Allan's Quick "Fixes" on the Raph 800 - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Ok so ... There are several threads with SUPER DETAILED instructions and in depth suggestions... mine are simple.
You need only a couple cabs
1 - Advance Config
2 - McCune_TreoPro_4_Columns.cab
See more then 3 rows of icons in Programs / Settings
Download McCune Treo Pro 4 Column and run it.
Change the icon spacing in Programs / Settings
After installing McCune's 4 Column, due to screen res Touch Pro / Diamond users will see 5 columns, very squished togehter. To fix the 'squeezed' look, go into AC and press the + beside "User Interface" ... change Horizontal Icon Spacing to 110 and Verticle Icon Spacing to 130.
Press Done, then Reset and it should be good.
Reduce Pop Up (soft key) menu font size
To change the font size, open AC, click + User Interface
Go to Menu Bar Font and set to 800, then set Popup Menu Font to 800, click Done and reset

Ok so after playing with the settings and resetting (over 24 times in an hour *L*) in Advance Config, click "User Interface", then click "Popup Menu font size" and change it from 1000 to 750 ...

Thanks _Allan_

you are welcome

I did this and love the new font size, but can I resize the checkmark and or bullet dot that appears next to selected items in the menu? It's still really big and cuts off now that the font is smaller. Sometimes I can't tell which item is checked.

why can't you just resize it with the scroll wheel

Today Screen Scrollbar ...

Hello!
I am wondering if it is possible to remove the scrollbar that shows up on the today screen? I have seen somewhere on the threads that you can remove the scrollbar from a today plugin. But is there any way using the registry?
- TKN
The only way to do that is to not put more on it than it can show all at once. You can however make the scrollbars thinner by editing the registry.
HKLM\System\GWE-cxVScr for verticle scrollbars and changing the value to a number less than 13
HKLM\System\GWE-cxHScr for horizontal scrollbars
ehhh...
......
Well I do not have more than the screen but it still shows the scrollbar and moves just a little bit up and down. And because of that, it is covering one of my tabs from SPB Pocket Plus.
- TKN
if u have good eyes, you can reduce the text size, go to start > settings > system > screen and the text tab....
You could take off an unnecessary plugins from Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Today -> Items
But i'm guessing you need all the stuff on the today screen...
I have the same problem occasionally with cLaunch. If you have even one pixel more than what can be shown on the screen it'll put up that damn scrollbar. I also ran in to that problem before when I didn't have too much on the screen but for some reason it would be there anyway until I rotated the screen by opening the keyboard and then when I closed it again it would magically dissappear. I never did figure out why that was happening, but it hasn't happened since I started flashing new ROMS.
Just came up with 3 possibilities to fix your problem.
1. Check and see if pocket plus has a heighth adjustment. If it does, adjust it to be a few pixels shorter and see if the scrollbar dissappears.
2. If you don't use the icons in the system tray for anything, use explorer or explore in activesync and go to windows\startup and remove the Init_Tray.lnk and then soft reset. The system tray will be gone and you'll have that much extra room on your today screen and the scrollbar should dissappear after that.
3. Install this cab that I'm uploading. It's called vjtoggletoday-removing bottom bar. It removes the bottom bar that has the calendar and contacts links on them. You will still be able to use the soft keys just above the call and end keys to bring them up when ever you want, but you'll gain the extra space on your today screen where the bottom bar used to be.
another option would be to use the nice today plugin SPB Mobile Shell. It makes it possible to safe a lot of space on your today screen. It works very well with any other today plugin (eg Pocket Plus, Phone Alarm, SPB Wheather, etc). Still one of my favorite pocket pc programs!
I am using all of the SPB today plugins. I fixed the problem by having two lines instead of three in BatteryStatus. Appreciate everyones help.

yeah but i still rather have someone do a hack that will remove the scrollbar on the today screen. somtimes we want to have stuff there on the right height just without the scrollbars ...
can someone come up with a hack for this ? removing the scrollbar for today screen.

Its not helped me.
Ive solved this problem only with UI Tweaker.
download and install advanced config. search the site for it if you don't have it already.
goto to right menu and install provisioning xml.
in the file selector navigate to windows and select mxipupdate_HTC100.provxml
soft reset and the black bars will be back

I would recommend, definitely try
CHT Co0kie's Home
Number one
to change background for start menu -> goto settings, home, appearance, then browse for whatever back ground u want to use.
to change taskbar and softkey bar goto set wallpaper when u press menu. scroll towards bottom and u will see options to change soft key bar and taskbar.
booyah!

Ya bit it doesn't allow you to hide dock like ADW Launcher and ADW Launcher is smooth than Go Launcher.

Sent from my ice cream powered Nexus S

I really love this app
i even had it all setup like the way i wanted! all transparent and neat:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
i might try adw to see if i can custom it to something like this.
great app this go launcher but themes are a lil buggy
I'm also trying to find out if that menu/settings bar cab be hidden or disabled. Using gestures I can access the settings, so I don't see that menu bar as being necessary.
Yeah, the settings bar is awful and pointless. It must be able to be removed. I've been using GO for over a year on my DHD but if this is the case I won't be any longer.
As said you can access the settings by swiping up, or from the pull down menu (let alone any other options ie icon on screen/dock, gesture on a dock icon etc).
Bug in GO EX? Or user error?
I think I found a bug. Here's how to repeat:
1. create a navigation shortcut on a home screen.
2. create another navigation shortcut on the home screen.
3. Drag #2 shortcut on to #1. Note a folder has been created.
4. create a third navigation shortcut on the home screen.
5. drag #3 shortcut into the folder you created on step 3.
6. note that instead of 3 shortcuts, you now have 2. (sometimes 1). Creating new shortcuts and putting into the folder deletes previous ones.
This a known thing, or am I Doing It Wrong(tm)?
where to change the grid setting for landscape mode ? pls help
Is it possible to change the default app that opens when pressing the 5 dock items - phone, sms, browser, apps, ?
say for browser can i set it so that Opera opens when I open it ?
Another thing, in normal HTC sense, when I went into App drawer, and pressed the setting key, I would have the option to select "Remove app" and in that I can select the "Running" tab and see what services and processes are running.
This running tab seems different from the running tab that is shown when i go to the app drawer using Go Launcher - is it possible to use the Sense "running" tab or set the Go Launcher running tab to show just like the Sense one ?
thanks
Tablet dock scrolling?
I'm running the HD version on my Transformer Infinity with the CROMi-X 4.5 rom. Does the dock scroll so that I can add more items?
Thanks
turnin off transparency
How can i turn off transparency in apps?? i mean for example at stock settings i don't wanna see the wallpaper i do not want transparency in apps!!. or at least how can i change the transparency lvl like in app drawer where i can make the wallpaper darker. if i could turn the wallpaper dark enough in apps like stock settings that would be fine.

I so like the Facebook thumbnail. Oh my :victory:
i think Nova launcher is the best because it's very simple, smooth and stable. it doesn't make the desktop cluttered with lots of unnecessary information.

Adjust GS7 Edge DPI without Root

Here is a quick guide to adjusting your screen's dpi without root using a hidden menu. Original post found on phandroid http://phandroid.com/2016/03/17/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-native-dpi-setting-hidden/. Works great it helps condense the words on the screen so when viewing websites and other things the words are no longer on the edges.
Download/install Nova Launcher
On the Nova Launcher home screen, long press empty space and select “Widgets” at the bottom of the screen
Scroll to the top of the Widget select screen and swipe to the left to reveal the shortcut for “Activities“
Long press Activities and drop it on the home screen
A new screen will pop up and after it loads up (this can take awhile), scroll down and select the Settings drop down menu
Choose .DisplayScalingActivity (should be the 4th option down)
Now select the new Settings icon on your home screen (it wont be labeled) to open up the hidden DPI menu
Select either Standard or Condensed views
Phone will reboot with new settings applied
