Please help! Ive updated my AT&T Tilt with Dutty's Touch Flo ROM (which is awesome i might add) and now when im ina phone call, my side scroll wont function to raise or lower the volume. Ive searched the forums but cant seem to find the fix. Has anyone had this problem?

What you can also do is hit the scroll wheel up once and then the large icons will apear. You can then select the volume one and then you can increse the in call volume.

Took me a little while to figure this out as well
great! now it works again
no matter what rom i try to use, ( i got tilt by the way) when i send sms or just type anything with the keyboard it doesn't always register all my keys. i press them firm and slow and yet it doesn't Always take the key i pressed. have to wait a min or two. any way to fix this?
right now im using viper rom.
any one else get this problem?

Sounds like bad keyboard?
this is the weird thing, keys work fine when i first install a fast rom. it seems like phone slows down and lags a bit. im 100% keys work fine as they do when i go to a 6.0 rom. it is with 6.1 that gives me the problems.
srry i should have said with 6.1 roms.
Ive noticed the same thing with 6.1 roms.... And really the threaded SMS, and maybe a slightly quiker boot time is all i notice better on the 6.1 roms

how do you find out what hardSPL you have on your phone?
i dont remember what one i put on there. and i tried putting new 3.56 just want to make sure it is on there and was put on right.
try disabling xt9....that made a huge difference for me...
I disabled XT9, and while it made texting easier... I always have to proof read before i send.

actually what will help the most is to set suggested words to 0, using kaisertweaks or advanced config, but of course that answer should have been easy to find as i've answered it personally at least 20+ times. Also disabling autocorrection seems to help too, but i think that the suggested words is the most significant improvement.
I have the same problem with my tilt. Dutty 6.1 hybrid. My problem seems to be limited to a slow space key though. so texts look like:
thisi s howm any of myt exts look.
I am going to try some of the suggestions and see what works.

There is no "on the fly" word suggest or spell check with this ROM.
Problem with keyboard and screen
I too have had problems with the hardware keyboard. I have tried 3 different roms, all with the same problems. Disabling T9 does help, but doesnt fix it entirely. I have also had a problem with screen taps not being recognized.
In both instances, it appears the phone is busy running another process and it takes a few seconds for it to focus on the program I have running. I have checked taskmanager when this happens and the only running program is the one im using.. Perhaps a program that runs on startup in the background?
I've noticed that when I'm texting using the keyboard, it can take a few seconds for the words to catch up to what I am typing. Its weird, I'll be finished typing my thought, but I have to wait for all the words to show up after I'm done. I've turned off the autocorrect and other options thinking it was the cause .. but to no avail. Is there a fix for this?

I have the same problem. A friend of mine with a non-HTC, WM6 device also has the issue too. My guess is it's just WM6 being slow and not the fault of the device.

but i think it happens to be due to the lag.
Because ill get a text message...and ill open it...and it will be on the screen.
Then i will open my keyboard it would switch to landscape and i will start typing, and if i look up, it would be as if the words were trying to "catch up" to my typing. But after like 5 secs it would be back to normal.
Maybe just the lag that comes out of openning the keyboard?
I think it's the lag too. Because if this happens when I notice my device is running slow. After I do a hard reset though, when it's the fastest, i don't have this problem.
The other day I typed a six page paper on my phone and there was no lag; I had just done a hard reset.

I would blame wm6.1 for the lagginess since all the phones i've used have this sort of issue. Add to that tf3d and your processor is working ot.

By the way my Fuze (with stock ROM) doesn't have a delay. It's one of the few things I really noticed on the change from the Tilt so I don't have a need to try it...sorry but hope this helps
This is likely entirely related to the amount of 'stuff' you have going on in the background, on a clean ROM you'd be hard pressed to get this to happen. The more stuff you pile on, the less responsive it's going to be. I didn't notice this behavior for the short time I was running the stock Fuze ROM, though, so a 3rd party program may be the culprit.
I think its because the OS give priority to redrawing the screen, and your text message comes second. Every WinMo phone I have ever used will lag a little bit when chaging the screen.

I just installed the cab and everything seems to be a lot faster. Once I get typing more during the day will be the real test but just some messing around typing words I didn't notice the delay. So far so good

It is pretty small if you ask me. I've found that rotating your thumb "around" the center circle hardware button zooms in / out on the text. It doesnt work so 100% smoothly (WinMo again probably lol) but it does let you enlarge text. you can also set your typing text and system font to be larger elsewhere but I dont recall off hand.

i just installed it it definetly seems quicker
of course when sliding out the keyboard there will be catchup just because its working extra but after a few seconds its all good and stays fast

Yeah I have a Touch Pro and I think its worth it. I've been texting all day on it and the catch up has been improved greatly.
Yea I also just did the suggested tweak and now it takes about half or less of the time to catch up. The lag is usually only a few characters now.
So after playing with my bothers Samsung Behold the day T-mobile had it at the stores i wanted something for my elfin that would give me Haptic feedback. I had been using it on my Elfin for months now and it was the first thing I installed on the D2.
Yes the Diamond 2 has haptics but they do not compare. After using this and setting it up you would not want to use a touch sceen without it.
I have mine set for 35ms upon touching the screen and also 35ms on release. I love it.
Battery life on the Elfin was unchanged and you can also set it so it only works on the keyboard if you don't want it all the time.

Does this help handwriting recognition?
Does this help handwriting recognition or does it just activate the vibrate function when pushing buttons on the screen? TD2 has pretty poor handwriting recognition versus the trinity. I am hoping there is an app that helps.

my TD2 must be charged daily - with pretty much default settings / programs /and Rom ofc ...
(i should say i use the internet about 2h-3h daily)
I'm using Touch Response on my TD2 and love it. Have not yet realized any negative impact on battery. I just activate it if pencil is in, may be this helps.

however i have one minor problem, when i set the vibration time, it did apply across all program except at the HOME SCREEN. when i touch on the tab at home screen (internet, settings, message, mail etc..) the vibration i svery heavy, different with what i set. anyone can help?

not sure if this will help but try, Start / Settings / All Settings / System Tab - > TouchFLO Deactivate it.

You have to go to settinds/system settings and at the bottom it is called touch response.

That would be the stock touchflo vibration. I did not like that ir was on for only the tabs. go to settings and disable that in touchflo.

That sounds wrong that you have to charge it daily. I use internet about 2-4hrs on average per day and mess around with games and txting mildly throuhgout the day and batterey will last 1.5 - 2 days. I do charge every evening now though eventhough I still have over 40% left most days. This is with Touch Response installed.

Nice app. Been bugging me that my Samsung Omnia i910 did not vibrate on all touches. This fixed that. Installed, change device to 11 and set the response as low as it could go and it's great.

S2U2 sucks. It looks verry nice and it works great but I found out that if you hit your end call button it kills S2U2. So the lock doesn't lock all of the buttons.

man be careful what you post up here cuz thats not true. the only button thats unlocked on my phone is the display on/off button. otherwise the product would be useless and no one would use it.

DONT MISTAKE THIS WITH S2U2 ITS NOT S2U2 HAVE U SEEN THE LINK ??? GO THERE THIS WAS ACTUALLY FOR VGA SCREEN RESOLUTION " Kisja's Locker mod which is for VGA"
I didn't mean the link, I don't know anything about that screen lock. I can't say anything about Kisja's lock. It looks quite good to me!

S2U2 (the iPhone look-a-like) doesn't work correctly on my Topaz. If I hit the end call button it will end S2U2 also.
i dont actually care about how does lock look... I just work efective auto lock, with user set timeout .... Build in auto lock in wm6.5 sucked.
Now i'm on wm6.1, any sugesstions?
I'm using s2u2 as well - there's a lot of configuration options and so it can be pretty much customised to your needs. I find 2.20 better than 2.21 for the topaz though.
Don't have problem with end call killing it either..
