New Fast Wm6 Pro Rom Release!!!

Hello!
Theres the problem with the ROM-makers that they pack a lot of unnecessary things into the ROMs.
Who is cooking vanilla takes important things out of it.
I want that WM6 ROM which only contains the basic components.
The basic ROM is the Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.08 WWE.
The aim is to make 30 or more than 30 MB soft at resets.
I think we should take out the undermentioned things!
Theres the list:
-Adobe Reader LE
-Display switch
-Markerplace
-Voice Command
-My documents Pictures
-Windows Update
-Network Plugin
-Network Wizard
My personal view is that we shouldn’t change the other components, but you are free to do it if you want!

funny to read this ..
1. system has many ways to eat ram ... ( fat cache .. app cache ... db cache .. glyph cache .. etc)
2. if system will see additional ram caches will be increased
your 30 mb will be ONLY AT STARTUP ... after some time ... also after install some programs ( no matter resident or not ) free ram will decreased ...

your lucky .... in this rom .. this programs lay in packets (all files in 1 folder per program).. in some type of roms this lays as mountain of crap ( all additional apps files lays in 1 folder )

i am not supporting unprofessional releases .. in my rom rgus deleted ( cooking on its base will be harder ) .. next version may be crypted

some say its Vodafone V1640, some say its Dopod 900 / Qtek 9000 / SFR v1640 / Vodafone VPA IV / T-Mobile MDA Pro / i-mate JASJAR / O2 Xda Exec / Orange SPV M5000 / Grundig GR980 / E-Plus PDA IV.....
i still dont know which one is it......
But the little information i have is....its HTC innovation PU10....i got this information from my mobile coz its written behind below the battery....but out on the casing its embossed vodafone....i am still confuse.....
And other thing is my storage and program memory which i checked in my start\setting\memory is
Storage Memory: 43.50 MB
Program Memory: 49.70 MB
So do you think this rom is compatible for my device

Initial (under 5 mins of usage!) findings -
- IE homepage logo missing (no big deal!) & Use high resolution still missing
- Free Memory dropped to 11megs with no programs running...will restart and post back....hoping there isnt a memory leak!
Otherwise, its the quickest rom yet! Browsing through menus, settings is really fast!
SNAPVUE.....wow!! This is soooo sweet, love it so much!!!!

I think it's because the ROM is 128Mb RAM ready. Let me check the memory page pool & patch it to 4Mb or 5.2Mb to see if I can get 25Mb +++ RAM at startup. (reference: mamaich's 128Mb RAM & mo3ulla's 128Mb vanilla ROM threads).

I guess you're right! I remember trying one of the 128MB ram compatible roms and had really low free ram....Its starts at 20megs free after a softreset....
And gradually drops to 10-11, and towards the end it choked up and had to soft reset....do let us know once you make this rom 64Meg friendly catch-22! Thanks, take care...

FINALLY......a wm6.5 Rom that's quick, stable and very usable, I like it a lot and I think it will be on my phone for a while,
Is there a way to have the menu system sit on the time/clock line when unlocked ??
I can't believe what a good job you've done, so far this is my only gripe, and it's a tiny one )

Yeah, that's exactly the problem I want in this Rom: showing the clock tab everytime I turn on my device. I'll try to find it out. At the moment there is no known solution for this yet, we can not customize the tab order of titanium yet

Great work, moving forward at last. I am just now playing with the rom and it does appear to be the snappiest rom I have used with the honeycomb so job well done. I will report back more after I have loaded everything.

who is the other medkid ?
Storage: free ~ 94 MB
Program: after reset, free ~ 46-47 Mb
Is that good enough for you ?

My hands are dirty! It works for a little while then you get the dreaded Acitve Sync error that all the other 6.5's are plagued with. But this is a very very nice ROM.

Page Pool: 4 MB (i think this is enough - WM6.5 needs more ram to work with)
Made new animated bootscreen (took me 8 hours to extract edit and compress and actually make it work smooth on UNI). XIP was work entirely by sun_dream as he helped me in a lot of nk.exe tweaks. Devided all applications in groups and created folder icons for them. Predefined CHome Icons for Gmail and Yahoo mail accounts
So inside is:
HTC Animation (Rhodium port)
HTC Comm Manager (Rhodium port)
HTC Calculator (Rhodium port)
Esmertec Jbed 20081203 (includes gmail and opera mini)
HTC Task Manager 2.1 35539 (provided by sun_dream)
Vijay Candella
Changed the icons for the most common tasks in taskbar (these look more slick IMO)
This is full 21501 VGA WWE Port which means that adobe flash and IE6 are included.OEM softweare is the common for this device so thats why i do not mention it.

maybe your device is not SuperCID to get this error, anyway, the exe is self extracting RAR archive you can extract it to any folder and try to run the RUU from there

About RAM usage: after SR - ~14 mb free

installed and testing....
about 9-10mb aprox. of ram during a normal use without any program... but stable.
really stable in general...

Well i havent abandoned BA, but now will make roms for both devices, and maybe for more devices in near future

My theory about UNI roms is when rom is made to work well on 64 mb UNi it will work perfect in 128 mb uni, when i get tired of BA i will use it to upgrade my uni, but in this moment i use my BA as primary phone and it works pretty well

just hoping that sun_dream will follow too . as a former BA user myself, I am sure it will be a great tandem, explode & sun_dream, for and to the delight of UNI users... regards to both of you guys, and many thanks for your ROMs btw

Why don't you cid unlock your device, then you can flash any rom you like without modifying it
Well sun_dream makes chinese roms mostly, but he helps me a lot with the rom work. Also he releases hes roms in hes blog.

experienced my first reboot after one day of testing but basically a good working ROM albeit quite slow for UNI 64.

[ROM] FingerMe Prototype Series [WM6.5.1 Build 23037]

I know that some have been requesting some of the newer builds on the Herald. And up until now, no one has stepped up to the plate to deliver a ready-made ROM for 6.5.1 . So here it is FingerMe Prototype Series. This will be updated to some of the newer builds when I get them ported. Currently the newest build is 23037.
These are going to be base ROMs only. The only added program I will include is a comm manager because I have deemed that necessary. Also Internet Sharing is included. I used the JustHome themes for this ROM. I have included two versions: One for the Herald and one for the T-Mobile Wing.
These ROMs are LZX compressed ROMs and therefore MUST be flashed via SD Card on a HardSPL enabled device.
Please don't ask me for a ton of support on these ROMs. If you want to tell me about a bug, be sure to post it here with a detailed description. Some bugs might be my fault, some bugs might not.

Lord, why have we been clamoring for this so much? I just got it flashed and I gotta say, unless you are blind, how is this a UI improvement? Everything is just a little bit bigger is all, not neccesarilly more touch friendly. Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing you as the cook at all, I am bashing Microsoft for billing this as teh awesome revolutionary 6.5.1...and it's just kinda meh. BUT, all in all, thanks for the release, ima post a video walkthrough of it soon, and keep em coming!

I'm going to try to port 23037 tonight. It's the latest build. Also I'm removing the JustHome theme, it causes all of the backgrounds of menus and pages to be gray for some reason.

I have problem with flashing from SD card [ FAT32 1GB ], all the time it wrotes that I have invalid certicicate, if I want to flash from SD card?
I dont know to do HardSPL enabled device. Please can you send easy steps how to do it on my Herald ?
I installed all 3 cab (canonyang, disablesecurity, asergpolicy) but nothing happen, still that I have "invalid certificate".
