Yes...you do....

im not getting the predictive text for the hardware keyboard for some reason .. any suggestions?

Not sure why, but after you open the hardware keyboard you have to touch the "Type to compose box" and then start typing for it to turn on the predictive text.

yea after awhile i realized thats what it was .. i didnt touch it but it works now plus i reflashed a fresh jf adp1.5 so everything is a ok

Works great extra features is always a plus.

Cant get it working. it says "cp: cannot stat '/sdcard/libt9.so' : No such file or directory
Im assuming i have to unpack the zip to my sd??

Yeah you need to put the two files on your S.D.

Yea i just did.....rebooting as we speak...appreciate it

i installed this through the app installer app from the market and it works perfectly

here and easy through the pc

WiFi Tether Haykuro Test App Info!!! Problems with Unknown State Error...read on.

This version of the app (wifi-tether) works with all the current Haykuro builds
5.0.1Gr3
5.0.1Gr3 apps to sd*
5.0.2Hr3
5.0.2Hr3 apps to sd*
*The only problem is that for the apps to sd version of haykuro's builds, is when you move the cache to the sd card, it causes an unknown state error when you try to start the app.
I was wondering if anyone, seriously anyone could help the few who want to have the wifi tether app with cache to sd.
Please please help me with this one.
If im missing any valuable info. please tell me so i can provide you to help me out.
Thank you.
EDIT!!!
This will fix all your problems :]

busybox cp -a /system/sd/data/android.tether /data/tether
rm -r /system/sd/data/android.tether
ln -s /data/tether /system/sd/data/android.tether
A quick search showed me:
Please make sure that the "superuser-whitelist" accepts "su" from the wifi-tethering-app "always".
try to reinstall binaries and config-files.
Press [menu], chose "Setup" ... when displaying the setup-screen press [menu] again and chose "(Re)-Install binaries/configs" ...
This will set file-permissions correctly if it's not blocked by the superuser-app.
See *** UPDATE *** [2009-03-31] Wifi Tether for Root Users in Dream applications and games
This screenshot you posted in HTC Sapphire/Vodafone Magic G1 Port message 5796 shows that the wifi-tether app has insufficient rights.

People are having some issues with roms other than 5.0.6test1. So to remedy that do:
adb pull /system/app/Launcher2.apk Launcher2.bak so you have a working backup in case and don't forget to clear launcher data before pushing or after if you are getting fc.
how about a morph or an update.zip style?
I will see what I can do when I get home tonight. I did this while at work so I just didn't have the time.
no worries, just thought id ask.not fond of other method unless there is no other alternative.
Can this be used on a CDMA Hero? If not is there any way you can port it over?
I am not 100% certain, can you run:
adb pull /system/app/Launcher2.apk ~/Desktop (if you are on linux) or the same command with c:\ if you are on Windows and then get me Launcher2.apk that it spits out. I am not familiar with what apps are on that device. If the Launcher2 is the same (I think it probably is assuming it is using Launcher2) then it can be used.

Sorry school started back yesterday and I am taking 20Hrs this quarter, so my time is very limited.
Until I get time you can do this:
Download, Rename, copy to SDcard.
Open andexplorer (I am sure you have it if you are using metamorph)
Navigate to the Launcher2.apk file
choose it
select package installer, and Voila!
Just as easy as an update.zip but no reboot!
Tried to download but it says invalid file link

mount -o remount,rw /system
cd /system/app
rm YouTube.apk
cd /data/data
rm -rf com.google.android.youtube
pm uninstall com.google.android.youtube
exit
adb reboot

I assume you are rooted? You need ROOT COMMANDER to do that... set the ROOT to READ/WRITE and then you can erase the old app.
For me, I didnt have to do that, the new one installed over the old one. Im using SPRINT LOVERS ROM
Follow my instructions above, or in Root Explorer, click the little icon in the top-right that says "Mount R/W" when you go to /system/app

Looks good; did you simply change the BMP's to the IMG extension or did you actually have to format it?
no, the images are formatted with nbimg already.

I believe Root Explorer has an option to do that. However, I've not used Root Explorer before so I'm not 100% on how to do it from there.
You can do it with adb through the command prompt:
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/stl9 /system
Thank you for responding and no root exploroer doesnt have any thing like that =( and can you explain me what adb is? thanks

Could've sworn I read it does. No worries, though. ABD (Android Debug Bridge) is available through the Android Software Development Kit (SDK) @ www.Android.com. Download the SDK, run the installer, and only select to install the platform tools. Once it's done then open a command prompt and CD to either:
32-bit: C:\Program Files\Android\Android-sdk\platform tools
64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\Android-sdk\platform tools
Make sure your phone has USB debugging enabled (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging) then plug it into the computer. After that, issue the command from my previous post. Let me know if you have any qurstions. Good luck

Root explorer will allow you to mount system the system as read write. I don't use it so I am not familiar with how to do it but the option is there. I would guess the post above mine is on the right track I use super manager free on the market. Maybe try a different file explorer if you can't figure it out.

Hi
Root explorer allows you to change read-write permission of every folder quite easily.
Look at the top right corner - you have a grey button there to do just that.
