as title implies evry rom i flash to my kaiser, non the of the d3d drivers work, the only way that iv goten them to work is by flashing atts oem rom and then manualy installing them, iv tried them all htc ci kai,cab. neos, the omnia ones, evry single one of them refuse to work on my kaiser while i have wm6.5 intalled
and btw my kaiser has the msm7201

most of the 6.5 roms for the Kaiser have the 101 ram hack cooked in. The d3d drivers do not work with that hack in place. The only chance you have is look for a 6.5 rom that does not have the hack. Not sure if there are any

No prob. You might find you will have better luck cooking one up. I know there are alot of 6.1 roms with out it but not sure about 6.5. Check out TPC and Josh's Kitchen thread. You may find your answers there

I think it is built it to the 6.5 kitchen but I am sure if you ask they will tell you how to remove.
il have to post and ask then because yea, i just read it up Xd, talk about being in a hurry =/
edit: i cooked the rom removed the hack and it still does not work

Sakajati's hyperdragon rom always use samsung omnia d3d driver, and doesn't use the 'super ram' method to sacrify performance. check my signature for links.
by the way in my opinion the samsung d3d driver is the best one for kaiser. there also is a sererate thread for this driver.
after flashed a wm65 rom without the ram hack, you can use some utility tools to disable the large start menu, large menu, large title bar, shutdown animation, etc. then wm65 will be super speedy running on kaiser.

Hey, I have a few questions about the wizard. to the chefs here.
I usually cook for herald, but a friend has a g4 qtec 9100, and he wants a rom from me. I started to cook, by port a kaiser rom to wizard, using kaiser sys and oem from a wizard.
Cooked in my packages, built the rom, and coverted to nk.nbf.
I flash with the shell tool. And here comes first question:
Since I have Vista, I presume that this is what cause some problems. When I use the shelltool, I get a "freeze" on the program (It dont answer) But I let it be on for aprox 20 min, when its "frozen"
The rom install fine, but the exrom dont install (In herald this is running fine after flashing the os.n
I tried same with a clean wizard rom, flash it, and no extrom loads??
second, my htc hme dont show up..weird...maybe its the reg settings that need to be changed?
Well, Im sure this is "silly questions" that all you chefs here has knowlege about, and im sure you have answered it many times before

Hi everyone I got my Kaiser 3 days ago and I've been reading and sending pm to some people then reading some more and I now have my first cooked rom on my kaiser
I still need to figure out how to port the xip but for now I have a rom 0s 5.2.1620(build 18533) so it's a new build but the xip is not realy new
I still need to make some changes to the oem stuff
anyway just liked to share this news as some of you might know me from the prophet forum.

it's still to early to tell but I'm trying to make it work but in this flash I did not get it working.
edit I just tried and I can launch all sides of the cube using it's shortcuts no black screen as on some devices

A piece of advice when posting and especially as you are wanting to flash your device...... You need to read a whole heap first and understand what you are doing..... if you do not you will end up bricking ur device and end up a shiny paperweight....
Suggest you read the wiki page and as pilot says the relevant section on xda, and please dont flash if u dont understand the process because we will only see you in here asking for more help on how to unbrick yes?

ps before my first flash i read for hours and days, making sure i understood what was happening, why it was and what to do if it went wrong. My first flash on my prophet didnt go right, but i knew after reading more why and how to correct it.

THe universal is an old device and hence you wont get official 6.5 rom or even a 6.1 come to that lol. If you read the wiki page above like a said before you will find a link to all official roms
so 6.1 or 6.5 will not come to my device
it means i have to use this 5.0 version only ?
lol HTC wont bring out an official 6.1 or 6.5 rom for that device, its too old and they want people to buy new devices, hence why XDA is great!!!
You only need the official 5.0 if something goes wrong, my mate had the same device and used a m2d rom which was very nice, so flash away!!

Download and keep safe an offical 5.0 rom, dont use it unless flashing to cooked 6.1 goes wrong.
There are many good 6.1 roms in the forum, so go ahead and try some when you understand what you are doing
so i dont want to try it if it is not clear that 6.1 is supported ot not
i will only do if u r 100% sure that it is supported
take a look in the universal section, you'll find many 6.1 roms there my friend

I can recommend you Tomal wm 6.1 8.5 or 8.1 ROM´s
Actually wm6.5 ROM´s are in beta and are not so stable, and if its your first time flashing go for 6.1

Onboard D3D Driver?!
After first start of this rom on my MDA Vario III, I've tried to run the q3ce, which requires D3D drivers. I did not install any of them! Just tried tu run the game, and it is running!!! Slow, and unplayable, but running! So I think this rom should have a kind of driver, shouldn't it? And I've realized, that the camera is much faster, even in darker room. And it requires a better video driver for this performance, isn't it?

You hadn't search a lot. You can switch manilla 2D to default windows 6.5 home in pcarvalho rom for example.

it's been a while, but not many WM6.5 roms around? I see only pcarvalho and pdaviet in the forum
but there's no way to search "WM6.5" as it returns nothing.

and the sticky that was there for WM6.1 etc now gone...
tried pcarvalho eXtreme but it seems very slow, is this due to WM6.5 itself? should I stick to official WM6.1?
