IR Remote - HTC Tornado

Do any of the Universal Remote apps work on the tornado?
I've tried vito and novii with no luck...

No point, even if it works, smartphone IR can only work at very close range unlike those old day PDA.
Nowadays, IR are being replaced by BT, so I believe TyTn II was the last to have IR

I'm using on my Tornado program Novii Remote Deluxe (version for PocketPC, but is need FakeCursor). It's working with my TV Sony and my DVD recorder LG and range is cca 5 meter .

Qazer,
Could you desribie how to run "Novii Remote Deluxe" on Tornado?
I have an error "NR Deluxe is not valid Windows CE application"
Which version of WM have you installed?

WM6 Remote Desktop Client

See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=292895
I use fakecursor as virtual mouse pointer, prolly Sphelper will be better.
Anyhow, I can access my Win XP desktop just fine. There's just a little prob with the keyboard which seems in permanent numlock state.
Is there a solution for that other than poking in the keyboard translation tables supplied with the .cab ?
Can you run any games off of that when you're in remote desktop, like say launch Counter Strike or something ? Theoretically it should be possible, right ?
Theoretically yes, but if you think you can actually play the game ("Remote Play") forget it. I mean you can perhaps start & stop (although stopping may not be that easy)
I use it to control my TV tuner application to zap channels which I'm streaming to my S710 and PSP.
Hi,
When I use the wm6 remote desktop client my keyboard does not function.
Is there a solution for this ?
fakecursor for PDA works on S710 also?

Joypad for Wizard?

Hey guys,
I am wondering something that probably went through evry handheld gamer's mind;
Is it possible to connect a gamepad joystick (maybe via usb?)? If so, would it be plug and play on WM 6.0? How would the configurations work???
Anyways, just a crazy idea...
Phil
P.s. - By the way, here's a bluetooth gamepad that supposedly works with all bluetooth enabled pocketpc, smartphone and symbian phones. What I'm asking for is a wired gamepad, not wifi, bluetooth or irda.

If anyone likes to splurge, this ones for you!

Oh what would all of us give to have usb host ability on the wiz.
Unfortunately wizard cannot host usb devices- it only acts as a client.

Another fine hack by me: make SkyFire run on non-phone devices

Currently, SkyFire (see for example the roundup HERE for more info) isn't capable of running on non-phone devices: it doesn't even start. This means you can't run it on anything Windows Mobile not containing a phone: Dell Axims, pre-phone (or even current; for example, the 110 / 210 series) HP iPAQ's etc.
My hacks to the rescue! Download THIS archive and unzip the two DLL's into \Windows on your Pocket PC. Don't be afraid - they won't do any harm. They just make your Pocket PC pretend to be a phone. After this, SkyFire will work.
Cool I will have to try this on my Dell Axim X5

Zeemote JS1 Windows Mobile driver

Hi,
I found this site www.mymobilegear.com that made a windows mobile driver for the zeemote js1 bluetooth game controller. Have anyone tried this driver with zeemote? I'm interested but i don't have a zeemote controller yet and i would like some information from other users if this zeemote works with this driver.
it does work. I've been using the driver with a couple of Windows Mobile 6.1 devices. The driver was released recently but it works rather good with most games.

Try it,but just only Chinese lan now
Hi there. I just got my zeemote controller hoping that I would be able to better control my games on my pocket pcs but I haven't been able to pair the control (because no services are detected) nor found any drivers that would help me accomplish it. I went to the link mentioned above but I dont speak chinese (I think the site prompts me to login/register though). I've read in a couple of places that there ARE drivers already for windows mobile, can somebody provide a link to the actual download pls? I can test out the drivers for you if you wish, I have an omnia i900 and an HTC HD2.
Edit.
Found the driver at mymobilegear.com and it works great! As I said before I have an HD2 and I use morphgear to play some snes oldies. The touchscreen controls are ok but wont allow some hardcore gaming (for exm running and jumping easily in platformers like mario, dkc etc ;-) and I know there is a full size bluetooth gamepad msi something which i might get later on as well. But the Zeemote is very pocketable and portable (more convenient for an adult.. lol). Drivers work great, I will now purchase the full version of the drivers (the trial prompts a reminder very often).
Wowz! Thanks for the link - will give it a try!
BTW, as far as Jeemote is concerned, SmartGear has native support for it. I've tested it with my joystick and it worked just fine.

Nice app, but very limited in comparison to Pocket Controller Pro. Still, I guess that's why it's free.
SOTI Pocket Controller Pro 6 (not free but the best imo)
