Screen Automatically Turns On - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello everyone,
My Fuze is about a month old or so and the past couple of days, my screen will just come on. I will look down at it to see if a call, text, or similar is coming through, but it never does. If I turn the screen off with the power button, it comes back on within a few seconds. The same will happen during a call, which is really annoying because I never know what application or setting my ear may have changed while I was talking. Any ideas?

It probably something in your power settings;
"Setting" > "System" > "Power" > "Advanced" (during charging with USB cable through a PC):
On battery power:
Turn off backlight if device is not used for [ 30 sec ]
Turn off device if not used for [ 1 min ]
On external power:
Turn off backlight if device is not used for [ 1 min ]
Turn off device if not used for [ 2 min ]
Backlight will dim but not turn off on external power.
Hitting the power button quickly will turn the screen all the way off.
You can also asign the screen off unction to a hardware button.

Aren't you confusing something?
* On: The user is interacting with the device. Everything is on.
* BacklightOff: There has been a brief period of user inactivity (no one has pressed any buttons or touched a touchscreen). The backlight has been turned off, but everything else is on. When you set the backlight timeout values in the control panel, you're setting how long the system should wait before going into this state. (Note that this state is new for WM 5.)
* UserIdle: There has been a longer period of user inactivity. Both the backlight and LCD have been turned off. When you set the screen timeout value on a Smartphone control panel, you're setting how long the system should wait before going into this state. This state is generally not used on PocketPC. There's no reason to turn the screen off when the device is about to go to sleep (sleeping turns the screen off). However, if/when PocketPCs go to the "Always On" model, they'll start using this state.
* ScreenOff: You go into this state when someone specifically says to turn the screen (and backlight) off. For instance, in Media Player you can assign a button to turn the screen off. When you press it, we go into this state. This state is different than UserIdle, though. This state says, "The user wants the screen off and doesn't want it to turn back on." UserIdle says, "The user hasn't touched any buttons in a while, so we might as well turn the screen off to save power." In ScreenOff, pressing a button (other than the power button) doesn't turn the screen back on. In UserIdle, pressing a button does turn the screen back on. Both PocketPC and Smartphone use this state.
* Unattended: This is a confusing state in which the screen, the backlight, and the audio are off. I won't go into too many details, other than to say that this is a PocketPC-only state that is used by applications which need to do things without alerting the user. While the PocketPC is in this state, the user thinks the device is asleep. For instance, ActiveSync when it syncs every 5 minutes. It's waking up, syncing, and going back to sleep, but the user can't tell.
* Resuming: This is the state the PocketPC goes into when it wakes up from sleep. In this state, the screen is off, and there is a very short (15 second) timer before it goes back to sleep. The only way to keep the device from going back to sleep is to have something put it into one of the other states. This is really for dealing with spurious wakeups and for giving the system a way to get into Unattended without letting the user know about it.
* Suspended: This is the PocketPC "Sleep" state. Everything is off, and the system isn't going to wake back up until some piece of hardware wakes it up. It's not actually an official Power Manager state, the way the other six are, but I'm including it for completeness.

When you hit power button once, you go to Screen Off (Sleep). Suspended is when your device 'completely' off.

Fuze turns off while on power and battery even though set not to

My Fuze started going to sleep while connected to power even though it is set not to!
I have checked the settings under
Settings>System>Power>Advanced.
Set to:
On Battery Power:
X - Turn off backlight if device is not used for 30 sec
X - Turn off device if not used for 1 min
On External Power:
- Turn off backlight if device is not used for ...
- Turn off device if not used for ...
That is, Both boxes under external power are not checked, yet the device turns off the screen anyway after about 30 seconds either on or off power!! A press of any key while on power will bring it back on. On battery a touch of any key within 30 seconds will bring it back on, then after 30 seconds, I will have to press the power button to turn it back on.
I decided that it must be a software error, so I reloaded, AT&T Stock ROM, Skip Bloat, and it is still acting the same way.
Any suggestions???
Open the following registry key:
\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Batt
Look for the value of PowerOff. If it´s not 0, set it to 0 an see if this helps.
H.
I have a key "BattPowerOff" I assume this is the one you are talking about, as there is no folder for "Batt".
It was set at 180. I have changed it to 0. I will see how it goes and report back.
Thanks!
After reg change above and soft reset, same behavior. Phone display switches off after 30 sec. While on bat, if I click any key within 30 sec of display switching off, it comes back on, after 30 secs, must push power key.
While on power, display switches off after 30 sec, and will come back with press of any key at any time.
Any more ideas?
bump - anyone???

I had to pull out the battery. and since then it wont turn on! When i push the power button it vibrates like it does on the startup but theres no display. Two times in the process, " battery too low to turn on" message has been displayed & nothing else! same vibrates at startup and no display problem. HELP
