I had a look and couldn't find an answer to this.
I used my laptop to sync all my appointments with outlook and outlook was synced with google.
My laptop stopped working, so I went to the PC and set it up the same way that it was set up on my laptop, but now I get 2 of each of my current appointments.
Is there any way that I can block remove all the ones that were sync'd with my laptop, without having access to my laptop?
yep, just delete your activesync connection profile thing with your computer from your activesync on the phone!
cheers, I'll give it a shot
SK Tools will remove Dups and do other cool house cleaning tasks..

My phone has synced with 2 different PCs. How do I remove one of the PCs settings from the mobile device?
not sure if you can do it through the pda....but i think it's much easier to remove the sync partnership through the pc. simply go to your activesync app and delete the partnership there.
but if you're using bluetooth activesync, simply go to the bt app in your pda and delete the connection from there.
Via the PC you can only delete the partnership for that PC.
I wanted to remove a partnership from the phone for a PC I don't sync to anymore.
Hi!
I want to sync my HTC Artemis with my Vista Laptop.
The problem is that I cannot open Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows Vista.
When I run it, theres only this Connection settings dialog appearing... everytime i open it! Normally there should pop up this bigger green nice designed window with many function (one of them the connection settings)
So I can nothing do!!
Though I can connect to my phone by USB and Bluetooth (I can browse the files on the device) I cannot set up WM Device Center to pair for a Sync connection.
It is also strange that all my contacts, etc. were gone when I tried this first.
I think this is because I had my device still paired but installed Vista new on my Laptop.
Can anybody help me?
you should search first grasshopper, or atleast check the second page of this forum.

the Sync problem still exists!
Have you tried downloading and installing WMDC 6.1?

you have to have outlook installed on you computer...vista does not come with it there for you can not sync your numbers...now outlook is expensive though...i also have a windows xp computer as well so i just keep syncing with that one...search for ns contacts as well...lets you back up all your #s to desktop then back to phone...google search it..
I have outlook installed
new installation of WMDC helped! thank you very much!!
I'm using activesync just to access the pda, not to sync.
Any sync I do its manual, mostly copying files to the storage card.
I'm using web based tools so the contacts and mails don't need sync.
Is there something I can do besides this clunky microsoft actrive sync tool?
It's wizard insists on setting up the sync I don't use.
And every time I plug in the usb the humongous sync window comes up on top just to show my 'connected'
There is an option in the usb settings to treat the phone as a storage card, but when I tried that, the phone itself changed the path to the storage, so then links didn't work.
I bet someone has figured out a way around all the microsoft junk....
Oh yeh
It would be great to use internet storage that would not only show as a folder on the Vista blisterbox but also on the Vogue. I'm afraid using internet storage would too much trouble on a little screen.
If internet storage were convenient, I could always disable active sync, so I can charge the battery on the usb without screwing up internet routes....
I'm experiencing something similar...

My issue was a little different, I didn't mind the as connecting so much, although I'm about to destroy vista for poping up active sync windows every time it connects, monstrous beast windows from a stupid place.
I just wanted to use the data connection WHILE active sync'd and after completing the sync setup on the PC, the issue was resolved.
Since I don't use sync to sync, just for power, cab installs, and manual data transfer, I didn't set it up after burning new ROMs.
All better, thanks.
I use 818pro with WM5 Official ROM with Activesync 4.5
Sync with desktop PC and notebook without problem for long time.
And suddenly one day I can't sync my phone anymore,
activesync hang on "Looking for changes" everytime.
When I unplug usb cable, Combine or Replace windows will appear.
But can't select anything because already disconnect.
It happens both with desktop and notebook.
I've tried to fix it for a while but can't find the way.
So I delete partnership on both PC and Phone.
Start to sync again and it works only if I don't include files sync.
If I enable files sync, it will hang on "Looking for changes" again,
and only way to fix it is delete and create new partnership again.
Now I can sync my phone for Contacts, Calendar and everything except files.
How can I fix this problem without Hard reset ?
Thanks,
piya
Hi, I'm using Samsung Omnia II (WM 6.5). I have my contacts on my phone and want to upload to outlook via ActiveSync 4.5.
After setting up a connection and ActiveSync telling me sync is completed, there is nothing in outlook. It seems ActiveSync can't upload contacts from phone to PC.
Do you have any ideas to fix it?
Thank you very much.
Isnt there an option when connected to the phone in active sync to get contacts from phone to pc instead of the other way round, something like make changes on the pc and not the phone,
