Try this one >>>>http://www.throttlelauncher.com/portal/downloads/34-public-releases/84-094k
Installed using Tomal v7.7 and it worked perfectly. Just follow the instruction.
TL
Sorry to say but I cant see any photo in the photo widget using TL. that's why i'm asking manila
Do you have the zip?
inside the zip are many many files cabs and other things to set manila 2d with cabs on the HTC devices... but if it wont starts you need to install the NON hTC M2d cab and the manilla will work
the throttle launcher works well but is a 3d compliant that only tooks many many ram memory its nice but not so goo for our non 3D acelerator devices uni-processors. so lets try the M2d by cabs.
with and without the nonhtc patch cab... i think it is on page 300 or something
let me search
little more.

Please, where can I find the Non HTC cab and the VGA hack, i have searched that >500 pages thread and cannot find it.
Thank u in advance
no reply, is there a Vga hack?
There is, but no landscape support (yet) making it useless for our use.
TF3D has landscape, but needs hardware OpenGL ES for decent performance.
I'm going to try Throttlelauncher soon which has landscape support.
Exactly!!!!
VGA has tooo many posts and search becomes a hard to do.... so... the only we can do is ask for the las compilation the non HTC patch and the VGA there!!!! maybe a mod can obligate them to begin a new thread...
can you help me? I'm using Asus P320 and have been trying quite a lot of times installing the manila 2D cabs but failed. do u know the right way to install it to my P320?

WM6.5/Touchflo ROM with Flip-Clock & Weather ?

Hey Guys - I've poured over these threads and am a bit confused about the versions of HTC touchflo. What are my options, if any, that allow running WM6.5 and getting the flip-clock with weather beneath it? Is this possible? Or is this only touchflo 3d, which hasn't been cooked into a wizard rom?
Or maybe I should be able to change the look of the clock for this touchflo but I haven't been able to find it?
Thanks for any info.

I think what you mean is the HTC home plugin, right? I would say that you could use any 6.5 ROM and install the HTC home plugin to get the features you want (by the way, I just found this in a German ROM somewhere here, check out the "SKYNET ROM v6", post #7- Seems it's working there and should of course work for any English version, too). Good luck
Andreas
I think it's called "HTC Sense" ?
Thanks for replying Andreas. I did some more searching and I think the name associated with the look I want is "sense" ... i don't see a wizard ROM for that yet. But maybe i'm missing something? I've attached a pic.

hm... well, I don't know this one. But guess what- I'd be interested in this too Sorry I couldn't help. Personally, I don't like the 6.5 default look either and I keep always changing to even the 'old' 6.1 home screen, simply because I have all the information I need on one screen. I prefer this over a fancy look. But the thing you are looking for seems to do the job, too. Let's hope someone can jump in and solve the issue
Good luck,
Andreas
Once i ask cracing why dont use this on a rom.
1- this new touchflo is to big
2- our processor is to slow to process the flip clock, you can imagine...there is a lot of deferents images all the time change.
3- there is still bugs on ported version (maybe now this is not more valid)
Just one more thing, the picture is the 3d version, this one is IMPOSSIBLE to get in a non 3d acceleration device, but there something like that in 2d.
I've run this (the 2D version anyway) on a Wizard, by installing cabs onto a fairly naked 6.5 rom. It's slow, and takes too much memory and storage. It sure is pretty, though.
I think I used an "MSD-Series" rom as the base. I can't remember for sure.
I often try 6.5 but my favorite roms are 6.1. Even there, Manila2D is a hog.
RoryB's latest ExtROM-based Angel rom and TechTeamup's NSN rom are pretty evenly matched as my favorites right now. Both come with M2D. NSN loses points for using an older version, but Angel loses points for requiring tweaks to get the album view and music tabs to work properly.

I also need the same. Anybody there can suggest something
Its New HTC Manila from HTC Mega having Flip-Clock and Weather on home screen. It can be found here.
As it has many images ( for making animation like flip clock ), it makes the device slower. So its only good for newer qvga devices having 400+ mhz CPU speed and 128+ MB RAM or users how use there device rearly.
Best Regards
You can see pictures of a Wizard running Manila2D v2 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4016314#post4016314
It realy looks great but as Cracing and n2rjt and boto said: It needs to much RAM and CPU power! And is has no real landscape mode wich is a problem if you use it on a phone with a slide-out-keyboard like the Wizard. I did not only installed the CABs but cooked it into my ROM. I flashed it, tested it and 2 days later I already flashed an other ROM again because it is not usefull at all.

[ROM] CR96 Touch HD™ 2.0 by RoryB

I have begun reaching beyond my continuation of S.V.I's great Angel ROMs and will start looking to WM6.5 and 6.5.x ROMs.
I will be standing on the shoulders of Cracing's work with CR96 ROMs.
I add Smartskey, QuickMenu and xTask. I update to dotFred TaskManager version 3.3 too.
Some notes:
At home screen, left soft key is Start. Quickly tap image or touch left soft key and the honeycomb start menu comes up. Long press the left soft key and QuickMenu comes up.
With the honeycomb menu showing you can long press the right soft key and it will close, but not permanently like it used to. I figured out the exception for smartskey.
My ROM parses SDAUTO without SDAutoRun, but you need to make this change. Copy SDConfig.txt to SDAUTO folder and rename to Config.txt. Edit the file to remove HIDE:, RESET, LOCK, etc. Change CAB: to MCAB: without a space after to allow manual install of the cab. Change CAB: to SCAB: without a space after to allow automatically selecting to install the cab to the storage card.
If you do not create a Config.txt under SDAUTO, my ROM will parse the SDConfig.txt in the root, but it will ignor the LOCK and HIDE commands so all of your cabs will install automatically where ever they install by default.
In most of my ROMS I have started to use the Extended_ROM for more stuff to install. I have not done that with Cracing's. BUT, if you have a Config.txt in your Extended_ROM it will get parsed. I suggest you use the ROM with the empty ExtROM included. If you do not want to overwrite your ExtROM I include a version with no ExtROM.
I haved switched to Connection setup so...
Connection Setup, Data Base Cabs
15.0144 : Link ( From Topaz 1.43.720.1 ROM ) ( Taken from Indian Device, STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR INDIAN USERS )
15.0137 : Link ( From Topaz 1.40.707.1 ROM )
Note #1: Connection Setup don't work without installing the data base cab.
Note #2: Install the latest version data base cab and use the connection setup from settings -> connections.
1.9 m2d rom

This is Cracing's ROM from the kitchen he posted, the only things I changed are listed above.
Later I will be tweaking to improve anything I can if it is possible. Right now it looks to have 17 to 18 MB RAM free and about 35 MB Memory free.
Here are the final versions. Sorry the best I can do is still 16 to 18 MB RAM.
I did update some things and added Adobe Reader, so I took out the games.

Another spare
And another
can you tell us more about the rom? what programs have, how much free ram?
Good job, RoryB!
I have been busy, but will try your ROM.
My real interest is the RC5 kitchen, since RC5 is my all-time favorite 6.5 ROM.
I can do little things, like update the apps, but I've always struggled when trying to update OS.
I have played a bit with this released version. Cannot seem to get more RAM. I have tweaked a few things in and out. Probably will release a final version next week.
Will skip Extendir for now since it is in flux at the moment.
So, I will start looking at Cracing's other kitchen release. Version 6.5.0.3.3 RC5 Reloaded
You can build a multi-language ROM with the Italian language? I also want to learn it yourself but I need help. If you want I can help with the translation into Italian.
I apologize. I do not know how to build for other languages and my kitchen is manual. I mean it is not visual kitchen where you can select languages. You have to put the correct OEM and ROM folders into the batch to build different languages.

It has some interesting changes.
At first glance, I think I like the original look better. CRACING always gave the roms a look that could pass for an official rom, and I liked that. Yet some of the new things are useful. So it's a trade-off.
Battery bar: useful
Memory bar: useful
Quickmenu: Useful, but it makes me pull out my stylus.
Smartskey: excellent! CRACING used to include this, but stopped when it had problems with 6.5. I'd rather it start the 6.5 menu instead of quickmenu.
Icons of running programs: handy way to switch tasks, but clogs the top bar, and not touch friendly. Alttab is better.
Digital display of free memory: seems redundant to me.
Task manager change: I like the old one better.
File Manager: I don't like the change in the folder selector.
Seems to have decent free RAM. I wonder what it would be without the add-ons.
I see that most of the new things I commented on are configurable parts of the newer task manager. I think I could grow to like it

I tend to create basic black ROMs.
QuickMenu can be configured to have larger items to be more finger friendly.
If you exit QuickMenu, Smartskey long press left will open the honeycomb. Old version start menu does not seem to exist in WM6.5
Yeah I am still thinking of going back to the older version of dotFred's task manager. It seemed cleaner in a way. Delete fexplorer.exe and the original should come up (I think)
xTask can be configured to not show the digital memory readout.
I'm using CRACING's rom Version 6.5.0.3.3 RC5 Reloaded and while using opera mini 5 it stops, it takes 10+ seconds to work again. This happends often, in your rom opera freezes? In another rom this didn't ocured.

I closed M2D and Chome and nothing changed. I like the rom, is very fast but the opera problem is annoying. Nobody else experienced this strange behaviour in opera mini final version?
I found another bug in CRACING's rom: I can't set the alarm clock to AM or PM. LE, I fixed that. The problem was that I changed the regional settings to romanian and there wasn't checked the symbol for AM and PM.

If I do not use files in the Extended_ROM, I usually put an empty one in the nbf file since I flash back and forth so much I want to be sure I have the right kind of Extended_ROM with each flash.
I am trying to work toward only having extras in the Extended_ROM. My previous work has important parts in there, especially the Extendir versions.
If you do not want to overwrite your ExtROM I can make a ROM without an Extended_ROM included if you ask for it, but if you have a Config.txt in your Extended_ROM it will get parsed.
Later I will be posting some other ROMs based on just getting the latest builds into the Wizard phone.

Hi Rory_B:
Really would like to see a recent 6.5.X build running on the Wizard.
Thanks.
First WM6.5 ROM in post #2
Thanks Rory_B!
Downloading...
Some quick feedbacks, 22.50 MB free on titanium.
On M2DSettings, Sound settings, change background and about not working.
Album OK
Power button works to turn on the phone, but not to turn off.
Tried XDAShutdown but no luck.
Connection setup not working, installed Cracing's Connection setup Database
but still not working. Also installed Topaz connection setup and don't work
either. Soft reset after every install.
Will try Hard reset and report tomorrow. Still ROM looking good.
Thanks Rory_B
Oops, I was playing with some newer packages. Please try this one. Updated post #2 also. Let me know if I fixed everything or not.
Great ROM
Well so far, so good. Got 22MB of free mem after SR on titanium.
22.50 with oxios Hibernate. On M2D 17MB after SR and 17.44MB free after
Oxios Hibernate. All M2D tabs working All previous issues now OK.
Feels a little slow, overclocked to 240Mhz. MSN Weather and Money widgets
not working. No backlight settings on system.
Wifi and Bluetooth OK. Calls and receive text OK.
Later, for a next ROM, please try a just a bit cleaner ROM(No Getting
started and Help) and try faster builds like WMD branch 28236 or COM3
23120. Read that COM2 21905 is fast and more compact with the Start
menu on top.
Thanks a lot RoryB.

Try this one. I took out Widgets and Welcome Center. For some reason they moved backlight to a menu item in power.
I am thinking about stripping my ROMs to the basics. Only WM CHome, etc. That way people can install whatever version of M2D or other GUI they want. What do you think? I could try to create cabs to install M2D that I have so others can uninstall, but I am trying to reduce the conflicts I run into with newer versions of WM.

Why is everyone hung up on what it looks like?
It is a ROM with M2D in it. It looks alot like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4220003&postcount=1 but you can go to skin threads and make your own look.
CHome is very plan with the slide images for features. Search for Titanium ROMs to get an idea.
Are all your ROMs pure OS and safe for G4? Thanks.
No IPL/SPL in my ROMs.
My ROMs only have OS and currently an empty extended_ROM in them.

Will Custom Themes Work With Custom Roms?

Gday all i just installed the Energy Rom from manila version.
I had the BUUF and FallOut 3 Themes installed in manila and i would like to put them back on, i didnt want to do it just incase they dont work and brick the phone.
So i was wondering if i am able to put those themes back on the phone with the custom rom in currently using?
Thanks.
It varies per ROM. I think NRGZ28 adds System/ROM/Read-Only attributes to some Manila Files, so you CAN install a Custom Theme without worry, but some manila parts might not properly 'skin'.
Try to install one of the themes, restart your device, and report back. I can help you further after you have installed and restarted, and posted back here.
OK, i installed the BUUF Theme with the following cabs,
Degake - Email tab
Rawrscary's - Buuf Tabs, Weather, Music (Manila 2.5.1921)
Sniper-worf -Buuf slider
Rawrscary - Buuf Digital Clock
They all seem to install ok and at this moment in time they all seem to be working without any errors.
Ill use my phone as per normal over the next couple of days and see how it goes and report back.
After a day of casual use (made a few phone calls, played a couple of games, used a few apps) and i didnt see any theme errors or glitches, as far as i can tell it seems that the theme has installed and works just as good as it does with manila.
That's great!
Glad to hear you're having no issues.

Let's see... ALL manila files in ANY ROM (custom or OEM) are "read only" "system" "ROM", because they're cooked in ! lol Get your facts straight first..
