Thank you thank you thank you!!!

What kind of performance are you getting from it? I love my JacHero rom that I'm running except that A2DP isn't working which makes it a no go. It's time to try out another one that has A2DP support. (I know Bluetooth headsets wont work on any hero).

bcrook,
Does your port require partitioning of the SD card as per Drizzy's instructions or can i just wipe & flash?
Thanks,
Rob

I only have one Fat32 partition and it seemed to work. The poor dream/32b suckers need all the swap they can get

thanks bcrook,
No problems flashing with single fat32 partition, rom seems nice & snappy so far, my Fatal1ty_Hero install from early July was clearly overdue for an overhaul as it was becoming quite slow
Cheers,
Rob

I did not partition my SD card and it is running smoothly. Thanks again to bcrook for porting it for us.

Will this work on Rogers Magic?
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. Works Great! Thanks!

how about the led? if we charge Magic does the led turn On red?

I believe this is usually messed up with hero ROMs too. I am not running this ROM so if anyone can comment that would be great.

I've been using the v3 from the original 32B thread with no WiFi problems.
What has been changed in this version?

rosie not launching.... damm... have to recover...

This is for 32a. So the kernel, wlan.ko, AudioPara4.csv.

Damn this Rom so tempting..Jiaaahhahaha...
Downloading...speed is <10kbps...somebody should mirror this...
Edit..now it is 45-50 kbps...

One thing notice, the led didn't turn on red when charging..just like the most hero rom..

EDIT: Sorry again, just took a while to load up. But ya bluetooth still no worky.

ah bcrook, you are my hero!
I wonder should i change from jacxrom 1.2 to this..

[ROM] CyanogenMod - Zoom Zoom Zoom (STABLE) [UPDATED 8/17- v4.0.1]

It's going to be hard to maintain two threads in two forums, so I invite you all to step over HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=537204
I've created a version of CyanogenMod that runs perfectly on both Dream and Magic 32B, and identifies itself properly (different build.prop for each). The same ROM can be used on both devices.
Enjoy
You're the man Cyanogen. Thank you!
sweet! now we just need a 32A port of this, itll be great.

Awesome. I always look forward to see how you're pushing Android! Would love to see more Hero from you! ;P
The only issue I've found on the myTouch is that the trackball doesn't flash on incoming calls. Hrmm.

Any chance of porting your recovery over, cyanogen? That nandroid restore would be sexy to have.

Same with my HTC Magic (32A) but any other rom, such as Amon_RA's Ion based one, that I try, trackball no glow.

Errr, i guess i'm wrong.
The jogball-backlight is in sysfs and I can control it manually, but there's no code in AOSP for this as far as I can tell. Going to keep looking into it.

[REQ][ROM] 32A Hero?

Why nobody port JACHero or some else good rom for 32A Magic? Is this so hard task? There are just only 2 roms with hero builds which are not frequently updated. They also are not optimized to work well.
So, is it possible to port JacHero (or some else supported) for 32A boards?

Base Firmware: 1.5
Radio Required: 62.50S.20.17U_2.22.19.26I or higher
SPL Required: Haykuro's Danger SPL

Wipe Required: Wipe, Wipe ext
Special instructions: Will take about 5 mins to boot, this is for dexopt.
Download: Hero Inferno v1
Bugs: There is a problem with the ringtones, when you flash this rom, the folder where the default ringtones are supposed to be gets renamed. Im working on a fix now, I just figured I'd release this beast for the masses.
I am open for suggestions for improvement. This is not an area for criticism of flaming, that will not be tolerated. It only takes one person to ruin this for everyone. If you enjoy the ROM, then please rate it well, if you don't please make a suggestion to make it better. Other than that, do not get off topic and I will answer most of your guy's questions.
Oh, and I almost forgot, this is a G1 forum. I do not want to hear anything about the Magic and whether or not this will work. Wrong place to ask, I believe there is a Magic forum for that!
Enjoy

@Wm Manu
He dosent have a build yet.
Just wondering why you chose 1.5 over 1.6?
As most roms are 1.6 or 2 (don't use personally. Need camera) seems strange to me to flash an older firmware.
Was wondering how long you would go dark, does this need swap or can it work with just compache?

Hero doesn't come in a 1.6 version.
And since HTC STILL hasn't released the drivers for 2.+ that are compatable with the G1 it seems logical to use 1.5

They most likely wont, but tmo is releasing 2.0 for g1 so drivers will be avail before February assuming devs will continue to support G1...Eugene has a droid, manup a mytouch, maxisma a liquid..Some devs are upgrading their phones which was my point, if they stay with G1 that would be nice. But we'll still have cyan for custom roms.

video works unlike OE!
a little slow though - I will update with new kernel maybe....

how do I flash it? : with a recovery tool like every other rom you have flashed
Who do I thank?
KingKlick and MasterOSX
thanks king for the rom
thanks master for the kernel

CM Kernel - original working build
Download Port v2
WG kernel - new improved speed / response
live wallpapers dont work with 3d enabled it seems...
Thanks alan090,
I gave this a try but seemed very slow on my phone. Much slower than the openeclair + 32a patch combination. I'm using fat32/ext3/swap.
Anybody else seeing this?

To be honest, you can't do much. It's 2.1 and until the official stuff is released, doing whatever you can wont make a significant/noticable difference
And I have no idea how to partition the sd card. Maybe in the recovery where it says "PARTITION SD" might help, IT JUST MIGHT HELP! What a stupid question. At least if you fail to have any common sense at all, at least read the other 283713290 threads that tell you how
Has anyone tested this ROM with HelixLauncher?

Hi,
after many test and hours, here is my second ROM!! I will port villain's ROM tomorrow, I can0t active wireless connecionts on this ROM!
really, it is a port of DarhLegendv5.0.5 , ported to 32B (and G1 perfect SPL too(?))
To port this, I've used a WG kernel with RAM hack.
Partition Layout: Fat 32 ;; EXT 2/3/4 ;; SWAP
Wipe : data/factory reset, dalvik-cache, SD:ext partition
So, the links..!:
DarchLegendv505.Artifexed.v01.BETA
works:
most things!
don't work:
wifi, BT, camera
Change Log:
v01 : BETA release
Thank to say what you think about this port!
Whats the point of announcing a ROM without actually announcing anything other than the fact it is coming ? Seriously ..
No offense or anything .. thanks for putting time and effort into building a rom.. just saying that this thread is kind of pointless if you're not actually announcing anything ..

Ive noticed alot of devs have been doing that in the cdma hero forums. Kinda like how tmo, sprint, at&t tell you your gonna get 2.1 update except this is actually gonna happen.
if the rom didnt have a release date then say something but since its tomorrow then just chill i am starting to think people join to flame people

it should I know i got it on sprint hero but i dont know what is gained or lost in a port. I do want to add thankyou to the devs that make roms cuz I know I get sensitive when people say something bad about my work and they just let it roll of them like water. Also I like the idea of telling you when the next release is cuz you aren't stuck in limbo wondering how things are going
how is it going with this production

Hi,
anyone can help me?

The wlan.ko needs to be built together with the kernel. You can't just take a wlan.ko and stick it in a ROM.

Well basically you can, but then you'd have to use the same kernel build that was used to build that wlan.ko. Every time kernel is compiled, modules for it need to be recompiled with it.
