ive been getting pms from people wondering why i dont release all the new builds for kaiser, i usually do release them but they are hidden in the 600+ pages of my thread. so from now on i am going to do things differently, all new builds will be published in their own thread and will be a light rom with stock everything if they pass the test here, then i may decide to dress them up and release them in my main rom thread. all roms come with stock themes, classic blue is default. these roms are light and FAST, just because they look like stock doesnt mean i havent included my tweaks special thanks to Da_G for bringing us all the new builds, without him none of this would be possible
if you are a first time flasher or if you have a problem with the rom, read the FAQ by zelendel in post 2 before you post a question in the thread
NEW....i am releasing 2 versions of 23053, they are exactly the same as far as included applications. there will be 23053 stock-like(normal rom) and the new 23053 stock-like(test version). the test version only has around 68mb of free storage, while the normal version has 145+. most people use sd cards for storage anyways so i hope that some people will try the test rom because i think its the fastest rom ive ever had on my kaiser hopefully others who try it will agree. i am keeping the link to the test rom here so there will be no confusion about what the user is downloading/installing. the link to the normal version will be at the bottom of this post with the other builds.

Q.I'm trying to add a new panel to your titanium theme using cHome editor. Never had any problems with any prior version of your product. It seems to be working absolutely fine. But when i exit cHome editor, it doesn't appear on the front screen. I can disable r enable existing panels, but not create new ones.
A.The custom chome that is in rom is from ibrythill wm7 project, if you want to add plugins you need to go check out his thread in dev-hack forum or you can disable wm7 with a cab in tpc_tweaks folder in my documents and will have default chome and can add whatever you like.

How to customize titanium weather radar for your area.
In v6.1 i updated the titanium weather to v4.2 which includes radar. i left out the urls because they are in my area so you can customize however you want. the information is stored in the registy, and you can edit it two ways.

Q.When you plugin exchange as your mail source, the icon turns from the little mail symbol to a big red circle with a white X.
A.Try adding a second email act., doesnt even have to be a real one i dont think and the red x will disappear. the icon is in brozeres.dll but for some reason it wont show all the time...its random and has always worked for me but for some this happens occasionally.
*For anyone desiring to add custom cities to the Manila Weather tab, here is how it is done.*
1. Download & make a copy of the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml HERE
2. Modify the file to include your info. See the examples below and/or just copy & modify some of the existing lines in the file:

For those of you with batter drain issues, there are many things you can do to improve it besides Hard SPL and Radio...
1. Open up advanced configurator and turn on all the power saving options(They are all turned off)
2. Put it in stand by mode when you aren't using it
3. While talking about screen using up power, turn down the back light.
4. Avoid WiFi when running on your battery
5. Make sure you have properly conditioned the batter .

I have a problem to view the Chinese character in any popup notification and contact list under phone dial panel. First of all, I installed CN Font support in advance. there is no problem in the SMS, mail and normal system contact list.
uninstall the chinese font from your device..
import the attached reg key into your device..
then copy the font file into your windows directory and soft reset your kaiser.

they are all just different builds that have come out the last few days. 23409 is the oldest of the three actually, it just came from a different com tree so has a higher number. the newest is 23047, it was just released a couple hours ago you should try it

with Abu down, TPC u and Sakajati ( now that he isnt MIA anymore ) are my new best friends lol, and abu still is until he get things str8, ... ill try this rom out tonight.. i cant WAIT! keep up the amazing job!
gonna try this rom tonight, but while I wait for my bat to get over 50%, which radio should I use? I am currently on stock 6.1 rom. Gave up on flashing roms since most of them had lots of crap that were right for the cooker, but not really what I was looking for. Having a clean rom, and then adding my stuff looks very promising.

use a radio over 1.65.xxxx and you will be fine, experiment with a few to see what works best in your area

Has VOIP support been removed from this ROM? I need a clean ROM that I can use for Internet calls, and this might fit the bill.

I am using Phone_Canvas_v3.0.1917.1.cab with the .dll provided at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4434701&postcount=2701
Note: install the dialler then the dll and soft-reset.

Please Read Things to Know:
1. This Rom has not got midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any midlet applications.
2. You just need to Flash Rom, hard reset, wait for customisation to finish.
3. To activate cube please run Ftouchflo.config in Touchflo Folder and enable Ftouchflo in general tab. To de-activate the cube just do the reverse.
For useres who wants to re-align thier screen after set up.
To fix screen alignment:
1. Run touchflo.config in Touchflo folder and untick in general tab enable touchflo this will ask you to soft reset your device. after soft reset you can then re-align your screen. to activate cube again just enable ftouchflo in touchflo.config again.
Reason is there is a conflict with ftouchflo running which stops the screen alignment configuring properly

Thanks to all the Pros out there who made it possible for us to flash our kaisers i.e POF, OLIPRO, HELMI_C for his quick break through of roms and everyone who else who contributed to the kaiser community.
This Rom is optimised for speed and stability I havent tested it for long so I'm not sure what bugs are there.

IN THE RTM VERSION I have updated S2U2 TO 0.85 upon first boot it shows an error just click ok and that will be it. I still can't figure why its happening that's why I didnt update it before but it runs ok after that.

No AT&T Drivers in this Rom. I have used the latest one from the latest 1.83 release.

Will this be in one executable file like most of them or are we going to have to add this rom to another program to get it to install? I looked at some of your other Rom's and they looked 2 complicated to install. I probably did something wrong because I have been flashing for a while but I have not attemted to cook or combine.

I didnt get time to test this out fully but most of my Roms are made the same so hopefully I didnt lft anything out.
I use the drivers from the latest htc 1.83 release for testing purpose only to see if there is any difference in speed and stability.

The kitchen is based on HTC_Vox_ARA_1.27.415.4_4.1.13.47_02.98.90.
Installation : The kitchen must be installed in \Vox Kitchen on the systemdrive (C:\Vox Kitchen for most of you) to work.
Organisation of the kitchen in 3 parts : Extract, Edit and Build
Extract : if you would like to use another base rom than the Ara one. But this part isn’t really developed yet…
Edit : to edit Registry (default.hv and user.hv), to create a splashscreen and also many tools for advanced rom cooking
Build : the final step. Also includes G’Reloc.

what is the process of removing apps from the rom.. for example if I want to remove the office 6.0 and have office 6.1 by default..
You should delete the Office folders in \SYS and create an OEM package (if there isn't already one available for office 6.1, I don't know...)you will copy in the \OEM folder. You can learn how to do that here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1374154&postcount=138

Keep in mind everything won't probably work the first time and that cooking roms is very time consuming!
which files do i need to edit/ remove so as to remove any traces of the arabic language settings. im trying to build an eng (us) rom but i have come up to a snag.
my t9 defaults to arabic and the keyboard isnt responding

First of all you can delete smartarabiser.cab somewhere in the \OEM folder. You can also delete the T9 arabic dll files which you should find easily in \OEM\OEMAPPS folder.
Then there is going to be some registry editing!
You should know that the registry keys I will give can be repeated through several .rgu files and also in default.hv and user.hv. So don't forget to look for all the instances of these keys. You can find them using a search program with the ability to search text inside files. For example I used SuperFinder for my rom cooking needs. And always search in OEM and SYS folders. Not only in SYS.
Here is the list of the registry keys you will have to find and how to edit them.

This is the default language use for T9. Change the dword value to 00000109 for english if I remember correctly !

These are the available languages for T9. The order is also the order they will display in the t9 language selection menu. Remove 0801 to get rid of the arabic option.

hey so this isnt probably the best response, i just got my vox and entered the world of hacking . modding a phone is new to me (flashed many other devices) so can someone real quickly tell me what flashing with something like 'the kitchen' rom allows us to do?
I don't really know if I undrstood your question but the kitchen is not actually a rom. It is a term used here on xda dev to describe an organised set of tools to modify an preexisting rom. The kitchen is where you "cook" roms. And users of the kitchens are called "cooks"

No need for a storage card, just an activesync connection
I can not help you to backup your existing rom as I never did it. hope others will e able to explain this to you.
However if you've never flashed a rom I don't recommand you to start cooking already. If you want to try my rom however you should have asked your question in this thread. I'm currently adding a very quick guide on how to install the rom. You will find it at the end of my first post.

Is the opera mini that is included in the rom a "signed app" so that it does not prompt the user each time they want to access the net? Did you use the info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347689 to make OM the default browser? Do you have shortcuts that call OM directly? It's something like ' \windows\jbed.exe "_s0" ' and lastly...have you tested to see if the version of OM in the rom can be upgraded via cab by a newer (or older if newer is not available) version via cab without error?
Sorry for the grilling...good job on getting it included! Are you willing to distribute your oem package for other would be rom burners?

No, Opera in the Rom is not signed. I will post an update cab for that. Thanks for the info Yes, as u can see in the screenshots, Opera is opened directly. I've also put a nice icon for that shortcut
and, of cource, if you want any oem package, feel free to ask. It's a strong base so any preferences or changes to the rom for the next version are welcomed.

just installed your rom about 10 mins ago... Wifi IS working
and you forgot to inculde teh Caps/Dot Registry Tweak
lol No biggie... reg wizard fixed it... wow used reg wizard after so long
and when you open modaco nodata..... i get error msg saying
"an un expectped error has occured in nodata.exe"

LOL yes, forgot that ) i;; update that also in a cab.
Modaco Nodata gives you that eror because you haven't defined/configured any Connections in Settings - connections ( any modem connections to be precise )

Hello. is your phone CID Unlocked ? G3 ? etc ? if so, simply download the rar file from rapidshare and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and you are done

As you can see this new version have a lot of new improvement and also in the previews beta version looks more stable to mount and unmount the cards.
About the compression:
You can talk with everyone here in forum, compress file, not ever is a good ideia.
So, if you have a LOT of free space i think more interest you include the not copressed files.
But this is a SUGESTION, a SUGESTION for you!!
you can do your testes and see what is more interest for your rom

Hello Botto. Your right.. i could put the final version of wn5storage. Ill post it in the next version. and, actually that's the rom's name
Regarding Office compressed, seems to work just fine only exe's are compressed. if anyone reports problems, i'll release an uncompressed version. Cheers.
This is basically a clone of Merlin reloaded's slim wm 6.1 however the build has been upgraded from 19716 to 19199. The files were ported from the hermes build and I have verified that internet sharing DOES work on this build unlike build 19716. This build does not contain Merlin's font. The SYS portion is vanilla. The oem portion contains some basic apps such as camera, wm5torage etc.
Nothing has been done to prevent you from dumping this rom and using it as a base. On the contrary I ENCOURAGE you to and will also be including the Slim_19199_Cooking_Kit.zip which contains the ROM, SYS and OEM folders used to help with this.

Update (03/07/08) To those interested in "Activesync over Bluetooth" I am attached a replacement SYS\Bluetooth folder you can recook into the rom which uses a dll from another rom and should enable this functionality. Let me know if it does or does not work for you since I don't use this feature.
For those who don't want to recook you can replace the "bthasplugin.dll" from this package in the \Windows dir and reboot the phone. This has been confirmed to work by user pirlone.

Hypercore does not correctly extract the XIP for wm 6.1 roms. You can either follow the instructions in the hypercore thread on how to use msflshtool to do it or download the cooking kit which includes the XIP already in the ROM folder for you.

Thank you, I knew it was something I was doing wrong.... I must admit I haven't been following the HyperCore thread too closely so I must have missed the posts about it not being able extract the XIP correctly.
Can I still use HyperCore to re-build the ROM or do I need another kitchen?
Does anyone know if VoIP works with this ROM? This is one of the reasons I have stayed with ItsRight's TNT 1933 ROM (or at least my re-cooking of his base ROM) as I use VoIP (it isn't fantastic but it is usable). Is there a package I can add in for VoIP when I re-cook this?

I have only one visual issue, that pops up on some roms - but not on others. There is a white triangle on the top bar beside the "E" icon that does not go away. It just sits there - does not activate anything ??
I've had similar issue with Merlin Rom - and others.
Does not effect any operational functions - just do not know what it is - or what it is supposed to do.

I built the rom using hypercore.... download the cooking kit....unzip the SYS, OEM and ROM folders to your BUILD directory after removing old ones........from there you should be able to do a normal hypercore build. As for voip...youll just have to find or build the oem packages and add to oem folder.

Thanks again. I noticed in the Hermes forums that Faria has released a ROM based on 5.2.19199 and he lists VoIP as being included. Does anyone know if the VoIP components he used are updated? Will they work on the Wizard or do I need to extract the older drivers/files that have been floating around for a while?

If the "white triangle" is sitting above the strength meter lines it's an antenna...you can disable it with a regedit I think. It may indicate roaming.

Since I don't use VOIP all I can suggest is that you try it. OEM packages should work almost everywhere. To my knowledge VOIP is NOT part of the SYS Hermes build which means he added it.

This may be out of place to ask here but I'm going to anyway.
I currently using merlins rom on my wizard and I am downloading this rom to flash. Do I need to flash my rom back to an original rom before flashing to this rom? Do I directly flash to this one? Or do I go all the way back to square one including downgrading my IPL/SPL and GSM? Thanks for any help and sorry if it is out of place to ask here.

It's always a good idea to flash a provider rom first to wipe out any "extended rom corruption" which can cause the battery to drain faster due to the phone trying to read an area over and over. When in doubt browse the "how to flash a rom" sticky at the top of the forum which has alot of good information.

No, it's not on top of the strength meter.
If I start from the right side of the screen, there is the the time, then the volume icon, then the stength meter, the either the "E" or "G" icon depending on network, and then a white triangle..........continue over - then you have the start and windows icons on the far left side.
The triangle is the same height as the E/G square icon and sits right beside it, between it and the start menu .
No biggie, like I said - does not effect anything at all.
I do not have any screen capture software - but there is a picture in this post that shows the area I am talking about.
It shows the E icon with the arrows - well, the white triangle on my screen is just left of that.

I am also running SPB Shell on my Wing.
Search for "how to flash wing from sd card".
Download the SD versions of Trib's ROMs[/URL]
Put the HERAIMG.nbh file above onto your formatted 1GB (or smaller) SD Card.
Hard Reset your phone (pressing both "soft" keys while hitting the reset button below the volume rocker)
Once the screen flashes white, watch for the phone to ask a question then press "down" on the volume rocker.
This will take about 10 minutes, so go get a beer (or coffee).
Wait for "Press any key" message to pop up and press the "OK" key.
You should see the "tri-color" screen. It is safe to hit the reset button below the volume rocker once more.
It will take a very long time for the first boot to process, so go get another beer (or coffee).
Once you calibrate the phone, use the automated process to change the settings to your carrier.
Soft-Reset your phone again by hitting the reset button. This is very important: You should Soft-Reset your phone twice before installing any new programs!
After the second Soft-Reset, install SPB.
You're all done!
You will then have the best possible ROM for this phone running SPB Shell on. Trust me, on this, it took a very long time to find this ROM and get everything right!

This guide will help you flash my TribShell ROM if you're not familiar with flashing via SD Card.

So its the newest, or just an alternative, or idk how since i learned that is 23071 newer than 23409?
Yea 28005 is a bit newer than 23071... Guess that X button actually closes apps or that's what I have heard... I should really get to playin around with it.

Yes, this is the latest release of WM6.5.5 .
I used 23545 and I changed the GUI. I thought having a ROM that resembles Windows 7 would be cool.
By any chance are there any people that could test my Rom out. Any suggestions are welcome.

You should have no problems. Try hard reseting your phone. Directions are in the first post.
Or you can try my version 1.4.5 :

try installing network wizard on ur device and running it
ok so ive been running ur rom for a while now both 1.2.1 and 1.3.1 and some problems ive run into are: it says there is commManager but its not programmed anywhere in either version, 1.3.1 doesnt seem to have a camera, i had to install network wizard cuz u didnt have a connection service to deal with mms
other than that the roms are very snappy and nice...glad to see u incorporated the netcf3.5 in the newer version
Looks like, in my attempt to free up space, I uninstalled some important components.
I will add these apps in Version 1.3.2:
ComManager
Camera
Network Wizard
Opera Mobile 10
HTC Audio Manager
I am also going to change the EZinput KeyBoard to FingerKeyBoard.
Lastly, I think I was able to get rid of the duplicate icons.
that would b good im loving how quick the rom is ill b waiting for u newer version...ill keep testing ur rom for u as long as u keep making them too, ill b gettin a touchpro2 this weekend but will keep using my wing to test roms
Thank you for your efforts to help test them with me. My goal is to have a Windows 7-like ROM that is fast.

my wing recently a couple days ago went out on me and im not able to hear people on the phone when they call but im able to do everything else so its no longer a phone for me and a testing device for newer roms
