After using the Sprite Backup program to restore my smartphone, I'm experiencing a problem with the Settings menu in my WM6.1 phone.
When I go to the "Clock & Alarm" menu I get this:

Alarm 2 as you can see, exists twice. The worst is that it in order to use the alarm you have to change both of these menus.
Also, in the Settings - Home Screen menu I get the following options twice:

Show Recent Programs
Color Scheme
Background Image
Homescreen Layout
Show Recent Programs
Color Scheme
Background Image
So in order to change the home screen, I have to go and change it twice.
These problems have been reported in the Sprite Backup site by other people but no solution was given there. My only option is now to find the relative registry entries and try to edit them.
I'd be more than happy if anyone knows where these registry values are in the WM6.1. I don't know if other menus are duplicated too, up until now I havent noticed something. So if anyone knows where the "Clock & Alarm" panel entries and the "Home Screen" panel entries are please tell me.

Strange thing,
I dont know what happened but I lost SMS sound notification. Everything is ok with settings, but no sound and 'new sms' icon?

I'm lost 'sms options' in from the list too.
and only sms notification is on 'home'.

just enable notification in your sound screen.it will work for sure..
I've got the same problem but It's not the solution
i had the same problem with sms notification, but i found a solution.
i made some changes in registry, but (fortunately) i noted down all. the problem was with SMS-threading function (in WM 6.1), what i disabled because it's terrible. after i tried to re-enable it, the sms notification (sound,screen message,led blinking) came back, yippee!

don't forget the soft reset after you changed the registry.

The issue becomes to change from threade to normal simple sms accounts so back to the normal or please reflash your rom or... make a hardreset.. hahahaha and for the enxt time be more smart like this guy and read more.... oh and search please... use that tool i had a tuttorial for it on my signature.

The first one is to enable ClearType in landscape.

The second CAB is for Power Saving. It enables 3 power management options in the registry. I don't know yet how successful this is, but on PPCs it is very good.http://www.mediafire.com/?9xsulxowjzz
If you don't want it anymore you can easily uninstall them!
Please report back if they work properly, especially the ClearType one, as I read that it reverts back after a few reboots!
Thanks for the CABs, but allow me one question: when exactly occur the jagged letters? I tried some apps (including File Explorer 'Recent Programs') and had always antialiased letters.

On HTC Touch HD I'm having a problem to open contact from call log. Using Rhodium dialer

On right side of contact line (where red arrow is pointing to) you see that
icon ? Kind of contact "icon". When I click on it - it suppose to Open a contact like this:
And it does, but ONLY if I DO NOT use MS 3.0.1. If I use MS3.0.1, then when clicking on contact "icon" (see red arrow) - NOTHING happens Contact does not open. That "icon" acts like it has been "pressed" (image changes a little bit), but no action.
Also left soft-key - "Contacts" ... on the bottom left of the screen ... when I press it - nothing happens. It suppose to bring up list of contacts.
Can somebody help ?

Also have the same problem on my X1, without Rhodium contacts, but with the rhodium dialer. Can it be a regional problem just like the issue with the messaging? I had a look through the registry, but found nothing obvious.

And on XDA i can't find the right treat thats works with stock ROM. Or the clock doesnt work.. Or there are other things that don't work..

And i can't change my background anymore with this cab.. That blue vista is my wallpaper in the other tabs. but for the home page i made my own background, but it doesn't work.
And after removing my cab it works again like it should (accept for the 'oproepen' and 'agena' stuff:

Already tried but it works for VGA only.. So this will mess up your homescreen even more
Search for "Max Manila" in forum search; Allows you to cycle through having no items other than clock on the home screen, no agenda, no call history, and mixtures. Powerful app.

OK, I'v found something. A small configurable application called XTask, download link here.
Btw, if you don't know where to start, just click on the taskbar and drag the line down. The XTask Settings allow you to configure its internal menu and also replace the Start Menu entirely with its own diagonal icon layout. It arranges icons by same strange order, probably like the original Start Menu, but maybe I'll find how to change that.
Alternatively in its settings set it so its file manager starts when clicking the Start Menu icon and browse to Windows\Start Menu\Programs directory. It is normally alphabetically sorted and you can arrange shortcuts to various subfolders. It can be even more easily done with Total Commander or from PC.
And for phone settings click on Control.
