Precisely...noone will tell you how to do everything, search, read around, check ou the wiki, etc.
As for which ROM to use, just read the reviews, and figure it out for yourself!

im pretty new at all this but ive got a good grasp of PPCs but when i read through these threads i just cant make sense of some of it.
So, can someone explain (simply) which ROM should I download to upgrade my Universal from WM5 to WM6 and do I have to use that UniversalRUU program do it?

It's all very well explained.
As to which version of wm6 should put, it depends on you.

I use the crossbow 2.12.08 version. Initially with radio 1.15 then upgraded to radio 1.18.
Reason is that roaming with radio 1.18 seems to be better. but so far is seems only more unstable.
However the Crossbow is very nice and I can not find any major problems.
Very satisfied and been using it for some months now.
The link is easily found on this forum and after the download you simply connect the pda to your computer, unzip the program on your computer and run the application.
the rest is easy. no big issues or special knowledge required.
note my pda already was unlocked
just give it a try !
or download some wm6 and wm5 versions and try each one.
the installation is easy and more or less the same. probably best start trying the wm5 and then move on to wm6

i've just read in l26 v7 that there are new diamond driver ported....idem in dutty and hyperdragon IIIm
so i want ask you:
is there someone than can make a cab with these drivers and publish somewhere...so we...or I can use on my tytn? i'm italian and i'd like to use ita rom but here no one have implemented this drivers....so i ask to you

so far those drivers aren't doing anything significant so i don't think a cab would serve much purpose.
I think he just want to use it on an official ROM...
btw, what graphic chip does kaiser use? ATI or built-in? As far as I know, the CPU are doing lots of things inc. GPS...
You can DL them here. Letme know if anyone has any luck whit libgles_cm.dll

Do yourself a big big favour and read the WIKI HERE. There isn't much you can ask that's not covered here. It tells you how to do most things And welcome to the forum

Hi
For beginning, download the new Tomal v8.2 ROM and simply run the application. It has its own manual. You have to only synchronize your ppc with your desk computer before running that application.
For other upgrading things use "universal RUU" from the ftp site. There are many readme files for doing that too.
Best radio version is 1.15
Extended ROM must be configurable for yourself so study more before changing that.
Until now I have seen that Tomal's work is the best...
ROM flashing is really easy .... if you are careful

Actually you can't.
But I've made a procedure to Italianize the my 8502 that I think will work on the 9502 too.
If you are interested just let me know.

Please READ the Wiki, and find your device there, in you´ll see a ROM list with all available ROM´s for it

There is not a single non WWE rom around the web, there ist not a kitchen nor a dumping procedure.

this thread actually points out that, this site, xda-developers, needs to have a forum for imate 8502 & 9502 owners, not sites that take us, the owners, of these phones away from where we may get little support of our phone, instead of just using a beta version of wm6.1.
