(Info)Everything About firmware's - G1 Android Development

Are you sick of searching through a 200 page thread over one topic just to find the download link to the newest thread?
Well over at allshadow.com I have compiled all of the information of the Firmwares and update everyone on the newest builds
Sure there's a sticky of a chart but how could a chart help you find the newest updates?
http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5692

*sigh*
Try this: http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5692&p=40416
You got one too many "http"s in there, turbo.

nice work. I like how everything is there for newbies to go by without posting multiple topics.
This would be a nice sticky or a reference site to point all questions about firmware to.

I fixed, i sorta found that out.

Do you want me to port this thread over? It wont take that long?

You don't mention the holiday firmware for both us and eu

What do you mean? This is the most recent firmware's
I will add those in a sec

I'm currently running the following
signed-dream_gfh_eu-ota-147201.ea8cd686.zip
updated with
signed-gfh_eu-CRB43-from-CRB21.62e94a26.zip
(update is signed-gfh-CRB43-from-CRB21.c88b03d2.zip for us)
I don't know the name of the eu CRB43 file without upgrading though if there is one :-(
Basically this is the nearest I can get to a non t-mobile adp like firmware for europe, unless you know of another ;-)

Please don't let this thread go to waste.

I agree completely. A thread called 'Everything about Firmwares' with incomplete information would be a waste ;-)

Well I was only giving information on the newest builds, sorta waste of your time if you flash RC30, who in the world would do that? I will update to make everyone happier.

Who would want to flash RC30 when a) I'm in europe and b) RCB43 gfh is out?

[None]
This thread has Great Info for new Android Users, let's try to keep it alive don't just trash it with off topic posts. Great Job Matt

I'm not trashing the thread, just trying to make sure the information is complete as it would be great to have it all in one place

Anything else you want me to add> I just added all the older builds and added some new sections on User Created Firmware Changes. Thanks for the Props

[solved] cannot find uberkernel 3.0.2-36

I realized last night that I can't mount network shares from my NAS because i'm still using v22 but preware doesn't offer me to update uberkernel to v36 which has support for cifs, which is the issue.
can someone point a link or can help figuring out why I'm not getting the update?
ps: pls move if this thread belongs somewhere else
pps: I'm at work and I don't have my TP with me
Edit: Somebody who had the same problem posted the answer on the precentral forum
EDIT: Nevermind, I just realized that the version of uberKernel I'm using is straight from default Preware and not from the testing repository. I didn't realize I wasn't on Uberkernel-36. Updating fixed it. If anyone else is having the same problem, you probably fell for the same trap as me - assuming the latest Uberkernel is installed by default in Preware. It's not - it's in a testing package.

Fake 6.0 ROM?

So, what's up with this rom
http://rootmygalaxy.net/safely-update-oneplus-one-to-android-6-0-marshmallow/
I've installed it earlier, it looks like 6.0, but on device info it says 5.1.1. Anyone else have any experiences?
No, That is CM12.1 that is Anrdroid 5.1.1.. Keep checking XDA eventually a ROM will come up!
Of course it's a fake.
AOSParadox's effort to bring Marshmallow to our Bacon is being reported as if they have actually done a bootable build. Not yet, more work must be made, thats a fake

Don't trust anything from that site. We've seen a lot of spam posts pointing there the last few days, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
*Sorry Guys!!!This is Not a Marshmallow ROM.Now we have tested it and it is still in Lollipop. Some guy gave us wrong info sorry for that.Keep Visiting we will Post the Marshmallow ROM Link Very Soon. - See more at: ://rootmygalaxy.net/safely-update-oneplus-one-to-android-6-0-marshmallow/#sthash.dOY8qT82.

Very reputable site. They posted it without even testing or doing any research, their source being "some guy" and they provide a direct link to aosparadox download, which is still up. Zero integrity, avoid these guys
Yeah, I haven't seen a single ROM yet except one really janky ROM that didn't even have a proper zip or working mobile networks lol
All sites have wrong download Link
I have searched For Marshmallow for OnePlus One and all top sites in the google search list have the same ROM download link. Its not only rootmygalaxy.net, but also sites like androiding.how and theandroidsoul.com which have the same link. There is no Marshmallow available for OPO right now.

Why even bother looking anywhere except XDA? Those sites are all useless, they post this bs purely to get traffic. Plus, XDA will have 6.0 first anyway.
like this?

The link for the download is just to one of the mirrors for the experimental build already on XDA. I really can't wait for MM to drop in some form for the OPO. Maybe XDA will be sorta back to normal again

[Q] How to verify a third party apk download?

I have an old phone that uses Android 2.x, I think froyo or gingerbread. I want to download AFWall+ which is a firewall application that's the successor to DroidWall. The problem is the most recent version no longer supports the Android version used by my old phone. The app's details are here (I can't make it a hyperlink because I don't have 10 posts):
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.ukanth.ufirewall&hl=en
The relevant part says:
- Supports 4.x ,5.x and 6.x (for 2.x support use 1.3.4.1 version)
Click to collapse
But the problem is I don't know how to get the 1.3.4.1 version and verify it is the legitimate version. There are a lot of websites that offer downloads for older versions of apks but they could inject anything they want in them couldn't they?
I would ask the developer in his thread what is the proper way to go about this but as I mentioned I don't meet the post requirements at the moment.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

@ukanth Sorry to bother you again but I can't find version 1.3.4.1 in your thread. Did you ever get a chance to post it somewhere? I can get it from a 3rd party website but I just need you to give me the hashes of the packages so I don't install something that's trojaned. I'm a computer programmer but I don't know much about phones, so please keep that in mind if you have special instructions. Thanks

@agenda21, Can you try this and let me know, this I found in my backup's. If it doesn't work, then I will build one using the old source and update it.

I raised a request in f-droid to restore the old version https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/issues/362 . Lets see.

[Completed] Stock ROM for Huawei Y625-u43: I found it!

After a lot of time searching on internet, someone else uploaded the stock rom for this cellphone (which for some reason its NOT in the oficial huawei page). Please notice that the link is not mine, I just found it.
By the way, I tried it on my cellphone and it worked!
The link: 4shared.com/rar/_c8dHlNFce/Y625-U43V100R001C464B105.html
(Just add the www thing to the link: I am new to this community and I think this will be the only thing I will post, at least for a while)
If for some reasons the link gets broken or something, please tell me and I´ll upload it to some page

Open Kirin Roms

Hi there,
project treble makes a lot easier for custom roms and update support of stock ones, kirin opened up the driver limitations a bit, first custom roms are available also for our medipad m5:
Check out this page:
https://openkirin.net/download/
and the installation instructions
https://openkirin.net/user_guide/openkirin-rom-installation-instructions/
To make things clear, this is not my work and I'm not affiliated in any way with the creators.

Sorry i don't want to make you angry or something its just useless to open this thread or continue here
I simply have not the time to read in all small threads
We want one clean thread.
For now sure you can continue here but the original thread comes up if all is 100% ready
