i was just wondering, i have a htc touch vogue with nsfans rom on it that i like, could i flash the same rom on my touch cruise? i see it can be done with that android rom and just wondering if same...sorry about the noob question please dont flame me thnx
i think not.....it`s qvga but.....i have a polaris...and i can not flash to a kaiser...i have discussed in xda-devel..

well each device has its own drivers/radio so you cant flash any rom...would be great if all was the same but they aren't...
with android only system is the same but we need drivers/radio of each device also, so it can work...

i have my herald unlocked for me and got a touch it rom installed for me. now i would really like to learn the how too's for installing roms properly and stop get the damn error codes. and i have read the 'how to flash guide'. but i need to know if i have to just install herald roms, or can i install any htc roms. is there a freaking video on this subject.. p.s. i cant stop thinking about this subject this is pissing off my wife. she is looking at me right now. thanks
You can only install HTC Herald ROMs otherwise, you're device may end up somewhere you don't want it to be You can install any ported build that is made for the Herald.
i did a hardspl and i am using microlabs newest rom and despite what everyone else says its really glitchy and has frozen up soo many times on me and i wanna just use ivanmmj's justme clean rom and install touchflo 2d (if there is even a way to do that). anyway do i need to go back to an orginal tmobile rom or can i just flash another rom over the microlab one? sorry i just dont wanna brick my fone
You can flash over it. Just remember: JustMe requires that you flash through an SD card formatted as FAT32.
Also, installing TouchFLO2D is possible on ANY ROM. (TouchFLO2D itself is VERY buggy, though.)
On a different note: You may get a warning from the MOD for posting this here. Please remember that the Development subforum is to talk about Developing ROMs. Normally, you'd want to post in one of the other Herald subforums.

only way to get the org rom back is to flash the device with the org rom again

If you wanted an android device you should of bought one, although most HTC devices are capable of running linux, no drivers exist and have to be written from scratch, i think the vogue is the only win mo phone with a flashable android rom

Galaxy is pretty old hardware, you can't just download any 6.x rom. It has to be for your device. As far as rebuilding a 6.x rom for your device, I think that the resources needed to run a 6.x rom would either be beyond what you have of would leave you no room for anything else.
