Kaiser Radio..

Hi Guys!
Just opened a kaiser now (Box new). I was updating with the RADIO. when i try to flash the radio, the RUU says my radio is 1.57.502.2 but the radio i am flashin is 1.27.12.17. Please help me..... waiting for ur reply so that i can flash it....

How please. I am interested in attempting a radio change as this may be a solution to my slow EDGE speeds. I am getting only half the downloading speed compared to what I get on my HTC Touch using the same SIM.

Radio Update - need help pls

Hi all,
just bought my kaiser, i was previously using blueangel so i have some idea about how to upgrade.
since i'm new to this section and been trying to access wiki but i can't, just need someone to point me to the latest or "best radio rom" so far, a link would be much appreciated.
here's my ROM info.
ROM: 1.81.415.4 WWE (original shipped ROM)
ROM date: 10/29/07
Radio Version: 1.27.15.32
Protocol Version 22.51.88.13H

All depends on the ROM you decide to download too...
if your going with the newest 209 or 213 rom you need a 1.65 radio but not the 1.65.17 RADIO
Matter of opinion. I am using 1.65.14.06 and love it

what if i decide to stick to my official ROM and only upgrade radio
is that possible? as i hate to loose the apps installed on it.

There are a couple of stock radios to be found on the forum. mostly 1.27.x.x
be sure to read about HardSPL.

the thing to keep in mind about radios is that wm6 radios work w/ wm6 only and wm6.1 radios work w/wm6.1 only. if u want to keep ur stock rom (wm6) than any wm6 radio will be fine. like abov poster said make sure u get hardspl first be4 u do any flashing also be careful as there are some radios that lock u meaning once u flash it u can't change it ...
unless u r security unlocked.
being new to kaiser i would highly recommend a complete read of kaiser wiki.

Can someone please explain about radio

I ve just flash Duttys roms which has a radio 1.65.14.06
mine had 1.27.12.11 before the upgrade
do i have to flash back my radio 1.27.12.11 or doe,nt it matter, if someone can please explain

nope u don't need to .. plus it won't work as that is a wm6 radio

one more question if i flashed a dutty`s diffent rom with a diffent radio would that make any diffence

pretty much all of dutty's roms include a radio that is compatible with that rom and also dutty typically lists any radio that won't work with rom.
if the radio that came with rom isn't working well for u in ur region than i suggest flashing a different radio.
just beaware there is a radio out their that locks itself to ur device meaning it won't let u upgrade or downgrade from it unless u use a program by jockyw called frankenkaiser.

if i flash another dutty rom can i just flash it over it or would i need to downgrade or not am just open to install any rom no matter what version like windows 6 and windows 6.1

Yeah 1.65.17.10 at&t original radio aka the radio from hell... although Jocky has tamed the beast...

as long as u have hardspl flashed to ur device u can upgrade/downgrade between wm6 roms and wm6.1 roms.
just to avoid conflicts though always hard reset ur device after a rom flash.

Here's another simple question from a relative noob:
I've read so much out there about radios, but I want to try some of the new 6.1 ROMs out there but am not sure about which radios would be compatible with my AT&T Tilt. I'm currently on the 1.27.14.09 and in cowardly fashion have tried the ROMs built for this one, are there specific radios that I should be looking at that will be compatible? I saw the wiki on kaiser radios, but they don't factor in the 6.1's yet.
any info/clarification is very much appreciated.

yup, that clarified it....feel rather foolish as I'd seen and read that... so if I'm understanding the whole radio subject, of those 6.1 AT&T compatible radios, it's just a matter of finding the one that gives me 1) no issues, and 2) the best reception, etc. And this is just a matter of experimentation....
Good grief, so much to learn, so many ROMs to try.... hmmm, working from home and playing with ROMs, is it surprising that I'm having a tough time getting anything done????

Just one last question....
I switched from the AT&T 1.27 radio to the 1.65 (as noted below). Last Tuesday I sent a couple of text messages and left two voice mails and none of the txt msgs were received and the vm's took almost three days to be delivered.
Would this just be an issue of the area I was in (Denver, CO) that week (I live in Nevada) or could this be a radio issue?

try to hard reset your device an then flash back with official ROM

Which of these ROMs worked for you? There is no Cingular ROM at this site and I wonder about the CID that matched your device. Or do you have already SuperCID on your device?

Radio Needed

hey ppl......feel gr88 to be bak in dis forum. after a long long time it feels gr88 to be a proud owner of dis phone again.
Just wanted radios 1.15 n 1.18 for the uni. had it earlier but deleted em as i thought i wont be needing them again. wud be gr8ful if sum1 can upload it for me. checked everywhere but cud not find a working link. also can any1 point me to a gud recent Rom which shud hav a decent ram left and shud look a bit like those wm6.5. pleaaaaaaaseee
