wich rom for the htc t4242/touch cruise 2

can somebody help me wich rom i can use for the htc touch cruise 2
ive been searching for it for a couple of weeks but cant find anything
i hope somebody can help me because its driving me nuts that i cant find a thing
You can basically use the rom that the phone came with. The phone was just released last month. And since HTC doesn't make a habit of releasing phones with a variety of roms and Spls to choose from, it is up to people on sites like this to develop mods and hacks for it.
Since very few people have the phone to hack, you will probably have to wait a while until any custom roms come out.
It just got a wiki page and doesn't even have a forum page yet. However you could be the first to cook a custom rom. Good luck and start cooking
i tried cooking for my hd but i dont really get it on how to do it
i managed to get one rom and installed it but then my phone stoped at the bootscreen
and i dont know how to extract the originel rom from the phone
and how to make spl

new to fuze, have rom questions...

i just started browsing this site a few days and am very impressed with the whole community..
anyway, i just swapped out my samsung epix for an htc fuze and love the phone so far. I've already succesfully removed the at&t tab, fixed the small mms issue, and changed the default device.home.
thats apperently the the tip of the iceberg as far as customizing this phone goes. I am now interested in a different rom. I've noticed a lot of good things about the energyrom 2.0/3.0 and am very interested but also hesitant to flash my phone since i only just got it and dont want to void any warranties.
my quesions;
1. whats the latest energyrom 2.0 build? (maybe give me a dl link)
2. does the rom come with a bunch of apps im not gonna use?
3. Do i need to flash the radio before/after the rom or at all?
4. and which radio is best?
tia, im looking forward to learning more as this phone will do until i get the touch pro 2 or whatever comes next.
edit: i do realize there is a wiki and have been studying it, i've also seen the rom flashing for noobs section and have a rough idea that hardspl is a failsafe should anything go wrong
I'm just going to say that you need to find the answers to your own questions.
Start here.

Welcome to forums
Energy ROM is great!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536751
im still iffy on going to a 6.5 rom cause i guess its still a beta version on winmo (i think) so i was more thinkin on 6.1, i dont need newest just something different from stock but stable as well.
i was lookin at this list (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael_Cooked_WM6.1_ROMs) and noticed energyrom 2.0 build 41609 was the newest but the thread link doesnt work.
i clicked the energyrom 1.0 build 32609 thread link and it brought me to a thread for energyrom 1.0 build 41609.....is that the same as energyrom 2.0 build 41609?
i also looked around and noticed the radio is untouched with just a rom flash so ill leave that alone for now. thank you for showing me how to use google anyway.
I am using 6.5 EnergyROM. It's very stable. Try it. The radio in my signature really works well in Northern California.

aight, i think i will. thanks again for the info.
i flashed the rom to the energy 6.5 rom and am pretty amazed at people are willing to do for free. now ive only messed with it for about an hour but am loving it.
the only thing im worried about is how high the memory usage will go and how the battery life is affected..

New Rom Maybe..

Hello Ladies and Gents,
ive been around for quiet some time in the xda world and im finally back with my tmob wing and im ready for an update. with a new rom.
ive had the mda for 2 years and now been withthe wing for about 3 i got the latest original rom update from t-mobile but that stops there. i need somthing easy and that doesnt take up too much of my time installing and easy directions lol. ( im so lazy)
if you can point me to the best rom out that wont FRY my wing ide greatly apprecieate it.
im basically tired of this storage issue being extreamly low. and just slow, slow performance.

Who has succesfully rooted a MyTouch 3G (1.2) w/CM 5.0.7 test 5?

Hey all, New to the forums here, but not new to hacking/rooting
Just wanted to see a rough guess at how many people are running the latest CM on their MyTouch 3Gs (US users at least)
My phone is succesfuly running with the google add-ons, no more GPS problems (that was a deal-breaker for me just about) but managed to fix it. haven't found a major issue what-so-ever so far, phone is overclocked too BTW
If you've got the latest CM (5.0.7 test-5) running on YOUR MyTouch 3G, post here and let the community know I'm curious to see how many people have taken the leap of faith to downgrade to cupcake and then GoldCard the crap out of their phones ^_^
Also, if you have issues with CM 5.0.7 test 5 on your MyTouch, post em here and lets get to the bottom of em! troubleshooting is kinda my thing
Glad to be here, hope i can become a descent contributor/troubleshooter here on the forums. PEACE! from NC USA

Not too many people huh?
Well, im willing to change that Anyone needs their Mytouch or HTC Dream hacked PM me

You're on XDA. The vast majority of users who own the MT3G have already rooted the phone (not hacked) and the vast majority of those users are more than likely running Cyanogen's latest.
You probably want this forum for a MyTouch 32b (google branded) or This one if you have a 32a (HTC branded) device. Forums for a particular device tend to get much more traffic than this 'General' forum.
I wish I could retrace the steps but it look a few different loads to get test5 to come up without freezing at the boot screen with logo, sometimes just a reboot into black, but I did eventually do it and safe to say my mytouch fender is running test5 without a hitch.

I would like to get direct info on how to get this running step by step

Hi guys

Sup xda, my names Bilal and this is my first time posting here. I do have a question though but I've got a lot I want to talk to you guys about
I got my tmobile mytouch 3g about 4 days ago. On the first day my cousin had already told me about this site and how beneficial it would be to me real soon xD. The next day I had already begun looking up important things i needed to know to end up with a custom rom on my phone. I looked up the specifications to my phone (like checking the radio and SPL versions) I found out my phone was a 32B and had new SPL and Radio. I found out the Roms that would be compatible with my phone as well as the method to go about doing it. the next 2 days basically consisted of my going through over like 15-20 different methods over my phone (but all of them basically had the same routine). I mean, you have to root it then get a custom recovery than flash the custom rom. But this is simplified as I'm pretty sure i searched and found 3-4 different ways for the simplified root recovery rom steps. Anyways it was real frustrating since I failed many times on all 3 steps . Anyways with the new SPL Radio 32b Mytouch phone 2.2.1 (since i idiotically upgraded it to 2.2.1) just flashed cyanogenmod 6.1.0 about 30 minutes ago. Haha I'm so excited to see the possibilities.
I wanted to thank this whole site and the people from the unlockr because i searched a ton of guides and Google'd over 50 questions to figure out the process suited for me and even though it ended being extremely easy compared to the people who had to work hard to develop all the things involved in making Rom Manager, Clockworkmod and Armons Custom recoveries, and every easy step in the process that we take for granted. I didn't have a clue in programming scripting developing software or ROM's for anything before flashing my phone. After doing it I still don't have much of a clue even though I feel like I did learn a whole lot I know I'm way more interested in learning how things work.
You could have probably skipped this whole essay and went straight to the question though xD.
My question at this point was what exactly are all the possibilities (or some that I'm not aware of) that my phone has now that it has flashed cyanogenmod 6.1.0
One thing that I have definitely noticed and feel that alone, was worth the 4 days of tirelessly failing, is that my phone has become a lot faster, and I mean in everything that it does, from opening applications to loading videos on youtube. I know I could probably search this as well but I just wanted to advice directed towards me as far as what to do next? Ive been messing around with the themes (can only use ADW as far as I know) but was wonting to find a live unlock pattern screen? I found one on youtube and I'm 90 percent sure the guy had the exact same phone as me. Also any advice on details for upgrading the overall performance on my device would be great help.
Thanks guys glad to be here
Glad that you learned some stuff. Stay around here for a while and you'll learn alot more. Anyways, yes, there are many possibilities available for you. For one, I would advise updating to CyanogenMod 7. Just go here: http://www.cyanogenmod.com/devices/htc-slide and choose a category to suit you. NB: The "Experimental" build category is not as "dangerous" as it sound. These build are actually Release Candidates which mean they are almost (if not) good enough to be a Stable build. Since you're just beginning, you may just want to use a stable build for now. But later on, you may change your mind. There are also many apps you may want to try like: SetCPU (to make your device even faster than it is now and/or to save battery life, Titanium Backup, Rom Manager, etc. ADW is NOT the only launcher you can use. It just came as the main launcher for your rom. There are many other launchers like Launcher Pro, etc. For the "live lockscreen pattern, you could try Ripple Lock (Honeycomb Lockscreen) or the sense 3.0 lockscreen found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190071 . Cheers!
