Hi,
Has anyone tried EveryWan Remote software to control your Topaz? It seems that it as a problem refreshing the display with this phone
Anyone has a workaround for this problem or knows other software for controlling phone in a PC that works great with Topaz?
I've tried MyMobiler but it's very slow :|
Thanks
same question here...
Hello,
I am using SOTI Pocket Controller. It works great, without any problems, but unfortunately - shareware.
Best regards,
aDEO
Solution
The refresh problems seen on some phones are due to an optimized mode that does not work well in all cases.
To disable this mode, just rename the \windows\rcddi.dll file (on the device) to something else, and restart EveryWAN Remote Support.
Next version will provide an option in the menu, but for now this should help !
New EveryWAN version 3.1 fixes the issue
The optimized display mode that uses far less CPU and bandwidth has been disabled by default. It was not properly working with some applications using DirectDraw APIs. You can manually reenable it in the EveryWAN Remote Support menus.

Someone developed an app for SonyEricsson phones:

Would be very cool if someone could do the same for the XDA II / IIs. 8) There's gotta be enough coders here who could manage this.
Would love to lie in bed and control my WinAMP playlist using my XDA II to suit my mood. (Or better to control my wife's mood with my WinAMP playlist? )
pocketpc have an program which is called
therminal services which does that
if one dont like that then there is also pocketVNC which does it aswell
i think there are many other programs which does it aswell
No, it's not so much a slow, bloaty remote-desktop program like NetOp or VNC or similar. It's more like a remote-control (IR-type) keypad which can be programmed to send specific commands to your PC over Bluetooth.
Those remote-desktop programs are just too slow and unworkable on this tiny screen IMHO.
then i guess it comes down to what you want to control is it just audio or is it a spc audio program like winamp
i guess it's just a matter of a program on the pc which just speak with a com port it dont know that it's using bluetooth at all
and a program on the pocketpc which also speak with a com port and send stuff that the pc program interp and control what ever have to be controled
maybe there are programs like that al ready

The Jeyo one for the SonyEricsson phones can control anything, it seems...
Salling Clicker
My boss used a program to control his Apple computer, by using his palm-tungsten or his sony-ericsson t610.
That nifty piece of software is called Salling Clicker
http://homepage.mac.com/jonassalling/Shareware/Clicker/
Unfortunately, Jonas Salling is only into macOS and SymbianOS, and not into windowsXP and PocketPC :-(
But if anyone is looking for inspiration for such a tool, this is a great start![/url]
Is anyone up for the challenge of getting Salling Clicker to work for the XDA II?
(Please say yes, 'cause I just set my room up so my bed points at my computer display so I can watch DVDs etc.)
Cheers,
B
I use Total Input Elite Edition to control my laptop - I use it as a bluetooth remote control to control WinDVD, WinAmp and WinTV. The downside is with the built-in bluetooth stack you have to activesync over bluetooth if you want to create a network connection with the laptop and Total Input is a bit slow loading themes (there's a limit of four).

If u only want to remote control winamp why dont try RemoteAmp? Works great!

Hmm, looking at that link...
Is it possible to use the infra-red port of the XDA II to control the TV/VCR/CD Player etc? I seem to remember someone saying a while ago that the IR Port isn't powerfull enough.
Is it possible?

Hello,
I downloaded some program's to use my telephone (Qtek 2020 and Qtek S100) for remote control.
But my tv doesn't response on my commands.
Someone know a tweak or a other program ?

this is the only remote control program that work with xda2020
I use NoviRemote and it works great. There are lots and lots of pre-programed remotes loaded into the app and if needed you can train it to your remote as well. However the XDA does not have a very powerful IR signal so in order for it to work you must be close to the TV...
and the ir wave is pretty narrow so you really have to aim at the sensor on the tv
Is there any way to hook my Toshiba G900 which runs at WVGA to an external monitor of some sort? It lacks VGA Out so I'm guessing not, though is there any software which will stream it over to my PC? Perhaps allow me to interact with the phone using the PC, such as clicking for a stylus tap.
Thanks.
My Mobiler
download it from http://www.mymobiler.com
Thanks for that. I'm getting server errors right now so the site is probably down, but I'll try again soon.

Try this: http://www.soti.net/default.asp?Cmd=Products&SubCmd=PCPro
hope it helps,
Or you can use software provided by Toshiba - teleport (it's usually on a CD bundled with the phone). It allows you to view phone's screen and control it from a PC, or use phone's keyboard to control the PC. Not very efficient and i prefer MyMobiler over it, but it is a possible solution
Oh, and by the way, you can grab MyMobiler at places other than author's website which still seems to be down:

Does anyone know about a nice & easy bluetooth remote control application for mega/windows mobile? I'm looking for one since I bought my phone and couldn't find a straightforward app. Winamp/Media player control would be nice and also powerpoint for presentations and maybe vlc . All in one app would be great
Before this one I had a symbian phone and had an app that could do exactly this. It was called "Phone Remote Control 5.0". It also seems to have a client for windows mobile but I tried it and it doesn't work. I can't imagine something similar being available for this platform, that's why I'm asking here.
I want to mention that I tried a lot of solutions before coming here, like GRemote, VLC Remote, Bluetooth Remote Control and others. None of them seemed to work properly. Any thoughts?
Try Salling Clicker
GRemote pro 1.3.2.96 works on my touch2, with default - QVGA skin no G-sensor ofcourse
Anyone know a software that allows you to acess the desktop by bluetooth?
I´ve tried Salling clicker, using .jar and Pocket-PC cliente. But, the software don´t recognize the bluetooth.
Anyone can help me ?
