seconds.
i keep getting the same problem as well "usb device cannot be recognized". did u resolve the problem?
What software you already have on your Treo. I have Spb Mobile Shell and it's the reasn of "usb device cannot be recognized"...
i dont have any new software on the treo, it's brand new.
I had the same problem. I went into the active sync screen on my 750 then connected the usb cable and it took right off. Before that it gave me errors. Now I only have to plug it in and it takes off.

Just got a USB/power cradle on eBay for my Diamond only to find that it works great on my XP home PC, but can not find the drivers to connect on my "archaic" W2000 company/work PC. Has anyone else had this silly issue with W2000 and a standard USB charge cradle bought through eBay?? Can't be seen by Activesync or data drive mode after initial connection failure to find driver!!
Diamond connects and syncs fine with just the cable (Activesybc & data drive mode)
BTW: this is definately a USB driver issue, not Activesync or other.....

I was using 6.1 on my imate kjam and i was able to connect to net via usb cable through active sync.
But now as i have updated my cell to windows 6.5 I cant use net via usb cable .
Is there any way so i may use the net via usb cable through my pc as i use to on 6.1 and before.
when i connect my treo 750 to the usb cable the charging light comes on and thats it, nothing else happens, i have a 2gb card inside and it does not appear i cant pass music or files inside the card. nothing. can some body help me thanks
Have you installed ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center? Have you checked the device drivers on your PC to make sure they loaded properly?

yes i installed mobile device center
and since i connected the treo and nothing happend there is no driver to download from the palm because its like nothing is connected how can i download the driver or why the computer doen even reads that something is connected via usb i connected the treo via bluetooth to my sis computer
i connected the treo to my sis vista laptop and same thing

the guide says that i need to sync via cable
what is weird to me is that when i connect the usb to my pc it does nothing am gonna buy a new usb to see whats going on
and if after that everything its the same then the problem is with the device.

I got the same problem with my treo i bought it on ebay from hong kong , i'm trying to contact the seller . Any sugestions on this , i already try everything but nothign happens!!
