Ok so this is a noob Q. Is the baseband what gives my charge Signal?? Ive been having problems with dropped calls and lack of network stablility would this fix it and can i upgrade to ee4, root flash roms and kernels and still keep the new baseband? Thanks...
Im running alteredbeast 4.1.1
And I lose data signal all the time.then it comes back.
I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it.
Alteredbeast is ED2 so idk if ee4 will fix but I've been hoping so.waiting for alteredbeast to update to find out

Have flashed my TMobile Sensation with LeeDroid and have lost "hearing aid" option. And another thing, I see some kind of a earpiece icon right next to my battery indicator. Never had it before flashing.
Anyone with the same issue??
Same here. But I'm on Android Revolution HD.
i never had hearing aid on my australian release sensation. I think hearing aid was a T-Mobile addition maybe?
I had the same damn problem! It happened when I flashed the rom, rebooted and flashed any other add-on. It bugged the **** out of me. I looked everywhere and couldnt disable the icon. So I had to wipe and re-flash the rom.
What I did to make sure it didnt happen again was flash the rom and then flash all your add-ons like wifi calling & battery mods before booting.
If you happen to find a way to get rid of the icon, please share how.
I have stock ROM, but I never had hearing aid option (unbranded)

I did full wipe before flashing rom, but icon is still there. It looks like it's enabled, but no option to turn it off. Hearing aid is/was a great option to boost week Sensation speaker.
I have the same issue. Posted the problem on "[ROM] Android Revolution HD" thread. We'll see if he has an answer...
same problem here...no idea why it is stuck on
hey guys, currently hating myself for rushing into this so badly...
i DO NOT have a backup of my stock rom
ive rooted my nexus s, it is the i9023 (thats what it says on the back) and im looking to either unroot it, or connect to my carrier through my current rom (peter alfonso 4g ics)
My phone isnt 4g, its 3g.
whenever i try to flash the rom for unroot (i9020t_9023.zip) i get the seemingly common Status 7 error... but ive google it aplenty and have found no fix
even if i did want to change the rom, i cant, because the pete one is the only one that seems to work... feel free to make suggestions, ill try them.
the last thing is my carrier. im on vodaphone australia prepaid. im not exactly sure how, but apparently reflashing the radio helps?
thank you for your help
So I've been trying to upgrade my phones from a custom ROM to the official 4.0.4 releases on Nexus S 4G. So I flashed the IMM76D signed zip (flashable one) and got it working. A bit after this, I noticed that I wasn't getting SMS messages. I'm not going to bore you guys with a backstory, so I'm just going to say what I did.
I used "SMSC Updates" found on the Cyanogenmod Wiki to update my SMSC settings (tried all of the following numbers: 07918188561627F7, 07917140140000F0) after seeing it as a suggestion somewhere else about SMS issues. I re-flashed the radio (the new one that released with 4.0.4), and I still cannot get it to work.
I've tried several ROMs, too. Un-rooted, re-rooted, had problems with recovery (solved those, though), and re-rooted again. Also, attempting to use 4G settings crashes the phone.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? As far as I know, I'm able to send SMS, but not receive. Could this be a Sprint issue?
Thanks.

When you say new radio, do you mean LC1? I have had that radio for a week and all is good. If I were you I'd take a screenshot of my current setup and post it on here. I would try to, if you haven't already updating Prl and Profile and call Sprint and get them to reprovision your phone.
Hope you get it fixed soon. Sorry I couldn't be of more help..
xation:
Have you resolved your SMS issue?
My wife's S4G is doing the same thing after OTA: can't send, only receive SMS. MMS, on the other hand, are fine.
I've also tried the mentioned CM SMSC update, did not work; tried (*#*#72786#*#*) re-provision, but no luck.
Running out of ideas...
Just a follow up:
I installed Go_SMS, un-installed Handcent, and SMS started working!
OK
so im a noob...
i'll be honest...
I have a unlocked and rooted sgh-i727r From rogers..
i unlocked it and did all the rooting myself...
I installed twrp from teamwin... so i guess im not a complete noob lol
Now i downloaded the Liquidsmooth 4.1.2 RC8 released nov 15th...
From the other forum...
I flashed my deviced with new rom it booted up fine and seemed to work...
now i have 4g or lte with gingerbread i get 4g or lte connectivity
after i installed the new rom i got 3g which i have never seen on my phone before... and i was unable to get 4G or LTE
I also didnt have to sign into Gmail etc to get my contacts... i had none... i thought we had to sign into a google account?
Do i need to flash some gapps? or something? i tried Goomanager and yea doesnt work on my phone well it works but doesnt reconize my device maybe its cause its gingerbread? also i dont really know what gapps are? do i need them? where do i find the right one if i do?
So i went back to my old set up... only thing the first time it kept booting into recovery and trying to reboot so i did the recovery again and everything was back to normal the way it was before i did anything...
If someone could help guide me and tell me what im missing that would be great
thanks.

Gapps are the Google apps. Read the stickies and instructions before you flash stuff
