Will we get the ION ROM aswell?

There is already a ION ROM for the Dream. Will someone please release one for the Sapphire..?

If I understood right this is just a patch, not the full ROM.
(Update: No you can’t, my bad. That is a patch zip, not a full. BUT .. I’m working on fixing that. I got my hands on a system dump and built an update.zip for you guys.)

The download was over 30mb and does appear to be the full rom. There is another update on the blog, which is smaller and is to be applied after the full rom. I applied the full update and my phone is showing itself as an ION

I just applied this too, on top of Haykuro's 6.0. I had to do a factory reset afterwards as the onscreen keyboard wasn't working.
This has added:
Voice Dialer
Voice Search
Amazon MP3
and probably other stuff that wasn't on the Vodafone Magic before.
Still no Exchange ActiveSync

I have the same exchange issue. Using touchdown right now which is working very well.
Rom is really FAST..!!

did you "wipe" before install the update?are you still having root now?
i just update to ion but now cannot sign in to google to sync.

I've managed to install Google ION on my magic, avoiding to replace "recovery.img" deleting it in the zip file and resigning the file using this tool

once I've renamed the zip file in "update.zip" I've used the recovery and all ok
- the boot is faster, as in the vodafone version of the firmware
- there is voice call and voice search
- root using "su" command from shell

Does seem faster.
I have to say, I prefer not having multi-touch brower. The zoom is so slow on the multi-touch-esque browser that's it's better to have no accidental zoom when you want to pan instead.

Haykuro you are a beautiful person I will be a first time android user when I get my Ion next week, super excited about it!
Do google adp phones come pre-rooted, or is that something you still need to do. I understand that the bootloader allows for unsigned roms, so it wouldn't an issue to change it up. I was just curious if this vanilla rooted ion rom you are releasing would be appropriate, or does it have changes that make it work on standard sapphires?

I've had some time, and I started playing around with the last CM release 3.9.2 so, I've tweaked a few things, and it came out with this ROM, if you just want the plain porting there is a thread for that, otherwise, give it a try:

-few tweaking on init.rc
-gived more memory trashold for the home apps (it shouldn't effect everybody, just the one that have the home full of widget)
-FULLY multi-language support ( in the CM version, almost the 70% of apps are in english)
-Upgraded apn list, with italians carrier
-Using Launcher of irrenhaus (last update 30/07)
-Using modified Mms apps of senab (it allows you to change user agent)
-Using modified Phone from cytown
-Other changes that I don't remember of!

Given it a go...Browser will not run for me, not suprising as it's based on a rom for which Browser crashes.
Any idea what it could be, as I'm assuming Browser (and therefore email and market!) work for most people. I've been wiping before flashing, and have tried a new, formatted mSD card. Other things seem to work fine, phonecalls, sms etc.
Would love to get these newer rom's working as they feel a lot faster!

I just added the italian's one to the cyanogen's list... don't know witch carrier do you have, I'll see if I could find the settings for it!

Find a bug... in unlock screen i am at 62% battery and says "plug charger"... I dont wipe before instal it, but coming from a modified CRC1, dunno if i need to wipe before instal it.
Is compcache enabled? or must to use swapper with swap partition? Have a swap partition of 32mb when i instaled rom.
And last one, could you add the apn from vodafone spain in next release? i attach a TXT with it

This seems to be a cm 3.9.2 bug
They found out that it only seems to be in other languages than english.
In english it is fine. In every other language you get the plug in charger msg all the time.

Installation​
In an attempt to make this ROM legal, you must have a legal base installed first and then apply this ROMs update.zip.
So...You must install the DRC83_base_defanged or another base and then flash this ROM over the top if it.
Downloads for DRC83_base_defanged.zip:

Steps to install this ROM:
Partition your SD card ( Swap/Ext/Fat32 ).
Your Ext partition must be Ext3, so upgrade your Ext2 partition to Ext3 if required.
Wipe your phone.
Install the base specified above.
Flash the desire SuperD.
Reboot and go through the normal setup process.
That`s it. You should be good to go.

I always wipe, I reccomend a full wipe so people dont post bugs that could be fixed if they had wiped, if you wipe and no errors let me know and ill add it

I will try without a wipe. I will post results shortly.

i flashed without wiping. booted fine. i am having trouble with the browser but that was happening earlier (and on my wife's phone too which is running 1.2 and hasn't been flashed in days). maybe due to all the damn snow we're getting. otherwise i'd say flash away (just do a nadroid just in case).

i get a flash error.. about system/xbin/busybox SYS TEM:xbin/bb
i kno this was posted in other thread but the fix was requiring to flash danger SPL, i wanted to avoid doing this..
is there way to do this with out a flash of danger

I like this ROM so much, but I also want to avoid flashing Danger SPL.

as of now I do not have a version that fits inside the normal SPL
Danger is required, and its eeeasy to do

it is deodexed, so it is fully customizable, so you can theme it, change battery icons or what ever... then my rom has also a awsome extended powermenu... hehe
well, i am already doing this rom for desire, so why not release it for the HD users... maybe someone want such modifications hehe

now i am trying to get the wifi to work, dont get it, why it does not work...and it is difficult without a phone, but afrcom15 is bravely testing everything i throw to him hehe so sooner or later it will work, then i will try to get the Z rom to work for you guys.

That would be very nice

cant seem to gain root on this rom try by running VISIONary r12 as trying to use root explore
wifi seems to be just in a loop trying to connect to network if that helps

flashing the black noti bar on my mytouch 3g cause the gmail and other things to force close like crazy and i had to rewipe and flash it again to the white in order to actually use the phone.
the rom is speedy tho...my daily driver for a while

also the gallery goes and stays black! i tried to download the gallery 3d and the new gallery 2 and both go black then force close. i normally dont write replies to devs about the roms i just go on the next one.
but i want to keep this one so please help

which divice you use? on the htc magic 32b it works. i can't test it on the g1 because i don't have one but testers say everything work in the no ram hack version and in the ram hack version.
