Hey Guys,
I'm searching for the "HTC Connection Setup" with version 1.10.0.0 or higher.
I have only the version 1.5.0.0 and i can't find it on Marketplace.
Need help please.
(Sorry for my bad english)
I don't think there is a new version yet and there may not. Where did you hear of version 1.10?

this came with the latest HTC OEM package posted on XDA. I extracted the connection setup that was part of the package. It is version 1.11 (see below). I assume this is the latest that's out there.
here is the link
note that when you unpack the files they are hidden. You need to make sure exporer can see hidden files and hidden operating files for you to see them.
the HTCAppManifest.xml and it says this:
<App Title="HTC_Connection_Setup" Version="1.11">

I have installed [ROM][ICS][4.0.4][AOKP] Vanilla ICE v2.0 [Aroma][CM9 Kernel](09-05-2012) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629209 on my HTC Desire S.
Bluetooth is not working with ICS.
I'm able to hit the BT Button, it stays grey and after a while it switches back.
Via menu, i only get "Activate Bluetooth?" but there is no possibility to select an answer ...
Any ideas how to solve this?
I wanted to ask my question in the Desire S Android Development forum, but I'm new here and can't post in development forums
Maybe someone can move my question to that forum?
Thanks in advance!

I'm going to reply my-self:
1) Install Vanilla ICE 2.0 normally
2) Download BlindICE v4.1 Update (yes it is ok, because this file only contains Bluetooth patch).
3) Open zip file and delete "build.prop" file under "system" folder (it is not necessary to unzip file). I also uploaded this file here [BlindICE_v4.1_Updater(Vanilla_v2_BT_patch).zip] with trick done.
4) Copy zip file to your Android Phone and flash it like a ROM install.
5) Enjoy
Hi All
Anyone with the P5110 running PPPWidget with Cyanogen 10.1 ?
Is this just a config of the APN details? Its on T-Mobile uk
APN - general.t-mobile.uk
USERANME - user
Password - mms
any help or guidance much appreciated!
UPDATE: Ok so it looks like after a reboot and another attempt this IS actually a lack of drivers problem. Can anyone suggest a Jelly Bean Rooted Rom that will work with PPPWidget or simply have the APN/Mobile network settings so that I can get this working Please
Many Thanks
jason

Hi
thanks will check out the links. From Josh - PPP Widget creator - and rereading his forum in day light it is clear that he does not tackle custom roms, obviously there are too many when you stop to think about it.
so two options seem open to me -
1 get these files for the rom "ppp_async", "option" and "cdc_acm"
2 go to stock ROM that PPP have already got working
Will read the links and see if they help clear up which direction to head in.
Jarope
NEXT kernel has option, ppp_async, and usb_wwan kernel modules. Is cdc_acm really necessary?
Any suggestions on how to install this on my archos g9 101 withi this rom?

pppwidget is installed but when i connect my usb-ethernet device it comes no driver.
on another rom it worked perfectly...
Hello there,
First sorry if there is somewhere a answer to this but i tried to search and did not manage to find what i was looking for.
Well my Question is ..
Is there a way to enable Google Now side screen ( the one where you pull the screen to the Right and the card show .. see attached) on a rooted stock rom 4.4.4?
Just to mention that the voice Command "OK Google" works !
When i had SlimKat installed it was enabled but when i whent back to stock it is disabled.
It is disabled due to country limitations i think when i was on Stock and Not rooted but know since i know it works on custom roms is there a way to enable it ?
Here is a screenshot of the app you need for that if I understand your question correctly. Once you open the app it will ask you a series of questions.

You might see if XDA has modified version for that. Try searching and you might find something but I don't think so.
Ok i found some steps on the web which worked very well.

Do these ROMs have the slight but constant micro-stuttering that the stock ROM has?
I guess all these ROMs are loaded with Google's stuff?
With the exception of Play Store I'd like to be free of the Google fleet of useless apps.
It's great that you've been able to port these ROMs. I hope a lot of people use them. I just have different needs! Tx.

Yes, all of them. You can "freeze" or delete unwanted Google apps. Do it manually or try to find scripts which can do this automatically.
Hi, I was thinking to buy this tablet.
Can these ROMs fix the issue of too high brightness even at the lowest level?
If not can you recommend a free application to solve the problem?
Better this or teclast m89 pro? Thanks.

To solved this brightness issue I use the sFilter app or any other blue light filter app.
But to tell the truth, I wouldn't recommend to buy any Teclast tablet. I have a problem where he doesn't accept the installation of Instagram or Facebook app. I saw that many people have the same problem.
Anyone else with this problem or know how to solve?

I added solution, check it and let me know if it works for u
It's possible to change brightness limits manually by editing firmware files, If there's a big problem for u and other users I can change its' range sometime. Just let me know what firmware u are using.
Hello dev!
Are you still working on this device firmware? I bought it this month and not even on official site could find updates for, so I don't know if there is any firmware that I should update before using these that you made...
I'm using Pixel Experience and found it great. But I had problems with the initial setup, which always had trouble trying to recover the configuration of another device. When I checked to set up as a new device it work fine.
I could not open Magisk too, but i wanted to disable it and remove, but always shows error when trying. I'll try MIUI in sequence to see if I can.
Another question: The modified Stock has gapps included? (and can I remove root?)
Thank you so much for your work, I was happy to know that have other firmware for this tablet.
PS.: sorry for the "google translator english", my english is poor. lol

I used the modified rom too and liked a lot, but I couldn't install some apps through the playstore and had problems to remove root (Magisk). So I installed ASUS ROM and it is very stable and everything is working great. I'll leave it and see what happens!
Thanks!

Hello!
1) There is no more firmwares to port for our device. Also I don't know much about modding firmwares, so Pixel was my first successful experiment.
2) Latest official firmware for our device is TOS v2.1 which can be found in appropriative thread here. Seems no more updates will be released for our device.
3) Restoring function is bad idea esp on custom ROM. You should always make clean installation.
4) Custom ROMs can only boot with root access (e.g. Magisk). You cant uninstall it. In other case your device wont boot (Android 7.0 classical issue). P.S Magisk is not like "classic" root, so you can "hide" it for apps that don't work on rooted device.
5) Of course stock ROM includes Gapps. All made changes are listed in topic. Root can'f be removed on any custom ROM (see p.4).

Thank you!
I gave the tablet to my son, the Stock ROM that came on it is'nt good and so I put the ASUS ZenUI ROM. (After testing all others)
I hide Magisk and the ROM is working perfectly.
Thank you so much for the great work.
Happy 2020.
