Whats up guys
I was trying to fix my GPS for the phone and was following a tutorial. I ran a verizon PPST.exe, which I believe update the PRI to a verizon one.
After this, I lost data and phone functionality. When I try to call out, I hit a verizon roaming message.
I tried hard-resetting, and I even tried reverting back to the stock sprint ROM.
Neither fixed the problem, even after I let customizations run. In device information, I have:
ROM: 1.03.651.3
RADIO: 1.03.15F
PRL: 51064
PRI 2.03_003

I was currently using MIUI GB build from brainmaster, and I wanted to switch to the ICS after finally finding out they halted the OTA update. Well I'm using T-Mobile, and when i flashed the stock rom back, i was not able to us the 9023t stock rom as it kept giving errors. So i had to tried the 9020a (which i believe is for ATT) and that worked. My phone is able to make calls and receive texts, but it only shows that its on edge (e) and no more 3g on the status bar.
My question is, is there a way to switch the baseband back to a 9023t build? or did i always have an ATT branded phone?
edit:
This is what my phone status shows:
Carrier: Tmobile
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9020AUCKF1
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-gf5f63ef
[email protected] #1
Build: GRK39F
Another update:
Just verified after pulling my battery the model states:
GT-I9020T
It seems that you have flashed an I9020A baseband on an I9020T. There have been reports that people who have done this have never been able to get 3G again.
However, you can try to follow this link and flash the KI1 baseband and see what happens.
Just out of interest... do you know anyone with an AT&T sim that you can borrow to see if you can pick up AT&T's 3G now? (you would have to make sure that then APN for att is entered and selected) It's extremely doubtful but would be interesting to know nevertheless...

I will try and flash that baseband, and will update asap. As of right now, I dont have an ATT sim card, but if i do come across one i will update as well.
Also, do you know why it happened to let me install the 9020a rom, and not the 9020t? I had to root my phone from scratch all over again to erase the MIUI rom and to try to bring it back to stock. Every time i tried to install the 9020t/9023 it kept giving me the error message:
E: Failed to verify whole-file signature
But it worked like a charm when i attempted to do it with the 9020a.
I was able to flash the KI1 baseband with no problems at all. Now with this will I be able to flash ICS?

Either flash the official OTA or an ICS ROM that doesn't contain a radio.
So I was considering getting a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card and trying it out, so went ahead and flashed a T-Mobile radio to my Skyrocket. After that, everything in the phone info appears as "Unknown" - unknown baseband, unknown IMEI, etc.
I've tried flashing two different AT&T radios now, with no result. What should I do to return the radio to a working state?
OK, I finally figured it out myself, so I'll just leave this here in case it helps anyone else.
The problem was that the first T-Mobile radio I tried replaced several files in /system/ which were probebly from an older version of Android. This just broke the system's cellular stuff entirely. The solution was to reflash CM10.
Hi,
I have a Verizon GS3 that was originally running 4.0.4, VRALHE. I rooted, updated the baseband to MF1, and installed RLS16 of HyperdriveROM, so I could get on 4.1.2. I had the option to go GSM or Global, but when I put in my MetroPCS sim, I get nothing. It prompts me for Global, but I cant make calls or send sms. I also put in the APN and no data as well.
After that I installed CyanogenMod 10.1.3. and am still having the same issue. I have an IMEI, it doesnt appear to be lost, and I have tried the phone info app, as well as trying to go through the secret menu, the network lock menu was blank when I was on Hyperdrive, and now the code to bring up the menu doesnt even work on Cyanogen. Any ideas on what I can do to unlock this phone? I've searched similar posts, but none of them seem to be exactly like my issue. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

After months of being stuck on my Verizon Moto G with a locked bootloader, I finally managed to obtain freedom via the recent update to the SunShine app from jcase. My phone was having some issues prior to unlocking, and it took me several hours of labor and installing/reinstalling things to finally get TWRP and any ROM going properly. I've worked with Android tablets and custom ROMs before, but this is my first time on a Verizon phone.
I managed to get the N5X ROM installed and running, but I couldn't seem to resolve issues with data/mms, which I presume are APN related; trying to enter new APN settings in that ROM wouldn't save for whatever reason, either. For now, I'm back on an optimized stock 4.4.4 image until I can get that figured out.
My question: Is there any list of custom ROMs that do specifically work with a Verizon CDMA/XT1028 Moto G? Does anyone have a guide to getting these ROMs working on Verizon prepaid service, including any APN adjustments that need to be made? Thanks.
Followup: Still trying to figure this out, but the N5X ROM will give me working data if I enable Data Roaming. I've attempted to update the PRL for Verizon via *228, but the phone status still shows as roaming even though my PRL has been updated, displaying my network as T-CDMA 64. Is this simply an issue with my phone not properly identifying roaming/non-roaming due to the custom ROM? Verizon has the best coverage in my area, so I want to make sure it is connecting to the proper towers (and I'm not ACTUALLY roaming). Thanks.
Hi,
I recently brought over my SM-G920A from ATT to T-mobile. I cannot get the ATT phone to recognize the existence of the Signal Booster--which works great on T-Moble phones--so I cannot connect to it. I have been a few rounds with others here that have walked me through the attempt to flash this phone with T-Mobile baseband load and it simply will not work. The phone is unlocked and is using the following load:
baseband G920AUCS7ERC1
BUILD NRD90M G920AUCS7ERC1
I have dev mode unlocked and have no idea what to set those settings at or what they were originally, I attempted to flash SM-GO-G920T onto it but it will not take because there is no current bootloader that can overwrite the ATT version.
So, I'm about to go back and flash the old software back on here.
But, I would really like to see if anyone has any ideas that can help me either get this phone to recognize the T-Mobile 4G-LTE signal booster or help me figure out how to get this phone to accept the SM-G920A load all together.
I would like to thank everyone in advance for your time. Please help.
Thanks and have a great day!
