after i flashed the magic with haykuro's 6.0r1 rom (and gain root ), rogers rom, spf rom, hero rom, ion rom, noverca rom (actual), i'm waiting for a stable/fast hero rom!!!

Don't get your hopes too hight,it's faster and more stable than
The previous one,but it's still far from ion based ROM...

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if porting over CyanogenMod for Magic has been done before? I've seen it run on a Dream and it's really fast, and can only imagine how wonderful it'd be if it runs on a Magic .

I don't believe it has been done yet. I know once Cyan gets his Magic then we will be graced with his roms.
I'm really looking forward to that! Is he in the process of getting a Magic?

maybe we should take up a collection to get him one? A rootable one- say a 32A one
seriously though, if we at least put a bit of money towards it i wonder if he would start developing for us?
I'd be willing. Although not a whole lot since I now have a kid on the way.
Are all his tweaks in the boot image? or in the guts of the rom? I mean if they were in the guts we could hopefully just stick in a magic boot.img, add in wifi stuff and hopefully be good to go... but i suspect (and i wish i knew more about this) the kernel etc ar ein the boot image...

the 32A can done by yourself. just extract the necessary files from your own build u use

i've no time, i work 10-12hours every day
but when i've time, i'll work on ion.
ps: i'm reuploading the rom on megaupload, because the androidiani ftp have problems .. i'm uploading also a version for 32a, but i've no idea if it works.. if you want to test it

Flashing it a bit just going to open up the rom and check the user file and some other things of interest.
The challenge is on
Revolution 2.2 was one the most stable and fastest hero roms I've used. Let's see if this one can beat it.Good to see you back Alex.

As most roms are 1.6 or 2 (don't use personally. Need camera) seems strange to me to flash an older firmware.
Was wondering how long you would go dark, does this need swap or can it work with just compache?

This has a working camera....This is donut cupcake hero not eclair....So camera is running only eclair doesnt have it working.

Hero doesn't come in a 1.6 version.
And since HTC STILL hasn't released the drivers for 2.+ that are compatable with the G1 it seems logical to use 1.5

They most likely wont, but tmo is releasing 2.0 for g1 so drivers will be avail before February assuming devs will continue to support G1...Eugene has a droid,manup a mytouch, maxisma a liquid..Some devs are upgrading their phones which was my point, if they stay with G1 that would be nice. But we'll still have cyan for custom roms.

Yes. That is what the port is for. SuperD originally requires the old radio.

Not yet . I'm currently testing the other ROM he ported. WG-Build Y-2.6. It's running fine so far.
Seems to work well. Flashed no problem, phone works, wifi works. Well done.
Thanks a whole bunch for this port! I installed The official Rogers 1.5 ROM to get my 3G connection back and I tried cursorsense (which is a fine ROM but I just hate the Sense UI... I don't know it just feels gimmicky! and let's be honest 1.5 looks kind of dated) So I'm glad there's a port for the 6.35 radio, that way I don't have to revert back to the older radio.

it's kind of like the difference between 32b and 32a roms, different kernel, different wlan, different boot.img.

After installing latest radio, spl and cursorsense 1.2.1, decided to try this one. Installed superD radio, ROM, and was stuck on reboot with the logo screen.
i've installed the rom and everything is working except gps (activates in the power bar but doesn't work)

Yup, GPS not working, otherwise it seems very stable. I noticed that SuperD1.7 was released today. Do you (Phil_McRevis) need to make an updated port or is it safe to flash 1.7 and your port straight after? I really need a stable Donut for version 6 radios...

Ya i can update it... will fix gps issues as well
also i don't remember if this rom had opengl issuses but those will be fixed too... give me 10 minutes
will post updated version with less bugs as soon as i test
did a fresh install of ubuntu... damn java takes a while to download

Your looking for a Sense UI Rom not Hero Rom since that's only a phone. Not sure if there are any that are working with the new radio but you can wipe and try it out. It's all about trial & error.
wat im saying is those links that i posted are to roms made for the hero i think both 2.1 roms, so wat i was wondering since the magic with the new radio and spl is bascically the same as the hero if it would work if i flashed these roms?

Humm... your device "bricked" or not?
No I'm not bricked it aborted the flash so no harm done I'm hone to try a different Rom tmmwr and see if it works
FYI - I'll be porting my roms over to Magic when my GF lets me root/flash hers

no idea but i use the version without radio and odexed...and i have no problems with anything....no green dots in cam no problems with w lan and w lan hotspot...i can not test facebook but i think it work also
i test it tommorow and if all ok i will make a ver. with app2sd+ (old) and abosolutly stock with extra flash files so everybody can say...this i need and this not

I flashed this Rom today (with radio and deodexed) and it works great! But I will upgrade to the version with a2sd+ .
