hi,
i want to use the facebook app on the hd2 but i dont want to give away information about me, my phone number and my contact to facebook. so, which information does the app send about my phone to facebook ?
I don't think the facebook app will show anything more than what you have set on your facebook profile.
i know. but i want to know what informations facebook will get about my phone. in the eula from microsoft stand that facebook gets some informations about my phone but not which informations....
I was wondering if there was any programs that you can use to track your friends? I dont want to do it without their consent though, so they would need to dl the program too. Anything thats free and uses google maps?

If they have an android phone and are using latitude. You will see their position in google maps. If you want, I can show you, just PM me.

Doesn't even have to be Android, they have it for BlackBerry, WM, and Apple as well. I track poeple on all three.
latitude is built into maps
Im digging this up. How do i add someone? I did menu add friends but it didnt show anyone. I dont know why. It wont let me actually search through my contacts. Do i have to use their gmail accounts, or can i use their phone numbers.

U use their gmail accout, add their email and it will send them a confirmation link and they set it up to what level of information they want to share with u. Ive noticed that other android handsets are more accurate as they are always updating, iphone bb and wm have to actually run google maps i think.
Once last time, I sync my Facebook app with my phone contacts. Then it "mess" up my contacts such as changing for me names of my contacts to what the contact use in Facebook. Because of that, I had nightmare.
I am just curious how many of you do sync your Facebook app with phone contacts? I ask because with all the integration of Google with Facebook and Twitter or even with social media websites, I was wondering to try sync again or not.
Like what's the benefits to sync?

Thanks!
Someone from androidforums.com commented that:
I do. I found that to solve the problem with Facebook last names, you link the Facebook contact TO your google contact, not the other way around. If you link the Google contact to the facebook contact, it will use the name that's on facebook.
I find it extremely helpful to have my facebook contacts right in my phone. That way, if I need to contact somebody that isn't in my regular phonebook, i can contact them quickly.

While waiting for his reply there, maybe I like to ask here too... how do I link FACEBOOK to GOOGLE? (right?) =D
Seriously I can't imagine why Google haven't implemented this function.
I have a first gen iPod Touch with a very old version of iOS and it does that very well!
I know you can subscribe to an agenda via Google Agenda but it is updated every 65465465 years (exaggerating a bit )
I know there apps for that but NOT FREE !
So does anyone know a SIMPLE way to subscribe to a calendar directly from the phone and with which I can update the calendar directly FROM THE PHONE and when I WANT, not when Google decides to update the calendar?
We are in version 4, c'mon Google !
Wow - Google has a help document exactly for that.
Hint: Do it from a browser.

Ok but that doesn't really help.
I've searched a lot before I opened this thread and I haven't found any document. (ony people complaining about this...)
I've got a calendar that is like this
h ttp://xyz.xyz/agendas/ical.php?ical=123456789
I just want to import that in Android's calendar and not in Google calendar's website.
Can you explain a little bit more please?
Thanks.
Subscribe to the calendar on calendar.google.com and it will show up on your phone (google calendar syncs with android calendar). You can't do this from your android device.
I said in my first post that I don't want to do this method because it only updates when it wants and no when I want
I don't think there is a real method to do it
Thanks anyway
