Thanks mate - that was what I tried first but didn't work for me. I select the pic, but nothing changes after pressing ok. When I go back to settings -> today, there's no pic selected.
Something wrong with cooked rom (pcarvalho eXtreme) I'm using?
EDIT: I figured out that you cannot use a pic from the SD card - only from device. DOH!
thank u useful
You can do it off your card with the stock microsoft picture viewer.

Create a Theme file based on the theme you want to use the image whith, or create one from scratch...
You can use ThemeGenCE for that, it's free
another east way
go to where your picture is >> select pic >> click menu tab below >> set as tday background >> i use 25% is look good

Hey, thanks for the tip. This should keep me quiet for a while!

I cant figure this out no where.... Why cant i have my photo 100% color without the white over it? It works fine with the default wallpaper but when i change it, it has the white over it
open the picture using file explorer and open it... then go to menu and select "add as today background" or w/e it says... then it will allow you to choose your opacity/transparency. =P
It doesnt give me that option? I have Touchflo turned off if that does anything?
Also is there away to get rid of the picture when i hit Start?
When ever i hit start the picture is behind the list...
Anyone? this is really annoying and i cant figure out whats going wrong

ROMeOS uses File Explorer extended, which I noticed doesn't give that option of opacity when you choose to use an image as wallpaper.
So is there away around this? Regedit possibly?
Anyone?
.
I'd also like an answer to this, I'm using the latest RomeOS.
There may be other solutions too but here is one of them:
Open your picture from "Programs>Pictures & Videos" - while the picture is opened at "Programs>Pictures & Videos" click "Menu" and select "Set as Today Background". Here you have the option to set Transparency Level (Set it to 0 if to see it clear) and click "Ok". You should get unshaded clear picture.
Surprisingly, I could not get the "Transparency Level" setting when I try to set background while browsing the picture from file explorer.
Hope this helps....
Thanks pksher, confirmed working with latest build of RomeOS. (Start > Programs > Multimedia > Pictures & Videos is the path, at least for RomeOS, though)
The OP had forgotten the face of his father. ;-)
Anyway - the useful thing I'll add is that this method works even without using TouchFlo3D. I gave up on it a while ago - and am using my own background image. I also found out that if you use an image 1024x768 or larger - the image will fit nicely in landscape as well. If you use a 640x480 image, when you go to landscape mode - the left part of the image will be added to the right to make up the difference.

It's not the image, touchFlo jus't converts it in a worse image quality...
Someone know how to fix this?
High resolution wallpaper for all tabs (manilla)
Tested on HTC Touch HD, Dutty's Extreme ROMs, Manila v2, Manila v3
Portrait & Landscape Mode

That will make the wallpaper in low quality.
I prefer a high one that display in home tab but not in all tab.
It seems the application which is provided in above post can't do this.
yes the application makes the wallpaper work on every tab, have you tried to change the wallpaper through the windows mobile menu?
settings>personal>today>use this picture as the background>browse
You have to install .NET Framework v3.5 for mobile on your device also to get this work.

Does anybody know how to deactivate these wallpapers and get for home tab the same simple black picture like this one we have in all other tabs?
The Home Tab background problem is an easy registry fix
Delete the data found at:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\DefaultHomeBackgroundPath
Tada!!!
first hi to all and congratulations for this nice forum and community!
i was reading a lot in the forum the past and now i have to ask my first question. it´s about the possibility to change the font size of touchflow3d (winmobile 6.5)?
the father of my girlfrfiend got de d2 as a gift on his birthday, but the font is undersized for him.
so is it possible to change the font size primarly in contacts, sms and settings?
i already changed the textsize in the tochflow menu to the largest.

I am having the same issue and have been unable to find any info.
Several people have suggested advanced config, which has several font settings, but they do not seem to have any effect, at least on my device.
You may want to give it a try on yours.
Go to settings > system settings > screen and there is an option to change font size, see if that works for you. I didn't for me, but who knows

I've still not found a way to adjust fonts with TouchFlo, but at least for popup menus, you can disable TouchFlo, and then the device will go back to using Windows fonts, which can be adjusted using Advanced Config or other tool.
You can use TD2 Tools, go to the TouchFLO tab, and uncheck Enable TouchFlo Popup Menus.
Heya!
I've been looking to change my start menu background for a whole evening now, but I can't figure out how I can do it. It has given me a headache already.
Can somebody put me on my way? How can i hardcode the startmenu wallpaper? Or is it just impossible?
Greets.

You can change the start menu wall paper by going to settings...today and at the bottom of the appearance page you will see a box that states "Use this picture as the background" put a check in the box and choose your pic from the list
Setting, Personalize, Lockscreenwallpaper
Yeah, but then it changes my lockscreen wallpaper aswell, no? Figured out a way by editing a .cpr file though.. Thanks for your replies!
Ah ok. Sorry, didnt think about the possibility that you might use the Original WM-Lockscreen. Never mind

well even if you use the sense lockscreen, the start wallpaper is the same as the lock wallpaper.
@OP, can you specify exactly how you did it? I would very much like to know!
HI rather than a single wallpaer scheme look at Antworks auto wall paper changer, allows you to automatically change the wallpaper at defined intervals , 30 min 1 hour etc. Also works with S2u2.
