Every time I try to send a picture via text, I get this message:
"Warning! Unable to send your message(s). Your message(s) will remain in your drafts folder."
I was sending MMS on my old phone -- anyone know what's up? I have full signal so I can't figure it out.
I have been having the same problem lately, some days it works and some others it wont do anything.
Same here man.. intermittent..
And it happened before AND after the flash from factory Rom (ATT Fuze -> EnergyROM 3.0).. FWIW I Avg 2 bars of signal. Maybe with higher sig strength its less likey to happen.. but it seems to give up rather quickly for sending my piddle 164k msg .
I was wondering if the MMS app was giving up if the image wouldn't transfer within a timeout period.. but I just google'd a 4k image and saved it.. that wont even send. Will search more about this.
Have any of you guys uped the amount of kbs your allowed to send?
If your phone is an unlocked fuze/touch pro get on line and search t-mobile wireless data configurator use settings for t-mobile wing

My device is running WM6.
I don't send MMS often, but I've noticed that I can no longer send or receive MMS messages. They get stuck in my outbox or come in with a message saying they can't be downloaded.
When I first got the phone, it worked fine. Now, it tells me that the images are too big to be sent (don't know where the 100k limit came from), even though I only use the cell phone camera to take pics and i have to compress them. After compressing, it still doesn't send.
What should my settings be? Where do I find these settings?
Anyone?
Could I be having this issue because I use the Tmobile $5.99 internet?? If so, can someone tell me what (if anything) I can do to fix it??
im having issues when sending text messages
-Whenever i try and send a text then lock my screen the text wont go out the first time, but i i hit resend it works
-or there could be something wrong with the ROM and some times texts just fail, therefore i have to resend it
but main point is whenever i try to send a text the first time 1/2 it fails to actually send and i have to resend to get it to go out
** i am using an AT&T Micro Cell that could also be an issue, i have full bars in my house with H+
any help or comments would be appreciated
It's the Microcell, this is the problem. There are posts in this forum to fix that. Since returning my micro cell I have not had one failed text. It is a known issue, but I have had many problems with it messing with my router and signal; as well as my wife's iPhone doesn't work well with it. There is a reason they are just giving these things away...
Same here

I'm having the same problem at my home. I was wondering what the deal was, but I also have a microcell and now it makes sense. I only have the sms/text problems at home.
So I've got this issue with my phone. I'm running Iwireless based in Iowa and ILL on my Motorola xt720. The Phone is actually available from the company so its not unlocked or anything like that and its running the default rom. Anyway. I have unlimited everything Ulimited 3g internet, Ulimited text, pic msg, and calling. My internet was working fine today. I've never tried to send a picture till today and as soon as I clicked send my internet stopped working and the picture didn't send. I've tried rebooting the phone, I've tried changing all the settings back to default, I've tried switching between settings and nothing seems to work I can't get my internet back and my picture messaging still wont work. I was wondering if anyone had some idea of what happened or how to fix it?
Okay so I took out my battery, Sim card, and memory card for like a few minutes and put them back in and my internet works again. But If I try to send a picture message my internet disappears again. Anyone have any idea why its doing this?
I think that in your plan rules there is something like you have "unlimited internet", BUT you cannot upload files larger than for example 1MB. Or maybe your internet is reconnected every ex. 3 minutes, and the picture stops to upload. Operators do it often, especially it my country, so i'm accustomed to this. It should prevent abusing the unlimited upload to use gsm to uploading large movies or games by 'pirates', but sometimes interferes to do normal things by normal users
I've never had that problem with my previous phone so I can't see how that would be it. Because it doesn't even upload the picture and send it. It just shuts my internet off and the picture never sends.
So I wasn't going to post here, but I already visited an ATT store and had a sim card swapped out and they still weren't of any help even after replicating it in front of them. I never had this issue with my GS2, but since upgrading to my HOX some images sent to me won't show and the message I'll get instead is:
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal."
I think its screen captures from my girlfriends iPhone as front and back camera pictures she takes sends just fine. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have checked my APN settings against others in the forum I have found, but its always possible I missed something.
Same problem here on my Skyrocket. Googled like crazy and found other reports but no solution. I know the image isn't to large because even small rage comics that my gf sends me give that message. Pics she takes with her phone come through fine. Hard to believe that I could receive just about anything on my Iphone 4 with its tiny screen but now that I've switched to android, suddenly everythings to large for my phone to receive it

I just got this today. Any idea what caused this on the hox. It came from an iPhone 4s...
If it helps after playing with my girlfriends phone its screen caps that cause a problem and can sometimes be fixed if they include text in the message with an image. Honestly never had a problem until this phone from my gs2 but if you're getting it on a skyrocket maybe att borked their network.

This is annoying the hell out of me.
I haven't had this problem yet. I wonder if that's because I'm on Rogers.
Have you folks actually checked the file size of both the accepted and rejected attachments? And maybe check the maximum attachment size inside the Messaging app. Mine's set to 1MB on Rogers, so I'm guessing anything bigger than 1MB wouldn't come through. Maybe the AT&T HOX is misconfigured to a file size smaller than what AT&T actually allows.
I had this problem when I first swapped to my GS2 from an iPhone. My wife and roommate were still on their iPhones, and they would send me pictures without problems. We found out the issue was with iPhone screenshots, not the pictures. Since the camera photos are .jpg files, they're actually quite small and don't really need to be compressed to send via MMS. The screen caps, however, are .png files, which are uncompressed on the iPhone. Since the iPhone can send and receive png files via MMS, there isn't a limit to what they can send and receive. I've noticed that any time I send a picture via my Android phones, they send a compressed copy that is reduced in size compared to what an iPhone sends.
I've never really found a fix, but after I started using alternate messaging apps (Handcent) I haven't received the error message. I think it may have something to do with a set limit size somewhere, but I don't know exactly what is causing it. My theory on the whole situation is that AT&T determines what phone you have based on your IMEI, and if it's not registered in their system as being able to handle excessive MMS sizes, it blacklists your phone from being able to receive messages over a certain size. Back in the pre-smartphone days, if an MMS was too big you got a text message from Cingular/ATT that prompted you to enter a code on a website to retrieve the picture, but I haven't gotten one of those since my old Motorola SLVR.
I tried GO Sms Pro which I used on my GS2 without fail and I still got it - haven't tried handcent though.

The bolded part makes since. AT&T has lowered out limit to 600K where as everyone else has up to 1MB that they can send/receive. I think this is where the problem lays.
This showed on my boyfriend phone, not sure what it's all about. Can someone explain??
I don't know why my phone is so wacked out...but now I can not send Pics in Text Messages. It trys to send but just gets stuck on "sending". Any suggestions?
Maybe try toggling your data connection off/on. Or, sent out a regular SMS. Sometimes that will help push em thru. I've had issues sometimes where they'll hang like that until I receive a text, then they push thru, but only on certain ROMs.
Hope this helps at all.

I had the same problem before, then I learned that my data had to be on in order to send or receive messages through text messages. I'm not sure if this is because of my carrier or if that's just how it is.
Won't work over Wifi, which seems kind of silly.
You need to have the data on to send MMS (picture messages) the carriers do not generally count that against the data you use.
