Microsoft is indicating that the out of office status (with autoreply message) can be set from within Windows Mobile.

However; using an HTC TP2 with Touchflo - i cannot navigate to calendar>menu>tools>out of office as indicate in the youtube vid. THe standard windows mobile menu is replaced by a customized tf3d menu
Someone can help me out how to be able to navigate throug this screen?
out of office is only available if you are using exchange email yh?
I set it by going to email/menu/tools/out of office, does this work for you?

Are u using TF3D? I cannot find that navigation path on my Rhodium with Touchflo 3d.
And yes - I am using Microsoft Exchange server for mail.
yes im using touchflo3d,
its easier to go to the email tab on touchflo, goto inbox then menu/tools/out of office.
You should be able to do this?

Hi Guys,
Anyone knows when HTC will make it available?
Copy / Paste (finally!)
Domain Enroll in Settings (Enrolling in a domain will connect your device with company resources.)
New home screen (pan left and right to check out missed calls, notifications like email, sms, etc.)
Change Master Security Code
Added text input settings
Recent Programs when pressing Start menu
Threaded SMS!
When you compose an email, or SMS, and start typing the name of the contact in the "To:" field, the contact names finally pop up like Windows Mobile Professional!
Internet Explorer now lets you define a homepage, and also zoom in and out using a nice and clean interface
Task Manager now shows CPU usage as a whole, and also lists it by process
Internet Explorer offers 6 zoom modes and copy / paste functionality
IE also uses a new font, which looks worlds better
ActiveSync will now try to automatically configure your Exchange settings once you enter an email address
Wi-Fi indicator in the status bar, just as in Windows Mobile Professional
New "Vista" home screen and theme

Our WM Pro 6 has some of those features already.
We have to wait for MS to put out WM Pro 6.1 first.
slow slow people.. :/
This released update is for windows mobile standard and not pro, alot of people are missing this point (it's mainly for smartphones and not touch screen).
My sources tell me that WM6.1 will be released in 1Q08. Our Kaisers will be one of the first devices to receive this update too. A large part of this will be the integration with Mobile Device Manager 2K8 which was announced at EOM Oct. AT&T was lock-step with Balmer in announcing their support for MDM which is one of the reasons that HTC has prioritized the update (Tilt).
Look out RIM.... MDM provides the centralized security management and OTA provisioning features that have traditionally differentiated WM from BB and so limited WM adoption in US business environments.
Yeah, I think Q1 '08 is the tentative date at the moment although I saw an item somwehere (can't remember where now) that some Motorola phone already has this update at present...

Would be nice to be able to hook up Pocket Outlook to work's Exchange without a VPN, if possible, and work cared.
Threaded SMS, eh? Wonder if Microsoft realizes they're going to need to change their PIM setup to record the timestamp of the SMS when it is received ON THE PHONE, rather than when it is sent through the carrier network. Otherwise, there's going to be plenty of SMS threads completely out of order.
It does

My pocket outlook syncs up with my companies Email without VPN. All you need to do is have you exchange server confirued correctly. It uses push and pull and is extremly easy to use.
There is a video walk through on engagent if you want to see the smart phone version.

HI,
Anyone got any ideas how to get goodlink and the TF3D calendar to sync? Have the same problem with contacts - seem Goodlink and the HTC apps use different calendars and contacts.
THanks
Hi,
AFAIK that is not possible at this point. Other apps like SPB Mobile Shell etc also do not support Goodlink.
I've tried SecondToday and have the Goodlink today plugins running in it but it doesn't refresh when new emails come in etc.
What I've done in the end is to junk TF3D and use the Goodlink today plugins and PocketAlarm (which support Goodlink).
TouchPro and JunkLink
try using SSMaPa to replace the application that gets called when you select the calendar in TF3D:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493810&highlight=ssmapo
I didn't have any luck on my HTC Fuze and SSMA.
I like the TouchFlo interface so I did the workaround by adding
\Goodcalendar
\Goodemail
\GoodContacts
\GoodCompose
\GoodNews
etc
on the TouchFlo PROGRAMS tab. At least, I still have access to them from TF. I don't get notifications and I wish the calendar appt's show up on the HOME screen but I couldn't make it work. Hope someone finds a better solution.
PS -Goodlink disables my Bluetooth discoverability. Anyone figured out a way to unlock this? At least my device doesn't lock ever 30 min with this newfangled software.
So in the SPB Mobile Shell there is an icon at the top for email. When I click on it, it opens "Outlook Email" for some reason. I then have to hit the D Pad over to "Hotmail."
How can I make it automatically open to Hotmail? I don't even use Outlook email (don't even use Outlook at all on the pc). I have Windows Live installed, which puts a Hotmail account in Pocket Outlook, and that is the only email account I have on my phone. The "Outlook Email" that it is opening up to is empty.
This is on an AT&T Tilt running NATF AT&T loaded 5 final ROM.
HTC Home appears to open the Hotmail when I hit the email icon, so it appears this is just an issue in SPB Mobile Shell...
i wanna know the same thing, but for spbmobile 3
Yes, here same thing... searched entire PDA... is this possible?
yes...i'm having the same problem in v3. TouchFlo seemed to default to the email box properly but spb doesn't...anyone figure this out?
Same problem here,
Is there a possible edit so it opens the right default email client?I use hotmail too.
*bump
I'm having the same problem, has anyone found a solution to this yet?
Try removing the email widget and then create a new one. It asks you what account you want it to monitor. If you are using the widget that shows email, sms and missed calls together, you will need to replace this with the 3 individual widgets.
Happy SPBing
IceFragmatic
thanks for that i can confirm it works

I'm not sure if this has been solved or not but I was having same problem on 3.5.5 when trying to view my gmail. Playing around I find the widget itself has a setting to "Open messaging client" or "Open 3D viewer" I chose the 3d viewer and Viola.
How I got to this was basically getting into the widget settings, usually by just holding down on the widget icon and choosing "Default Action"
I hope this helps some people. Not sure how this would work with earlier versions though. I assume it would be the same. SPB Shell is still very much the same in a lot of ways.
Next question is how to manually tell SPB to receive emails from the server.
Ok here is the thing, I have SPB Mobile Shell an HTC Diamond 500 (Sprint) and QMail, now here is the thing...There is a little Mail Icon on my spb home screen and when I click on it, it takes me to the WM6.1 email client (tmail.exe) now this is what I want to do...I want to keep the same mail icon and change it from opening tmail.exe to open qmail....in short I want QMail to be my default email client ONLY because tmail supports ONLY 5 email addresses and I have 7...for work and all...can anyone help me please??....
Hello,
I am using Windows mobile for a while. From the beginning, I am missing unread mail search folder. I am using outlook mobile. I synchnroze with exchange activesync. I have a lot folders and subfolders. Now, i have to open all folder/subfolders to see If i get any new mail. Is there a way to see all the unread mail like in outlook?
Regards,
Rok
Moved as not software release.
Great question, just got my Hero yesterday and would love to be able to see all my unread Exchange emails in one location
I use a program from SPB. It gives your phone some nice features and also the possibility to oversee your mail.
try it.
