Hey everyone, up for a new version of WM6? This "freshly" cooked ROM is based on a new available build, which is 5.2.968 All ROMs include the following:

I will make a second ROM that has the BlackBerry software in it - will add the link as soon as it is ready and uploaded-it will be the same rom but with the blackberry software in it.

Looks like the right stuff... Which camera app?

had to go with 3.00.. 3.3 was messing up the ROM and it wouldnt flash correctly for some reason. it works perfectly though - i have been testing it for a couple days. im just waiting for rapidshare to finish cause im uploading both as i type.. they should be up in probably a half hour.

EDIT: re-testing the ROM before I flash - RUU exited at 99% bc of the nk file.. had to rebuild... testing the BlackBerry version while I build the other one...
EDIT again: figured out the problem.. it was the battery fix.. so i had to take it out.. im rebuilding the ROMs and im gonna test them and upload them soon

Can't wait to try this ROM! But can you explain more about this battery drain fix and why it doesn't work? Can it be installed after the ROM is installed?

SD Battery Drain Fix
Thank you so much for the battery drain fix Ranger666. I dunno if it fixed the battery drain issue, but I did notice something interesting. Earlier, I had installed the HTC Touch dialpad skin (v2) and I lost my data icon. It had been replaced by two arrows going in opposite directions. Upon installing this fix, I got my data icon back! Granted, it wasn't the same data icon, but heck, it's still a data icon. Long story short, I'm happy.
Scratch all that... It's back to the two arrows with an 'x'. Anyone know how to get back the data icon?

the sd card fix enables the power management even for the sd card, but in my case it led to dropouts while listening to mp3 saved on my sd card.
you can occasionally decide whether you wanna activate it or not
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Class\SDMemory_Class] --> soft reset necessary!

hm.. happened to me a while ago w/ wm5.. after a couple flashes it went back to the way it was.. try this ROM once its out.. should be midday hopefully.. sorry for the delay but i wanted to make sure you didnt brick your wizards! and it should solve the problem as long as you don't install the HTC dialpad.. lol.. good luck

Lol, I'll give v2 a crack as soon as it's out. I was wondering though, what's new in this one vs the old one? I was readng the info you posted and compared it to v1; it looks the same. Can you give us a bit more info as to what this ROM will have? Again, thanks a lot for you're support. It's truly appreciated.

its just a newer build of WM6, and it has a new COMM manager. i had a few setbacks, and hopefully im gonna release it by tonight (PDT). i think (from my experiences, the newer build is better on battery. and it is only in english

whats the OS version? i have 10.2.0.8 WWE. is it newer than that? also are the DTMF tones fixed? with the version i flashed i cant use the numbers while in a call. they simply just do not work. it would be nice if they did.

huh.. thats odd.. i didnt have a problem.. and im not totally done building.. ive had continuous problems with the kitchen and i want to make sure that the ROM is 100% before i put it out.. so im not sure what the OS version is.. but the WM6 I am using for the building is the newer available.. it is 5.2.928.. i posted it! lol i only got the one w/o blackberry software working.. so the one with it and a new build (probably a v3 of this...) will be my project this weekend... im trying to intergrate a newer, nicer comm manager.. so will see how things go

Ok... Downloaded and flashed it, everything went smooth. Played around and found two things.
1) The calculator font is too dark, you almost can't see the numbers you're typing and when you press "." and other buttons some kind of mask flashes.
2) The camera button don't work, give-me invalid link and there is no camera to associate it to in "buttons"
Other than that all seams good.

Another thing... there is a error on the camera app when you try to use picture themes. I guess you deleted all the themes to save space but you need to leave at least one so we won't get this error.
This one is just a cosmetic error: on the HTC today, when you change the tab settings and let's say you remove the audio manager and put the profile selector the icon stays the same.
That's it for today... I need some sleep now. =)

Having some problems, One is that Live messenger will not open up, I had to install an older one from my desktop. Word recognition is not working. It responds very slowly. I changed the page pool to 8mb, and installed Battery status.
The battery is very good in this rom. I have been running this for 5 hours now and it is at 87%. That is running push mail, setting everything up, Using Wi-Fi on and off, using SMS, Talking on the phone for about 20 min.
Overall, it is a Great Rom

internet is workin through USB normaly , great rom lags a lil sometimes still need more time for testing other wise its great.
one thing -- anyone knows why clock changes to windhoek back when it change it to my country time, or how to uninstall some programes out of this roms to install versions i have or i need.

I couldnt get any mms pics to show up, just a black screen with no message details or attachments, all blank? cant check sent mms messages either, again doesn't show picture or attachments just size and anyone else run into this?

hey, whats going on... why isnt this ROM working for me? im new to the flash game and I want WM6 on my wizard. I did the walk through tutorial to the T but now I want to install WM6, everytime I try to install this program with the
"XP rom update" , it shows the installation screen and goes through the process as usual, but at the end of it, I still have WM 5... whats going on? what am I doing wrong?

Can´t update my weather data anymore?

Hey... Two days ago my weather update stopped working? - I´m normally using WLAN, but have also tryid GPRS. I have tryid to remove the city and choose it again and so on. I have soft-reset my unit a couple of times also??
I´m using the normal weather plugin who came with my Touch Cruise and it has been workin great (uptil now)
Any ideas??
(I have offcourse seached the forum before askin, but could find anything helpful)

yeah same for me but little different; i CAN update the weather data with HTC Home Weather Screen, but when i try to update the weather while im in SPB Mobile Shell 2, then it does not work.
It does not update with Wifi, 3G, HSDPA or even with Active Sync and broadband connection.

Well, I had a different problem, but maybe it will help you gentlemen. I wanted to be able to add local cities to the list in the HTC Home weather app. But the "included" verision doesn't seem to allow such edits. In fact, I couldn't even replace the file I needed to edit with the "device" version loaded. So I went to "Remove Programs" and removed HTC Home. I then downloaded and installed another version suggested by another forum member...

When I first installed it, I didn't get the letters down the right size of my contacts to quickly go between last names. But within a day or a soft reset, they seemed to come back and everything works great. Now I have my home city, work city, parents city, both sisters cities, and a few more I threw in for fun.
Short of an iPhone like app where we could setup cities and then just flip pages between them, it works awesome. And maybe this app will work better for you. Good luck!!!

Doh!! I found it, and yes, the weather is now updating.

Glad you got it fixed. I'm having the "outage" type problem here myself. Once I've looked online so I know what to wear today, maybe a soft-reset is all it needed.
And I definately want to add a few more cities, because the one I've chosen for today isn't in my current list.

I've seen others looking for this here, and while looking for something else, found a large VGA HTC Home in an Athena AX7510 ROM. I've extracted it from the Athena's OEMAPPS package and created a separate package with the relevant registry entries.

But I´ve tried a lot of ROM´s and several different htc home applications and always the same, when I recieve a call my UNI freezes imediatly.

If all icons are missing the likelihood is the CAB couldn't update your registry properly (it isn't "signed") -- it's working as stated on my ROM (based on Tomal V7.7) which has security checking disabled.

I took it from the Ahtena X7510 ROM, but as with ALL versions of HTC Home, it likely will use a large amount of memory.
(I'm looking into something else at the moment, so can't check).

Hmmmmm - I got the chance to test on a different ROM, and saw the same as you. HTC Home Customizer let me bring the other tabs back, and after a soft reset, it worked fine.
Let me know if you want HHC uploaded (I can't remember where I found it, sorry!).

Somehow I can't get it to work. It installs fine (along with HTC Home Customiser) but it doesn't show on my today screen when I select it, even after a soft reset :/ any ideas?

As I mentioned earlier, I see this too with a different ROM. On further investigation, it seems that the registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCHome\Tabsettings is being set to '1'.
*DELETING* this setting from the registry worked for me, and all the tabs appeared.
I'll see if I can see if there's something wrong with the CAB, and if so I'll fix it and re-upload, but you should be OK by making that registry change.

Now coming to the point, I did this (the 20 widgwts fix) on Dec 20, 2010 but I didn't have so many Addon Widget installed since today that I tried to install another addonwidget and after the softreset Sence crashed and won't start any more.
Ok, after 3-4 device restarts (but not Sence started) I looked into the registry key and I realized that the new widget was installed in the CHTI.AddonWidget slot 10 but this slot was place after the slot 0 instead of slot 9, so I deleted the slot 10 and softreseted the device and everything runs OK now.
Then, I checked (to be shure) in the registry key and CHTI.AddonWidget.Counts shows "20 (0X000014)" so I think that is OK for 20 widgets, also I checked into windows directory and the 7c60907d_manila file is right there and shows that was installed on 12/20/10.
Now to be shure not was a problem with that specific widget I reinstalled another widgets which I Tested before and worked perfectly but now, this time, I get the same problem.
I searched a lot of posted but I didn't see any reference to this matter, so I will like to know if someone else has this issue and if is there any solution to this problem.
Any help will be very appreciate.

Are you trying to install your 11th widget (slot10 - 0 is first)? If so it might just have been the wrong home.mode9 (even though it said it was for the 20 slot fix). Try overwriting the attached file to Windows - this one is for 24 slots - and see how you get on.

Ive always had the same problem, fixes just dont seem to work for me
I've been putting it down to the fact that I'm running an energy rom but I dont think this is really the issue.
Unfortunately I havent had much time to look into the matter.

well I overwrited thw new manila file into windows directory and I checked the registry key ans still showing 20 (0X000014) but anyway I sntall another addon widget and unfortunately I get the same problem and Sence crash again so I had to delete the slot 10 once again.
I don't know if this is important but this time when I looked into the registry key I saw the slot 10 right after the slot # 1 and before it always was after the slot #0
Anyways, nothing good happens, so I stiil in the same point but I really appreciate your help

Ive always had the same problem, fixes just dont seem to work for me
I've been putting it down to the fact that I'm running an energy rom but I dont think this is really the issue.
Unfortunately I havent had much time to look into the matter.

Is not good to hear that you have the same issue but at least I take comfort in knowing I'm not the only one with this problem
Hope any solution comes true for us soon because I know that new good stuff are coming.
