Connect msn messenger using wap ???

Hi , Anyone knows how to connect msn messenger to the internet using wap ?? ( or Agile messenger ) ; The socks4 port 1080 seems to be blocked , but all web pages can be displayed , ( maybe there's a tunnelier for PPCs
Thank u
did u install the msn messenger patch for windows mobile 2003 ?? with out that patch you cant connect msn messenger.....its available on microsoft website.....download it from there if you dont have it....
regards
jeetz
Msn connects without the patch!
What we need to is to use the Http port to let us connect the msn from the wap, which we can't! Unless we use web messenger. So is there a tunneling software for the ppc?
Any better ideas ??? Heeeelp :?: :? :?:
i connected my msn without the patch before upgrading my rom version from 1.60 to 1.72. But now after upgrading I cant connect it says cannot connect try again. although i can connect other software like skype
any help
IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE MSN !!!!
it's with any messenger that uses the 1080 port that is blocked on wap connections :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:
Hi
I think as Xeon said, u can't get it to connect because the port 1080 (which is used to create a Socks connection) is blocked.
I tried all other available third party programs that connect to msn, but they all had the same problem here in Lebanon.
You can use : http://mob.e-messenger.net/mobile/ ... I use it and its fine but u can't really chat to more than one person at a time...
hi,
well i installed a small patch from microsoft website for msn ppc and it is working fine now. tested on vodafone and virgin pay as you go.
thanks
It's not a matter of PATCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DONT'T WANNA HERE ABOUT IT ANYMOOOOOOORE !
Xeon, Prozac is very cheap on the internet, maybe you could get it in a patch instead of a pill.
which ports are blocked could very well be different from celloperator to celloperator so maybe a patch will work for some
but if the ports are blocked then it require tunneling where a server on the internet service all (who it likes) recieve their comm on that wap port
and redirect the comm to the normal port
and recieve all comm from other msg and redirect that comm to the wap port to the user
but then it's also required that the msg program let you change the port it use
and i have no info about there being such a server
so who knows ?
do you need a contract sim to use messenger?
for the ones who want to open their msn using wap gprs , here are some websites that offer you this serivise...

http://mob.e-messenger.net

Configure Server:
Address: mobile.exchange.mail2web.com
Requires an encrypted connection
user [email protected] <-----must have the @mail2web.com
password
Everything else should be self explanatory.
Hope this helps
it's ok for mail2web....
the issue is the sfr connection , after install a sfr cab file, it's the same behaviour. have you got information for websfr or wapsfr...
but if i want to go to internet thought v1615 , it's impossible
We are under Wm6 for web2mail the user name is troncated.
Mine in Wm5 is "[email protected]", under Wm6 it's "christian.dufils_mai"
Try this! the user under the 2 OS are explain in the control panel of web2mail....

Http proxy authentication problem

Dear all,
My company use http proxy to connect internet. But when I input the username and password, it keeping saying that the username and password is wrong, but I'm sure I input the right username and password.
The strange thing is my colleague has a HTC P3300 with WM6.0 has no such problem as me. I also flashed to WM6.0 and still not working.
I have no problem at home where there's not http proxy.
Currently, I use:
ROM: 3.18.457.0 WWE SEA
Radio: 1.59.42.23
Protocol: 25.87.30.08H
Anyone has the same problem? Please let me know if you know how to fix this problem.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
DEXX
Anybody has the same problem? Or it's the device problem?
i have to use the proxy in the office connection also, but it works without any problem
