i got rid my tilt rom and put in a original kaiser rom, and recently i put it the touch cube, and my start menu bleeds white, and i have to scroll thru the list to make it look normal, if i dont, u cant see any thing but the icons and even the icon have a problem, they repeat them selves down the list, as of right now, instead of haveing diffrent programs listed there, i got my calculator icon listed through out the entire program field in the start menu. i dont kno wat to do, i never had this problem, if i dont solve it i have to flash this thing again, which im not looking forward to

Why do people insist on starting new threads for these things? Please post this questions like this in the thread for the rom you downloaded. try disabling cleartype and see if that fixes your problem.
i installed the kaiser tweak and it did not help anything !
i dont know how to work it every time i change some of the settings it dosent work and when i go back to look at it the setting didnt even change!
and it alwaies pops up
"connecting to media net"
like every 5 seconds and it is dumb
can someone give me a step by step tutorial on how to install the kaiser softwear and how to keep it on and tweak some of the settings.
and a little help on how to disable the pop up connecting to media net thing that pops up...please!
After searching the forums for so long I finaly found a program that disconnects Idle connections after x-time..
Even with location or auto weather/twitter/stocks turned on..
It's called CommMgrPro (CMP)..
How to:
1) Simply install the cab to your main memory.. and when promped Proces\Service ---> choose proces..
2) When asked to restart the device press yes..
3) after restart a popup apears.. (skizzo) install it to main memory..
4) when CMP asks if it should be integrated with manila say yes..
5) launch CMP from startmenu and press right softkey for menu and choose settings. Once your in settings press the profiles tab and press the right softkey (menu) choose profiles-->add
Name your profile & Description than press right softkey (menu) and hit save..
when asked to create a 24 hours time frame schedule press yess..
6) now you can go and edit your profile if you want.. I just left it the way it was..
7) Back in the settings menu choose the connections tab..
Where it says default: choose your GPRS connenction and check close Idle connections. (set the timer to whatever you like)
for example mine is:
Default: Vodafone live!
close Idle connection: 30 seconds..
8) Hit the left softkey (Close)
9) Back at the main screen you will see huge button (unknown!) Hit it!
when prompted just continue.. tap Profile and choose the profile you just created and choose no time limit..
10) tap left softkey (hide)
your done.. back at the homescreen in Manila in the top left corner you should see your profile name..
If everything is done well the connection should be terminated after x seconds..
And for me it works like a charm!!!
Also there is an other program made by the same dev named bandswitch..
Some people in this thread state that Bandswitch is more than enough to get it done So feel free to try it out..!!

Hi there. I'm not an expert on this, but didn't WMLongLife already does the same things and even more? I know it's working fine on my HTC HD2, but I don't really have access to 3G where I'm living, so I can't tell if it's "really" working or not. Also, the installation process is much simpler and common...

There is an expiremental HD2 compatible version.

Thanks a lot for this man. Looks like it's working fine with many people. Thanks for your quick answer.

Trying it right now.
Better process or service?
I have selected process to be sure I can terminate it easily if something goes wrong...

And you installed it on HD2? And it works?
I've tried to install, then I've soft reset.
When I go in Control Panel and execute GB-SOFT Tweak.
First of All I can't see correctly the "About" tab.
Second, after I set the timer, I can't close the app.
Any help?
Mmhh, after the second soft-reset (done by removing the cover and pressing the red button for reset) because my device locked up after using GB-SOFT Tweak, I've tried it again.
Now the app closes normally.
But I can't see it auto-disconnect after the time I've set (1 minute) for test.
Do you configured it in a particular manner?
Can you help me/us, please?
Weird...
wmLongLife never works for me [tested on my Cruise & then on my Leo].
Seems like I'll try those two cab on this post. =]
I think this app might take too much memory for the less usage we need :/
However I've installed it. The problem is that the applications main screen keeps on poping every 10 secondes when I'm using my phone. For me it's unusable. What am I missing ?
guys.. just check the first post for commMgr this one works for real..
I also noticed that the huge battery drain has been halted...
wmlonglife would be fine if it didnt have this much issues.. and also when I quickly want to look up for something it takes too long to switch from 2G to 3G.. sometimes it wont connect at all..
that's why I kept searching for something that didn't have these issues...

strange, but mine worked perfect directly..
The link from the first post is dead. I downloaded CMP directly from http://www.commmgrpro.com.
Installed like you said, set at 30 seconds and… it really works, finally indeed.
Thank you very much for your post.
Hi all,
is it possible to write a small program like the wifi toggle,
just with the function to turn the screenlock on and turn the display off?
reason why:
i dont have the auto screenlock enabled because i dont need it the hole time, just when i go to work and home.
so it would be nice if there a small app like the wifi toggle to do this 2 steps.
anyone? many thanks in advice!
dont wanna use the hardwarebutton?
what about pressing START and LOCK?
DN41
use VJDeviceLock
this old app should serve your need well
I have the feeling that you can use one of the four shortcuts created by laskarface in this thread. You don't have to install the whole theme, just download the LaskarLink v1.1, there should be the application you need. But beware, I'm not absolutely sure it's really the programs attached to the icons, and not some other modification of manila... Maybe you should go to this thread and ask laskarface directly...
I use this app, don't remember where I found it, but it works great..
when i tries to set a home screen background and even after the crop step , the background dont be fit to the screen
it being larger than the crop that i have done before
my device is i 9100
my rom is jelly snap
but i have tried to post at the rom page but i couldnt as i am new here
hope to solve it
by the way how can i disable the home screen scrolling

you cant post 3 threads within 30mins and expect them to get answered very quickly. you can only wait my friend. as for your problem. i would just recommend getting a new launcher they will most likely have the option to disable it.
