hello,
i am french and i am a big user of your forum but i am sorry to tel that nobody are intterested by the french community because there is rom of differente language but never in french there is nobody to help us.
thanks for the work off all rom maker and big thanks for the first who realised a french rom one day.

i don t know what i do think because there is a new version all the week and there is no possible to have a french version since WM5 AKU 2
the hermi 3.5 who is very stable and a reference is not in french it is for that i think who nobody want to help us.

it's true this work is hard and take a lot of time : modifying, flashing , testing ... one time two time and more and more ....
for the moment i've issue with :
- language file for pocket office : when i put french language file, excel won't start
- i'm unable to convert virtual keyboard to azerty when i put french msim and msim192 file the rom compiling but after flash the system won't start
- i've some link always in WWe and i don't know where to look to change them... (for example calendar instead of calendrier) same thing in control panel.
I search again and again and flashing again and again to find the soluce

there si a problem sddaemon.exe
i delete it on windows startup and it s ok however it possible to reinstall the application who use sddaemon.exe .

ok, i've put registry entries for control panel name and language file for htc task manager and streaming média... now they're french
Now i'm looking to change shortcut in start menu but i've some problem to integrate that in an oem package.
The scope is to replace start menu shortcut to another one created by samyh007.
Somebody have an idea to do that in oem package or other way ?

WM 6.1
Works with radio 1.71.09.01 but I noticed some problems :
- Data Connection switch on when using GPS applications (???)
- Sometimes laggy in menues
- Bug on today screen when changing to landscape mode (sometimes it doesn't want to get on landscape or the image is cutted)
- The jog wheel doesn't work very well on WMP
- WMP Skin came back to the old one when changing commands...
Many programs included, Manilla2D, a nice black boot screen and others.

by CE OS number, you can find it by going to Start > Settings > System (tab) > About

install it a few minutes ago ,no problem found in the moment !
the only thing i found is that the keyboard is qwert in order in azert !
mean a wwe keyboard in a french rom !

I got this problem too. Crashing on launch and expect an error report. Also, the task bar disappeared when coming back on the today screen.
I 'd like to know if it's possible to have the WMP skin which come with the rom cause I can only have the basic WMP10 skin.

it's not possible to listen music in sleep mode.
With HTC Rom and Orange Rom it's possible with every player.

Extracted from official WM 6.5 Standard QVGA Rom, works great with WM6.5 Standard ENG by Gregorys. Just paste all files to Windows dir and add 040C (Value="Français") String in HKLM\MUI. Then reboot!

Extraction de l'archive directement sur le téléphone avec Resco Explorer 2007, ajout de l'entrée dans la base de registre avec PHM Registry Editor, choix du "Français" dans les paramètres régionaux, redémarrage du smartphone...
L'interface est entièrement en français !
En revanche les raccourcis du menu démarrer sont logiquement toujours en anglais, le dictionnaire T9 français n'est pas inclus et on n'a toujours pas accès aux caractères accentués en mode de saisie "abc".

@znial: Use Emulator Rom Prepit.zip, run the bat from begenning to ImgfstoDump.exe then you'll find files you want in Temp\dump.
@Romano2K: Try t9 French.cab for t9 and special chars. Rename *.lnk with Resco

I tried this, cutting the bat after imgfstodump.exe... I obtain multiple folders (and few files) named 040C.mui. In the given zip, there's only files... What I'm doing wrong ?

Well if you are searching for mui files, here they are... I don't think I understand your problem!

I have upgrade my HTC TouchDual with the excelent Insomnia Rom (WM 6.5.5 Build 23563). But the systeme language is in ENU.
The French package which you proposes is it 100 % compatible with the WM version of the ROM INSOMNIA ??

[REQ] - Physical keyboard pb

So with our big screen i try to use my HD2 during meeting to take notes.
So i bought a microsoft bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 (azerty).
i 've got orange rom (french operator)
No pb for recognize the keyboard.
But when i push the "A" buton a "Q" is appear on my HD2 (note application or word )
So get a azerty keyboard but qwerty interpretation.
I scan my reg for 1036 / 1033 all is ok.
Dont see information on menus for change BT keyboard from qwerty to azerty.
No information for the langage in the BR in the BT part.
If someone have a idea.

The only thing i can think off is go to settings (the real ones, not manilla ones, u can acces them from manilla settings menu -> more)
then go to system
then go to country settings
Then check the region, unless azerty is default in france (wich idk, to my knowledge only germany and some non-eu countrys have azerty) set it to france, else go for english or something alike.
Hope this helps, couldnt find any other coutry/region/keyboard settings

fyi german keyboard layout isn't azerty, it's qwertz

thanks for your help but allready look at this and the setting is good.
I open a ticket on my operator

Just remember having a BT error after installing TOMTOM.
I delete the 2 files to make the BT works again.
did tomtom replace BT standar drivers ?
is BT drivers is .dll files un 6.5.
Try to find people with orange rom and dont install tomtom to see if i va got the same BT drivers.

I haven't, but I'm also very interested. According to the specs it should be possible, but I haven't found any user-experiences. (only some negative about the touch pro...)

I flashed this rom, its great, its fast, but one thing I noticed is the keyboard layout is setup differently...probably because its French. Most of the keys work, but some don't and some of the alt + keys are quirky.
I was going to try pushing the keyboard layout from HTCClay's version but I never got around too it...I don't see why that wouldn't work though.
You can select english at the initial setup on any rom pretty much...no different with this one.
Pulled in 3.2 - 3.6 in linpack.

having JitHack included in the rom has increased its performance by 20% I think, several tests have been implemented by users of the smartphone France forum and the results are unambiguous!

I don't see the overwhelming speed of this rom, but I guess it's OK.

This rom made my hardware keyboard a and q reversed as well as x and w,other then that it's ok,benchmarks 3.5 on linpack but does'nt feel much physically faster then stock superfast.
