WKTask on WM6.5 - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Is it possible to make wktask background transparent in wm6.5?
In wm6.5 im forced to set black or very dark wallpaper if i wanna use wktask cause otherwise bar seen behind the icons of running apps.
Or maybe is there other app shows running apps in taskbar icons..?
attached some examples of what i mean:

Hi,
there is an option in register "design" - Force 3D design even it flat theme
disable this option and the bar should have the style you want...
but don´t really know if this works on transparent backround too....

yes i'm doing it & i have flat bar but not transparent, screenshots just example i found in google...

same problems here
any registry edit to resolved this problem?

Same problem.. It's a pity, this soft is so great.. Any other soft with same features?

Try this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606162
It's great!

Does it have same feaures (program icons on the top bar) than Wktask?

See the screenshots.

yeah but is the ugly X blue icon? the close one?

Nopes. That's the program icon.
It shows like this:

And why are icons on the active program title? Is it normal?

Errr, how would you switch tasks if there wasn't any icons in the active program bar?

yep but wktask can hide the title when more than 1 program launched. Not this one? It's very ugly with the icon mixed with title.... Are there people here who accept it?

This is a simple and effective program.
But you are too complicated for me.
I give up.

it look pretty good, but jst because icons come on the titles.. I will wait for releases

looking for a solution for transparent background. Would make my taskbar so much more beautiful.
I realised that despite disabling the battery meter on top, there is stil some extra 5 pixels of additional taskbar (for the battery meter). On WM6.1, disabling it takes away the extra pixels, but not on WM6.5.x
Using Energy Rom 21895 WM6.5.5

I posted a TIP thread a few months back... hope it helps

edit : sorry kind of miread ... this won't help you make it transparent... sorry

Gray line in WM6.1

Hallo, I have a question. Under the titlebar and above the bar with the calendar and the contacts in wm6 is a small gray line. Is there any way to remove it or to change the color?

Welcome to the forum
I used to have a bar similar to yours but in the upper part of the screen, and later I understood that was a very nice and dicreet battery meter, I´m not sure if in your case could be the same. If not try to reflas the ROM if it´s very anoying for you, otherwise I don´t think it´s a big problem...
I invite you to READ the Wiki.
Hope it helps and good luck,
lol.. that's amazing. i have been plowing my polaris for almost a year now and not once did i notice this bar. you must have very sharp eyes.
I don't remember seeing an option to change this bar in any of the color customizing applications i've stumbled into. you can use a different shell tho.. if you want to get rid of it.. like Wisbar Desktop Advance..
i might be wrong (it happens to us all haha) but this can be changed with UI tweaker (edit)? or do as Nir says and just change the theme
I already tested UI Tweaker, but there is no option to change this line. I thought this lines are the plugin seperators, but that was wrong.
Whit Wisbar Advanced this lines are black. That all I want, but with wisbar there are to many other changes I don´t like.
unfortunately i have no idea how you can change that.. as i tried UI Tweaker myself to see if it's possible and didn't manage.
RC Mod doesn't work either..
mmmm, if the lines really do your head in, change the colour of the top bar itself personally i use black (hence no lines) but i had to change the theme first.
I'm using the classicblack theme and i still have that bar.
my screen shot. I dont have the lines?

Transparent top and bottom taskbars

Hello,
I'm trying to get my top and bottom taskbars transparent. But I have no success.
I tried the cab from smaberg, changed the manila files in windows folder and also removed the taskbar.png with transparent ones.
All this doesn't work for me.
Who has a solution for Manila 2.5.19211619.0.
Thanks.
For transparent taskbars you have to use "HDWall" - search for it
smabergs cab is only for the cutains behind the operator logo and the bottom slider

have fun!
But tbh, this is not a solution for transparency... It just replaces the black backgrounds in the top and bottom with slices of the selected wallpaper, meaning that as long as you can see the top bar, even if in a program, it will have the same slice of the wallpaper.
Real transparency comes for example when you press the windows hard button and get to that menu, that's a real transparent bar at the top... Although it might work in the same way, what do I know. I just find it too ugly that when you're in another program the top bar still has the slice of the wallpaper..

I tried HDWall. But the result is not satisfying. The bottom taskbar is now like the wallpaper. But the top is black. If I go to start menu the background is from the theme only the bottom taskbar is from the wall paper.
If I slide the menu I can't see the background. All is black except the bottom taskbar.
At the end this is ugly.

I played a bit around and deactivated Sense. So there´s the standard WM 6.5.5 homescreen - with transparent taskbar & softbar. Why isn´t this possible with Manila?

Good morning!
Try to use Cookies Home Tab! and Cookies Home Tab Editor.
Cookies Home Tab can be found here:

Cookies Home Tab Editor can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633590
When you have installed this go to:
Menu--->Cookies Home Tab Editor--->Misscelaneous Settings---->Wallpaper mod and set it to HQ Wallpaper.
After do this tab Menu---->Set wallpaper--->choose a pic (the pics must be 480x800)
Same for the Top and Bottom bar.
Tab Menu--->Set Wallpaper--->Skin Taskbar and Softkeybar.
When you should have a different between the Bars and the background Pic you must do this.
If you want to disable the WM6.5.x specific wallpaper position, goto HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila and set Co0kie.WinMo6.5.x to 0 and restart sense.
Hope this help!
Thanks. I have the latest version of CHT already and I know about the taskbar and softkey bar being transparent but what I was talking about was making the HTC Sense Slider Bar transparent (not the actual slider itself but the bar behind the slider).

I think it should make only the Slider Background transperent! But i will have a look in the files maybe i can say more than.
I think you can use it with your slider! I had a look on it and can only find background files! The best way is to test it.
Thank you Dic3ptor for the cab and it did the trick but....... you can't see the icons on the Elegancia Manbo V Slider now. Any ideas?

PLS add a screenshot! So that i can have a look on it. It s easier for me to change it when i see it!
Sorry for not posting a pic yet but the only hosting site I use is Facebook and I need to set one up for photobucket or something. Whats happening is that the actual slider that goes over the icons doesnt show the icon inside the slider/square box when you go over it. For an example, when you slide to the home screen and let go, you will see the house picture inside the little slider/selector box but on my screen the icon does not show inside the slider box
OKay now i understand what you mean! I will have a look on what i can do for you!
As soon i have a solution for it i will post it here.

Not yet, but... I've pulled the framwork-res.apk and modified the backgroud to the task bar and have attached the results.
I haven't modified anything else in the bar, hence the icons for signal etc are still blue/black... but I will do.
The only problem with this is what colour do you have the text on the bar, as the background in apps also comes through
(I was thinking that instead of a fully see through bar, that I'd create an opaque one when I get home, as I only have paint on this PC)
EDIT: I was also looking to modify the lock screen to be slightly opaque, to match the bar at the top
Will post updates here once I've done them
Looking forward to the results!

I can remove the background to the icons, there is just a lot of them and I am at work, plus I have photoshop on my mac at home, and only MSpaint here.
I'll see what I can do for the glass effect, and was thinking of doing a few different see through colour variants (i.e. black, white, red etc)
As before, I think the main issue is going to be the text, but if there is a tint of colour, it should be easy enough to read (we'll see)
Hopefully I'll be able to put up a very beta version today or tomorrow, including the lock screen mods so you can see how it will look.
I'll put a new thread up when I have this beta bit done

To be honest, I'm not sure. I haven't used the Metamorph app, so will give it a go.
I've been using adb to test
Update Time!
Quick update, its a little trickier than I originally anticipated, but more or the status bar icons have been updated (I still have a lot to do yet)
So, I thought I'd show what I have done so far...
As you can see, some of the test is difficult to see in the bar, but this should be fixed once I've get a decent glass like effect on the bar. If you're using a dark background, this is fine, but lighter backgrounds are not so good.
Also, the text and debug mode icons are not done, and some of the battery and internet down/upload icons are also not done (100 and 80% for battery are complete, and the icons where 3g is enabled but not uploading or downloading are not done.)
Still, I think there is decent (ish) progress, and hope to get something you can use after the weekend (maybe before it's out, but I don't want to follow SE's example of giving crap release dates )
PS. Sorry for the quality of the attachment, I use screencast through my PC which doesn't scale down well but is quicker than using a screenshot app on Android
Screencast - http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/

Right, almost there with the black transparent bar...
Take a look at the screenies
I'm in process of writing an installer, but its late, so I'm not finishing it now.
What I have now will be the first version, I will be changing the lock screen and other home screen bluenesses (like where I have Vodafone and ongoing, I will make them match the colour of the status bar)
I will also be adding a few more colours, preferably from the same installer, but we'll see how that goes.
Finally, I want to change the white background on the status dropdown to be the same as the status bar, eg, in this case, black and transparent.
looking good dude

Indeed, this is lookin great. I do really really like the looks of the status bar.
An idea, I know your still in very early stage atm but when you release it with your installer why not make it configurable? What I mean is so when your installing it asks you what bits you want in your choice of colours. So it would be customisable and everyone could have a version of some spec of colour that would suit any theme.
This would make a great paid app if you ask me...

Great work/concept so far!
I had thought about trying a translucent status bar background before. Can't wait to see it.
I'm trying to learn about theming a little too when I have time...
ccan u share the files... we could also work on it .. while u can compile the installer
Looks really sleek and sexy. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
BTW, very beautiful babe you have on your screen.

It's not transparent, but i love my lockscreen
It's pretty easy to do.
You can install it, following these steps.
Anyway, i'll try to make you the one you asked.
Probably some expert user, will do it first
