I'm not sayign this as a knock but are there any original Rom out there for the Sapphire. Reason why I'm asking is because I have the G1 now and wanting to get it however all the Rom's I've noticed are one's I can have already or have had. I put this in the Dev section since thats what it has to deal with not some question about the phone it self.

can somebody help me wich rom i can use for the htc touch cruise 2
ive been searching for it for a couple of weeks but cant find anything
i hope somebody can help me because its driving me nuts that i cant find a thing
You can basically use the rom that the phone came with. The phone was just released last month. And since HTC doesn't make a habit of releasing phones with a variety of roms and Spls to choose from, it is up to people on sites like this to develop mods and hacks for it.
Since very few people have the phone to hack, you will probably have to wait a while until any custom roms come out.
It just got a wiki page and doesn't even have a forum page yet. However you could be the first to cook a custom rom. Good luck and start cooking
i tried cooking for my hd but i dont really get it on how to do it
i managed to get one rom and installed it but then my phone stoped at the bootscreen
and i dont know how to extract the originel rom from the phone
and how to make spl

Hey fellas, after getting more and more frustrated with my Fuze and having more and more issues with freezing when opening the keyboard etc, I've decided to throw this phone in the corner, grab another one (brand new) throw my att sim card in and start over. So I had a clean install, and now I have updated the ROM to the newest one available from HTC here:
http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=198&cat=2&dl_id=553
Now that I have done this, I want to get rid of the crap and just have it nice and clean, with no ATT branding or extras etc. I just want a nice clean black, non buggy TouchFlo, does such a thing exist? I looked in the ROM section and I see alot of custom stuff but Im not sure what I should be trying or avoiding based on what i want. Any suggestions?
Also I need to get some of the old apps I used to have that let me disable the startup sounds etc, can anyone point me in the right direction for those?
One of the cooked ROMs will do your Fuze wonders.
I personally like the Energy series ROMs, 'Photon' is the most current release.
If you end up flashing a custom ROM, read first. Read the stickys in the ROMs forum, also read the release note from the cook (usually in post 2+ of the topic in which the ROM is posted) and fianlly do a search in the ROM topic if you have a problem. People will post fixes in the ROM topic as well.
When it comes to tweaking or customizing you Fuze, I like to use Advanced Config. TouchPro Tweak is another good one. I know for a fact that both of these are included in Photon.
When all else fails, search the forums
Hope this helps.
i have a tmobile my touch 3g rooted running qtek's hero but its extreemly slow tried the fat2 to fat3 and its still slow can you post up the fastest best hero rom for the mt3g its a 32b board or is there anything better than hero that is not cupcake thanks
Next time, post in the generals section and if you can't find any fast ones here you should probably try the ones in the Dream forum, there are a few hero roms compatible with the MT3G
there is no such thing as fat2 or fat3. Qtek's IS ONE OF THE FASTEST Hero ROM's out there. Did you do your research before you posted this in the wrong forum? You need three partitions. FAT32, EXT3, AND LINUX SWAP. All Hero ROM's will run slower than stock ROM's like Cyanogen, but som are about as fast as stock before root. On top of that, this question has been asked a million times. Please use the search button next time.
Try them all and see for yourself. I personally like Eugene373 sense, or sensehero from Manup, CC, and Mike Taylor. Both roms are very fast , reliable, and themed nice.
I just copy and paste my anwser now because this question is asked a few times a day
as my title says this question is asked a few times a day.... search is cool
take a look at the threads that start with [ROM] I'm willing to bet somewhere in each of those threads you'll find more than one post saying "This is the [best/fastest/most stable] rom out" and if you look at who said it they most likely said it on a few other roms too thats because each person uses their phone differently and each rom can either be good or not for that specific person.
then theres also the style if your a fan of hero then hero roms are gonna be the best, you also have the live/die for Cyanoden people... can you guess what they consider to be the best rom??? and now theirs tattoo, blur and pulse style roms coming out so that just adds to the pile.
The only thing you can really do is flash until your happy, which its a good thing that it takes 30sec to flash a new rom, to tell you the truth i flashed a good 20 roms before I stuck with the one I use now and I bet someone would disagree that its the best rom but from all the ones ive used for what i do on my phone its the best for me
so instead of asking people that most likely use their phone for completely opposite things you do, I suggest you just flash a few and figure out whats best for what you use if its not better then the last one you flashed then restore [thats what the backups for ] and so on...
Qtek 1.8 is the best to my mind.
Are you serious no ZFroyo ROM or Leak yet, I mean I know ChiefzReloaded is working on a port for us, but seriously this used the be the place where all ROMs were born, everything came from here, I know were loosing the title as the main DEV phone to the Nexus One, but still there's gotta be someone out here with a Froyo port cooked up
im going to take a shot in the dark and guess that since there is no source yet you can't really make a clean build?

I ordered the Nexus and am waiting for it to come in. However, I am starting to wonder if I made the right choice. I really like the Bionix rom for the Vibrant because of all the features it has.
When shopping for a cell phone, should I look for a phone by the roms that are out now for it or for the roms that will come out for it in the future?
Well, unless you can travel in time, I'd look at the ROMs currently out for it, and whether or not it has a locked bootloader.
As open as the Nexus is, and considering it has Cyanogen support, I'd say you're guaranteed for lot's of other dev support.
I went on the Cyanogen forums for the Nexus S and it was virtually empty....hardly any posts. I'm kind of scared how far this phone will go with development.
