WM to Android transfer question?

I just got the Eris today(re-brand of the Hero), and I would like to know how to transfer a few things. How can i transfer my contacts from WM to Android. I tried that gmail active sync method but I was getting an error. I also don't have outlook installed(have office but never installed outlook). so I am looking for another options. I would also like to transfer my SMS, however this seems a bit harder as I have the Palm SMS software installed, which is a bit different from default WM SMS software(be it 6.0 or 6.1). Thank you

TXT/Email rcv ok. Send/reply pop-up window issue

Hi,
I have the ATT Tilt 2/HTC Touch Pro with WM6.5 stock att rom
I can receive text messages and email fine --no issues with SMTP or POP or email connectivities whatsoever.
The issue is within the WM6.5 email app I think.
When I select NEW TXT or REPLY TXT (same with email), I no longer get the new window popup that allows me to reply or email. I can send and receive fine but cant send/reply or even OPEN AN EMAIL MESSAGE. I can download email messages fine and they are listed but tapping on a message does not launch or open the entire contents of the message.
I have tried deleting the email accounts and deleting the Attachment folders from both SD card and \windows location as well as \windows\messaging.
Anyone have any idea what I need to reinstall or tweak?
I did load WM6.1 IE on this phone versus the stock browser.. not sure if that comes into play.
Any thoughts?
Hmm.. so on a hunch, since I had installed WM6.1 Pocket IE as a cab file, I went ahead and removed it via the REMOVE PROGRAMS.
That seems to fix the trick, but alas, Im back to the IE6 Mobile version which I hate.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO INSTALL POCKET IE (PIE) alongside IE6 Mobile that comes with WM6.5 without overwriting the 2 files together? I really hate the look/feel of IE6 Mobile and prefer the older versions of PocketIE.
I guess at this point, I have to determine which is more important:
-TXT/email functionality or IE/Web browsing (with the old version)
You could try this HKLM\Security\Internet Explorer\MSHTML change 1 to 0 and soft reset, that will take you back to old PIE

Recipient-suggestions in SMS/Email (WM6.5)

in the standard Pocket outlook (tmail.exe) in the newer 6.5 builds, whenever I enter a few characters in the To: line, some suggestions are displayed. The first one NEVER makes sense, as it is the same as the text typed in. Former 6.5 builds did NOT have that "bug". How can I get rid of it? I already searched through all options and the registry, but no success.

No Notes application in WM 6.5 Sprint

I upgraded to WM 6.5 (OS 5.2.21889..., Manila 2.5.2012...ROM 2.04.651.1) recently on my HTC Touch Pro2 from Sprint. I may be somehow overlooking it, but I cannot find a way to directly choose the Notes application. I can use File Browser to open a note that was entered during my WM 6.1 days, but I just cannot find a way to open the Notes application first.
When you go under the start menu look for Outlook. When you open that up you will see your notes

TYTN ii Messages

Hi,
I have a TYTNII with windows mobile 5/6 on it and it will not connect to a pc using USB active sync.....I think something is blown on it. I have used a variety of 3rd party apps to try to get my text messages off it (godswmobile ect)but to no avail because of the active sync problem. I cant browse to the my documents folder in explore or anything. Is there any way to get my mms mesages off the phone.....can I transfer them through the sim card or something. I am a total novice on these devices obviously. Where on the windows installation would my mms messages be stored.....MyDocuments or something. I read something here about a .jar file holding these text messages....is that the case.? TIA
