[ROM] 12-26-09 MYHEROrevolution 2.3 (supports MT3G)

Ive taken this ROM into my own hands and have pretty much redone everything. THIS IS cupcake 1.5 i will be releasing a 2.0.1 ROM soon. Im trying to perfect 1.5 hero. Thank you to everyone that has helped me out along the way.

MYHEROrevolution: merge between myhero and senserevolution (adewey234)
Very smooth and stable ROM
wifi works, BT hangs something went wrong in signing
LED's work
Same optimization from myhero
htc not centered
a2sd is slow at first but goes
switched to haykuros kernel
MYHEROrevolution 2: most of the same things from MYHEROrevolution
HTC centered on screen
a2sd working good
the same theme as last one but will be updated shortly
If you get blurries on mytouch flash deport

Dude stop trolling. You busted this 16 year old kids chops about "whats different about this ROM then the 1000 others on xda." Well now he's merged two ROMs into 1, so stfu. Stay in the thread of your lame ass Hero ROM and stop busting on others. Maybe you could be using the time to get Bluetooth working and innovating some of your ROMs instead of busting those who are at least ATTEMPTING to get things done. You haven't even updated your ROM in OVER 2 weeks! Your ROM is just a damn rip off of everything JAC's already done. And if the dude ever does get it to work, I bet you'll be the first asshole to rip his work with no credit(or pull some BS "optimization" and claim it "new and improved").
No one is forcing you to use this ROM. And just because you make a ROM doesn't mean you run **** on XDA. Hop off the dude's nuts...

rom works for me im on tmo g1 it took forever on 1st boot though, and by the way king is a devoted developer even if you dont aprove of his behavior at least he contributes

hey klick. you think your the best now? all you do is boast how drunk you get on twitter and bag on other peoples roms. just cause you got bagged on when you first started making roms doesnt mean you should do the same to tmack. your roms are too slow. face it, theres no more hype for your roms anymore.

So know that we all have an understanding that his ROM's are slow, can we get back on topic? I want to see where this ROM goes, not wonder where the thread disappeared to.

Instead of busting his chops, consider that he's using Hero as a learning curve. Do you expect a new dev to "learn" using something even the more experienced dev's haven't even touched yet? No. When the possibility for Donut or Eclair Hero ROMs emerge, I'll expect that he'll be able to take the knowledge he knows and use it to work on that.
As for this ROM I haven't found it to be slow at all. As speed goes, I find it to be on par with that "Flash This Hero" ROM (its first version anyway). It feels less sluggish than SenseHERO to me as well. The only Hero ROM I've found to have been noticeably faster than others would have been Drizzy's Final Hero and the (earlier) versions based off of it maintained by Maxima.

without going into the merit of which Hero rom is best, I find that the current version of KiNgxKxROM Sense Hybrid Version 2.3 to be the fastest Hero rom currently available.
Having said that, I still encourage all developers and appreciate the work that they do to keep our G1s alive.

The people in this thread are just begging for it to be closed.

Anyone flash this yet and have a report on how it runs? I will probably give it a whirl later in the day. Always fun to test for a new dev, been my experience that some are true diamonds in the rough, hoping for the best!

What would be the installation procedure for this rom, is there a link to what needs to be done before the install or moving from other ROMS's?

This is a 1.5 Cupcake Sense UI ROM based on the official 3.05 Rogers HTC RUU for people who need a stable ROM with all the features working.

Because of the size of the /system partition, this ROM will not flash onto any Sapphire 32A with the 1.33.20XX Eng SPL.
You will need to have the 6.35 radio and 1.76.2007 SPL, and the Hero (not Magic/Sapphire) Recovery from Amon_RA to flash this ROM. Follow the directions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239 to flash the new radio, SPL and recovery.
Once you have the new SPL, Radio and Recovery, then you can apply CursorSense32A like any other ROM update.zip file.
If you don't know what I'm talking about here, please do not attempt to flash this ROM, or change your radio/SPL/recovery. Actually, if you don't already have an Eng SPL 1.33, this ROM is not for you.

I always found SenseHero 1.0 2.6.29 non-BFS 32A v1.2.1 kernel update to run well with pretty much any sense rom on the 32a but also redglasses non-bfs was solid too. if you look for the thread by _Case he has links to lots of kernels for 32a in there.

he's learned that the 288mb of ram rules all haha and we are glad he's come over to our side, we don't seem to get as many roms made for our phones just alot of ones ported over from 32b.

I bought a 32a phone with help from a friend on Poland and must say this is the best phone i ever spent 330 usd on the only down side is that I don't have 3g but I never had 3g where i am living so I am used to it lol

Flashing it a bit just going to open up the rom and check the user file and some other things of interest.

The challenge is on
Revolution 2.2 was one the most stable and fastest hero roms I've used. Let's see if this one can beat it.Good to see you back Alex.

As most roms are 1.6 or 2 (don't use personally. Need camera) seems strange to me to flash an older firmware.

Was wondering how long you would go dark, does this need swap or can it work with just compache?

This has a working camera....This is donut cupcake hero not eclair....So camera is running only eclair doesnt have it working.

Hero doesn't come in a 1.6 version.
And since HTC STILL hasn't released the drivers for 2.+ that are compatable with the G1 it seems logical to use 1.5

They most likely wont, but tmo is releasing 2.0 for g1 so drivers will be avail before February assuming devs will continue to support G1...Eugene has a droid,manup a mytouch, maxisma a liquid..Some devs are upgrading their phones which was my point, if they stay with G1 that would be nice. But we'll still have cyan for custom roms.

You have the same phone details as me, did you flash the new radio and SPL, as requested in the actual rom thread, before flashing the rom or did you just flash with your current setup per your signature?
I'm keen to try this rom, but not so keen to flash a new radio and spl, unless i have to

I have the same spl and radio as you. just do a clean install. I have formatted my sd also to ext 3 and swap.

Just to avoid someone else the same problem...
Step 1: download and flash the 42MB 32B update file
Step 2: download and flash the ~2MB 32A port file

Live wallpapers sure make the phone look flashier.

well theres your problem - your comparing it to donut
this is eclair not donut - all my donut roms are generally faster than CM

yea maybe that could be a result of the swap/ext3
I dont use apps2sd or swap on 32a.... slows it down to like a 32b

Hey I'm now using your port of Clays CSDI Re3mix 32a, without apps2sd, there will be short of storage space after i install less than 20 apps, is that normal?

Hey I'm now using your port of Clays CSDI Re3mix 32a, without apps2sd, there will be short of storage space after i install less than 20 apps, is that normal?

no i have 60 installed and 120 mb free still
using 2010 spl?
i have 295mb of storage space for apps
the new radio cuts that to around 165 or so but still more than enough for all my apps

Flashed this ROM. Looks good so far, stable and such

Any other positive feedback?

I have a 32A Magic and flashed the ROM, very nice but quite slow. What can I do to speed it up? Would partitioning the SD help? And how can I do that?

To be honest, you can't do much. It's 2.1 and until the official stuff is released, doing whatever you can wont make a significant/noticable difference
And I have no idea how to partition the sd card. Maybe in the recovery where it says "PARTITION SD" might help, IT JUST MIGHT HELP! What a stupid question. At least if you fail to have any common sense at all, at least read the other 283713290 threads that tell you how

Has anyone tested this ROM with HelixLauncher?
