Delete delete /data/app_s/ using adb i need a step by step i try doin wat qteks said but to remove dont werk
open up ya command prompt and type:
adb remount
adb shell
rm -r /data/app_s/
exit
this will delete ya entire app_s folder, use caution and make sure this is what you want to do. if you just want to delete the files inside of app_s, use the same command but do "rm -r /data/app_s/*" without the quotes. Itll preserve ya actual app_s folder, but remove all files within it. make backups before deleting anything in case you want to revert.
Next time please make a title that is related to the thread, also try search before you start a new thread and put it in the General section, since you are not trying to develop anything here.
This is the same as I would go to this forum and post a new thread about "How do I shoot web?"
Thread repported!

i think you're download a wrong package
it seems that package is source, u need to download binnary version (precompiled)
or, u can compile it, try this command on linux
Code:
./sourc*eabi.sh
or u should read that txt file on zip

This is a Windows Batch file which should make your work with ADB much, much easier and faster.
It contains ALL of the basic operations with ADB which you'll ever need.
Logcat? Check!
Push files? Check!
Pull files? Check!
Shell Emulator? Check!
Install files to system folders even if your kernel have ro.secure=1? Check! (but you'll need root though )
And there is feature I call Smartshell - it lets you do basic operations with only drag&drop!
If you d&d file called "boot.img" on Fastshell file - it will flash this file as a kernel to your phone.
If you d&d file called "install.apk" on Fastshell file - it will install this file as applicaton without wiping application data.
If you d&d file with any but these name - it will push this file to phone.
For full reference, read help.
But don't use the backup feature as a full backup. It only lets you fast-restore system in case you flashed, for example, broken framework-res.apk. If you wipe your /system and restore this - it won't work.
In future I'll do the full-working backup with Busybox installation.
That's all!

Update uploaded! Now the program is nearly finished.

Install
1.) Backup your current bootanimation:
Code:
adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip bootanimation-backup.zip
2.) Push new bootanimation
Code:
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/media/bootanimation.zip
adb shell rm /data/local/bootanimation.zip (may or may not exist)
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media
Thank u very much and remember to hit the thanks button if you liked it
For smaller file size, I would ditch the transparency (just make the background black or white or whatever color you would like it to be) and then export images to PNG-24 (no transparency) e.g. with Adobe Fireworks.
You could also Save for Web with Adobe Photoshop for smaller file size, just don't use transparency .
Wow, that was great :highfive: can you make one like this for our K900 also
I am trying to build ubuntu touch for my device.
I accidently selected "home" directory for .repo
And didn't notice until the process completed (LOL) and even ran few commands after it.
Here is what I did->
Command one->
Code:
phablet-dev-bootstrap home
(I dont remember writing "home", but since the ".repo" folder was in home directory, lets assume I wrote it).
And after things completed, I ran these commands->
Code:
repo sync -j3
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch cm_devicenamehere-userdebug
(This is where it failed and this is where i realized the mistake.)
Now my home directory looks like this->
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(I marked the folders with red rectangle which I think got created during this mistake.)
Though I removed ".repo" folder yet I think I am left with some folders which are uselessly present.
Please help me to remove useless folders.
PS-> I already started process just now again and this time using directory that was actually meant for it. Is it ok?
Thanks.
Before anything, I'm pretty bad with all these stuff, so if I'm doing a stupid mistake sorry about that
I was trying to install Island (by Oasisfeng) on my rooted Galaxy S7 (stock) as I needed something to replicate Secure Folder. My device has root access, and has Magisk Manager installed. However, apparently Samsung won't let me install it due to having custom OS (which is just TWRP I believe)
So, the setup guide for Island says I could manually install it like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
ADB recognizes my device, however, I get an error while trying to create a user as well as trying to change the limit. I've looked up for a while, and found out that my ADB doesn't have root access, as I get "Permission denied" if I type "su". In addition, my command line shows a $ instead of #.
Now, I've also gone through forums to find a reason why this is the case. Obviously my USB debugging is enabled, I have rooted my phone, and in my Magisk Manager settings Superuser Access is set to "Apps and ADB", which I thought would be the fix for this but apparently not.
Am I missing a step or trying to do something meaningless?
Thanks in advance.
