just upgraded to wm2005 but...

although i had sound at first it is now not working. I have sound when listening through earphones but no sound when touching the sreen or when a call comes through etc..
all relevent sound tick boxes are ticked
is this a known bug?
i have an o2 xda2 by the way

I am using the WM5 on XDA II for more than 3 months now (3 different ROMs) ... never have had any troubles with the sound
(But with AS, etc. )

I have the same problem also but it's worse with me. I don't have any sound at all and whenever I try to do an action with sound like opening a menu the device stop responsing for at least 30 seconds. As an experiment I downgraded my device to W2003SE and the sound came back so I'm sure that it's a software problem. I'v tried many different ROMs but without any binefit.

My sound sometimes is muted - it's WM5 behaviour that pressing and holding power button mutes device. Soft reset helps. I would like to switch off this behaviur but don't know how.

Can't use Cyberon voice speed dial with bluetooth headset any more!

I face this problem...
I cannot use Cyberon voice speed dial anymore with my bluetooth headset anymore!!! I had no problem using it in the past and worked perfect. But now... when i press the bluetooth headset button... it just opens the dialer and i listen all sounds from there. I don't want that, i just want to get back the default function. Can someone help me please? I guess it must be a registry tweak but i cannot find it!!! Someone please?!?!!??

I found the solution...
Ok for everyone that may face the same problem... these two posts will surely help you.. >>1<< and >>2<<
All i had to do is just to change a couple of registry keys...

Can you be more specific on what key did you change and if is working on you device? I have same problem I press the button on the bluetooth and is pop up the dial pad.

No sound on Wizard

Hi
Theres absolutely no sound at all coming from my wizards speakers when they are turned on to full volume. Also when I try to receive or make a call I also have no sound on there either. Is this a hardware fault or a software issue (I'm running CRACING's WM6.5 RC1)?

[Q] help, problems with phone call

hi everyone, please help me, my htc Inspire has a little problem with the phone calls:
first the volume is to high even in when i put in to minimum, even higher that speaker.
second, the person on the other side of the call does not listen to me, only listen his own eco.
i have literally press all the buttons to try to fix it, but it does not work, please help me.... thanks

Is your phone running the stock rom, or one you've flashed into it?

i will try it, but i don't thing it will solve the volume problem; also when i make a call, it doesn´t sound until i press speaker button, then i press speaker button again and then it sounds from from where it is supposed to, but with high volume, and the other person, only listen eco from himself...

Make sure TTY mode is off
Settings>Call>TTY Mode. It's for the hearing impaired. I had a similar issue with my headset:

If TTY was checked, you might try restarting or soft resetting the phone after un-checking.

in fact it was unchecked, but i will UN-check and i will restart this now...

nop, anything works.... somebody knows what`s happening???

Might try an email to HTC Support. I used them once and they responded within a day. Google it for the site.

[Q] [TF101] Sound problem

Hi, i search a way to fix the sound problem with my TF101;
Sound cut ramdomly and we must make pressure or shake it to fix it...
I saw many reason on the internet about this problem.
Firmware; Audio Jack.. etc
i open it to check if all are ok (wire connection) and its ok.
I see a way to disable the audio jack detection but i need to modify the kernel and recompile it... its a bit harder for me.
There is a program or something like this to fix this problem ?

Check out the Kat Audio app and Kat Kernel if you are using a custom ROM. Both can be found in the developer forum. When I started using them on my TF101, all was good again!

If you have to apply pressure or shake the tablet to get the audio to work again, I doubt it's software issue, it sounds like a hardware problem, maybe a dry solder or earphones wires have snapped inside

Doesn't sound like a software issue...I am curious if the sound goes out over headphones also? That would take the speakers out of the equation which it doesn't sound to be since you checked the wires. May point to the amplification circuit going out.
