HTC EVO-Help turning off "safe search filtering" on youtube app

Can anyone please tell me how to turn off the "safe search filtering" on the youtube app, its grayed out and does not let me search all content, fyi its under settings ...Thanks guys

Just have to w8 for Froyo...
Ive tried that Rom and youtube works fine (only thing is the camera doesnt work yet as the roms are still in development stage)

if you want to try the TEST Froyo Roms look under DEV-ROMs...
on Froyo you can search for ANYTHING without it blacking out and saying 10000000 results in the upper left then no results found in center of screen when you search for "Ass Shakin" or smthn like it lmao.

also as a side note i tried to pull the .apk from one of the froyo roms to no avail it said parsing error ill try again on others in few...

A response from HTC on this matter:
"This feature has been disabled per the carrier. If you wish to search for content that is something that would be blocked by a “safe search” then I would recommend going to Http://www.m.youtube.com using your Internet browser on the phone. This will allow you to search for things with out a filter."

After applying Froyo update (on my desire) today, I was now able to modify this option to disable safesearch on youtube app.

It's stupid for them to block the switch, cause youtube does not carry "dirty" videos anyway. Makes ya feel like yer using an apple device. Filter me oh great one.

How to take video calls on galaxy s 4g??!!

Can someone please tell me how to take 3g video calls with ffc of my samsung galaxy s 4g? I know that the sgs i9000 dialer has the video call button.. But I dont see a video call button on my 4g or is there a dialer.apk which has the video calling option? I am referring to the 3g video calls by the service provider.. Not wifi calling or qik or skype! please someone help me!

im pretty sure there is no video call button. the way you video chat is with the video chat applications.

What are the apps? Are u taking about video calls or chats? I mean the conventional video call through my sim card service provider.. Not three wifi calling or voip or skype! Thanks!

There is no video calling on stock Rom but there is in the acid team Rom audiophile edition it's pretty good.

to answer this question. you can't directly call them just like you do a normal call or text. the video uses your data service. and honestly. i have found unless you have great 4g or wifi, the quality sucks and it lags. Program that comes stock with the phone is Quik. But there are others..

In qik can u call to phone numbers just like normal calls? So can u explain what's the video call button the i9000 galaxy dialer? yes my service provides very fast 4g speeds..

I am surprised that the video-call feature is not yet enabled on a 4g device!!! I realized it only now, but looking at the posts here, it looks like it is not popular at all,,, the video-call-over-cellular network, dedicated channels! In india, it surely is not so popular yet,,so no issues,,, please let me know if you come across a way to place video-calls-over-cellular dedicated channels - the same thing that you are talking about!

it was ansered earlier in your post the audiophile rom has phone to phone calling not sure how well or if at all it actually works and the landscape is messed up working on fixing that but since i have no one to call video to video i cant test it to see if in fact it actually works if it doesnt id like to know cause i have an idea of takeing the tango drivers etc and just incoperateing it into the dialer as that allows for direct to direct calling though there sevice

Hey, do you know how to use the voicemail and phone finder functions?
I know how to let it record a message, but is there any way to playback a recording through the phone so the caller knows theres voicemail>

use the Recorder app. it plays back vmails and automatically recorded conversations there. the strange thing is, the app icon isnt shown anywhere. you have to search for it, or link to it from the vmail notification.
the caller will know there's vmail because there's a pre-recorded message saying somethign like: Sorry, I cant pick up my phone right now...

[Q] Name of App?

In a video on youtube, a guy talks about (breifly) an app that will let you connect to a Server and mount the Share as "Internal Memory" on the Nexus7..
Could someone take a listen/look to the video and see if you can tell what the name of the app is? I can not heard him clear enough to understand the name of the app.. and I've been searching high and low for what I think he says.

It sounds like CIFS Manager. Reading the info on Google Play this looks about right as well.

Call Recording App

Can anyone point me to a Call recording app that can be used via phone line not speaker/hands free mode.
Ive tried "Call Recorder" and "Auto Call Recorder", both only record my end of the conversion. From what ive read from reviews of those two previously mentioned, the One S seems to have problems with some of these functions.

Add 'total recall' to the list too. I tried everything, and all it does is save 0 byte files regardless of format. Using a cm10 ROM

It seems we need a kernal that supports Inline call recording... I looked, and don't immediately see a kernal that supports it. It seems to be in 'future features' in the bubba kernal..
I found this post from a russian site where they talk about a patch for the HOS kernal to allow it...

It says patch is not needed for CallRecorder 1.3 and up, but you tested and it didn't work?

You're in XDA-Developers... probably a safe assumption we all have root here
I tried that call recorder app, would not do in line recording. Again, I think we need kernal support. I'm not that sick at kernals, so we gotta start begging dev's to implement that patch into their kernal
