What ROM to use if I want to use the TKaiser with T-Mobile USA?

Hi,
I have a German T-Mobile MDA Vario III (HTC Kaiser). The Phone is Sim Unlocked and CID Unlocked.
I want to give the phone to a friend of mine who lives in the US and has a US T-Mobile Sim card.
Could you guys tell me what ROM he should use and where I could download it?
I assume there is no US T-Mobile Rom for that phone so I might need to install the WWE Rom and manually? (and where do I get this data?) put in the T-Mobile USA Internet settings (or does someone have a US T-Mobile .cab I can install?).
Also Do i need to install a keyboardfixing cab?(The German Phone comes with a QWERTZ Keyboard..)

why not just show him how to flash a rom so he can do it himself. then you guys can be flashing buddies

dude, you've been a member since april 2006, you should know by now how things work around here. the roms you can get from the wiki or searching or even everything below this post, internet settings by searching, as for the keyboard.......that might be special, but i think you can also search for that solution, and i think there might be something on that in the hermes wiki

I found the WWE Rom, the only thing I cant find so far is the T-Mobile USA .cab file.
Any chance of helping me find it?

WM 6.1 for AT&T Q9 Global

I done several searches and I don't see this but is anyone working or have a rom for WM6.1 upgrade of an ATT Q9 Global (Q9h)?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. I've done several extensive google searches, and haven't been able to find any kind of download link to WM6.1 ROM, or a North American ROM, for that matter.
Anyone out there have any advice?

The update is not available yet. Even at everythingq.com. AT&T is holding off on releasing it for some unknown reason. My guess is that AT&T has new phones coming out with WM 6.1 and they are affraid that releasing the update to WM 6.1 will hurt the sales of those new phones.
WM 6.1 for the AT&T Q Global has been completed since at least April 1st. Microsoft gave 50 AT&T branded Q9h's at a CTIA preview event on April 1st. Those 50 Q9h's had WM 6.1 on them with all the AT&T customizations already done.

AT&T hasn't given the go ahead to Moto to release it, so currently, using Motorola software update is useless and even if you try, it says there is no update for your phone.

unfortunately each ROM is locked. Im made mistake, dont see my first ROM on device
and naw I dont know who is ROM be original on my Q9. Its nobrand (Im suppose).

I also had a perfectly unlocked Q9 and now locked to AT&T...
And none of the unlocking services I tried have codes for unlocking it since its not on the AT&T IMEI database.
Does anyone have an unbranded unlocked Q9 they can be so kind to dump the whole ROM and share it with us?
I think this should be the only way now of reverting our situation.
What are your thoughts?

I loaded 6.1 on my kaiser.. no probs..
now I load 6.1 on my Q9e, and Blam.. Locked..
Solutions? Can I go back to an unlocked? or is it like the iphone, where upgrading only makes the unlocking worse?

Hi Gurus,
I bought a HTC touch SIM unlocked version from India. It was working fine with Vodafone India SIM. It had only Asian and Australian networks listed in the Network Wizard.
The ROM specifications are:
Model: ELF0100

Radio - 03.07.90
Protocol - 4.1.13.51
Ext Rom - 2.20.720.103
At present I'm in Netherlands. When I wanted to use a Lebera SIM, it started searching for Network and I got a notification saying " Network 20412 not found. Request your device provider for updates".
After searching for network multiple times, now it just says Invalid or No SIM. It is a new SIM and works fine with other phones.
I haven't tried anything funny coz I'm a newbie in this area.
Request all of you to help me so that I can get my phone working.

and we have all been waiting for quite a while for a 6.1 rom for htc touch...but seems as though its a wild goose chase

install this cab and select nederland..

ayyu3m, I had the same problem as sam_delhi when I inserted a Vodafone-India sim in my phone. Even with the new cab you posted, there is still no choice for Vodafone-India.
Is there an even newer version of the cab with the very latest networks?

he aint looking for an unlocker dude...his sim is jus searching for an operator, which his network wizard doesnt have.

That didn't solve my problem. When I tried installing the cab, it installed successfully but gave a warning that this software is for a lower version of windows.
I checked the network wizard but it still had the old Asian and Australian networks.
Any other suggestions???

Nope I didnt get it...

its not spelled as netherland. its spelled as Nederland
but lebera is not available as an operator...only KPN, Orange, T-Mobile, Telfort and Vodafone
i have heard Vodafone had partnered with Lebara in the UK, which allows Lebera to use the Vodafone network...so try selecting Vodafone with Nederland from the cab i gave here

When I inserted my Vodafone-India SIM, I tried selecting 'Hutch' (as that is who Vodafone were before the re-branding), but still it wouldn't log onto the network.
Are we using some sort of Airtel specific ROM?

yeah, the time i bought ma elf from bangalore, it was Airtel sim locked. But now they are sellin it unlocked to all

Lebera here in Netherlands is using KPN's network. But even after installing the CAB I don't get Nederland listed in the Network Wizard. The CAB installed successfully but gave a warning that the CAB file is for a lower version of Windows than the current.
I've Windows 6.0.

thanks ayyu3m. but i thought the network wizard was only for configuring your gprs connection. isn't the phone supposed to pick up and register to a network automatically. do u need separate cabs for this?

nah bro. it does more than that also. it sets country and operator, so that our device can follow that network. and yep need cabs....but if its only newer...or havin more countries...which may include ours

I am having the same problem. My dad gave me an unlocked HTC touch GSM and it wont work in the US . I have tried both CIngular and T-mobile sim cards and it would give me the same error Network 30196 not found. Request your device provider for updates. This is really pissing off. I tried the new updates and speed connecting wizard too. Nothing seems to work.Need help here..

I was on the HTC site today looking over the info on the WM 6.5 upgrade. Does anyone know if the ROM update English version for that phone will work for us CDMA owners or is it only for GSM phones?

Will not work, but the unlocker will drop today or tomorrow and there are many 6.5 ROMs ready to flash.

Is tehre a mode for sim unlock? IOf not I will buy without problems a code on internet for unlock it.
2nd question:the hard spl must I use hard spl for s511?
3rd question: I'd like have italian rom, can i install the offiacil htc upgrade rom in italian?

2. HardSPL is the same as for the Verizon Ozone (CEDA100)
3. I don't think there are any Cedar ROMs in Italian. You may be stuck with english.
Be advised that using Verizon ROMs will mess with the keyboard layout. Once I get some free time, I'll look into cooking a Telus 6.5 ROM (if they don't release one).

I have a Telus S510 that I am now using on AT&T network. Is it ok to install the 3volution ROMS from this website...I assume they will change to the Ozone style keyboard, but will everything else be ok?

I had a 3Vo 6.5 rom installed. The keyboard did change to ozone layout (easy to fix through remapping), and I found the wifi to be kind of flaky compared to the stock telus rom.
