All Cellid of all available networks - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
Is it possible to get all the cellid of a place for the all the network available.
Example when I try to do a network search from my mobile, it shows me all the Service provider available.
Question Will it be possible to get all the cellid of provides at any point.
I am looking at changing profile etc based on cell id (not of my provider but other when my cellid is not available ).
Also Note: Phone is not in roaming so I cannot register to any other provider.
Any ideas !!
Thanks

Is there some program in windows directory that is being used to locate all the available Network ??

Network Identification

Dear All,
When roaming recently with my SPV-M5000 (Universal) in Bahrain I notice that the network name was merely a number and not a name. There are two networks in Bahrain (Batelco's Mobile-Plus and Vodafone's MTC-Vodafone). When on the Batelco network the network is identified correctly but the Vodafone network displays just a ID instead. I assume this is because there some kind of list inside the phone with networks with name and IDs and the MTC-Vodafone isn't there so a number is displayed instead. Anything I can do to add this network to the list ? All I can seem to do is to change the order of the list but not add a new entry.
Thanks

Network Operator Plugin

Hi All, I've scoured this forum and the net, but haven't come across what I'm looking for yet, so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I'm looking for a today plugin that shows network operator information such as
- Network Name (e.g. O2-UK)
- Nework Code (e.g. 234 10)
- Cell Broadcast (e.g. 01753)
- Operator Logo (one that changes with the network you're on)
I have the HTC home which shows network name, but actually didn't update as I whilst roaming in Paris last week, as I travelled between networks.
Does such a thing exist?
Cheers,
GT.

[Q] Show Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info‎ on Windows Mobile 7

DVP Mango update 7720
any update to my query
is anyone aware how I could achieve the Cell Info Display on WM7 mango?
I dont think this is supported at all.
For Location Information you can use search button and under the search bar you will see your current location provided by GPS or AGPS (this would be much more accurate than tower location information)

well I am aware of getting the info via GPS / AGPS. The main use of Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info‎ that Cell operators send service messages / current tower from where we are receiving the signal and some other info which is not possible via GPS / AGPS. Hence needed to enable Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info‎ for the Windows Mango phone. I have regular mobiles in which this can be easily displayed by going in to settings but I see no feature in Windows Mango phone
chk out this thread .. it is the same thing for this thread.. and what i also looking for

That's probably because "Windows Mobile 7" never shipped on any phones. The project was cancelled a couple of years back and none of the software or handsets was ever released.
So has any one found a solution to this issue?
I think this is a necessity, because like in my area the telecom company if told which Cell Tower is shown up on the display fixes the issues a lot faster than if we just told them the area. Because this Cell Tower helps them identify the exact tower which is causing the problem, rather than having to roam around multiple towers to find which tower is the problematic tower.

[Q] Automatically switching network provider based on location

Hi, I've tried to do a bit of searching on XDA / google but not found exactly what I am looking for. I've seen all the APN switchers but these do not alter the actual network provider from what I understand.
What I would like to do is have an automated why of switching between T-Mobile and Orange networks. In the UK we can now use either network but the current policy is that when the provider is set to automatic network selection if a T-Mobile signal cannot be found then it should switch to an Orange signal if one is available.
This is fine but my T-Mobile signal is not very good in certain locations (fail to get SMS message) and so I'd like to be able to switch to Orange without going through the system settings menu which is slow because of the network search.
I'd love to get a tasker plugin or script that could automatically perform the switch based on location if possible.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hi
Did you find any solutions for that because I need exactly the same thing?
Thanks
Sadly not, I've ended up just using the Orange signal full time.

[Q][App Request] cell network ownage info

Hope someone can help with this request/question
I'm currently on a PAYG network in the UK (ASDA) but this company is a 'virtual' network using one of the bigger network companies (currently they are using the Vodaphone network)..quite soon they are moving to EE (Orange/T-Mobile) network which would NORMALLY not be a problem except.....
I work in a factory & mobile signals in plant is rather 'sketchy' the best of times... the Vodaphone network seems to have the best signal there & this is why I chose a provider that uses this network. When they (ASDA) move to EE I'm worried that I will start losing signal strength etc & so I'll may be forced to find another provider
Now onto my question/request..
I was thinking that IF I could scan the area I work (i.e the factory) & find what cell towers are around, & what strength they are THEN find out WHO those cells belong to (as in - whether it's O2/EE/Vodaphone that owns them) I should have a good idea If the EE network will still work in plant & I won't have to start looking for another provider..
...If they aren't any good - I could find out which company DOES have the best signal in plant & then have to move to that provider instead
I know I could just use my phones 'network scan' to see who's 'around' but this doesn't show how strong their signal is
I could also go out & get a free PAYG sim from each company & put it in my phone & see which give the best reception
and I know there are apps that will show 'Cell Info' (some show quite detailed info that completely 'gobble-gook' to me ) but none that I've found tells me WHO the cell belongs to
So - Is there such an App (preferably free) that anyone can suggest that will allow me to.....
> Scan the available cells in my area
> Find out their signal strength
> and MOST IMPORTANTLY which network company (O2/Vodaphone/EE etc) OWNS that cell
It also has to be 'simple' to understand.. all I want is an app that shows how many cells in the area, how strong the signal is for each cell & a name of the company that the cell belongs to
Many thanks in advance
