I'm a N00b!!!
Everything runs very nice, but I no longer have root access.
Superuser app says I need to update my bin file, but fails to run the update.( force close ) I also tried the Superuser update fix, but it just stalls in the process, if i try to force it to run.
Bottom line is that I would like to use Titanium backup, but it will not run without root.
If anyone have a hint, I would be very happy.
TIA
Hi Guys!
Took the dive and S-OFFed and Rooted my sensation. Managed to get Android Revolution HD installed and its up and running.
Prior to that I had taken a nandroid backup both before and after rooting and also a Titanium backup after rooting to save all the system data.
After installing the ROM however I found that Titanium cannot access root :-S It says it is not given the permission to access root and thus fails. I noticed an application called Super User having being installed and could not find any feasible way of adding Titanium backup to the Allow list.
Root Checker (which was installed after rooting) also fails inspite of a popup asking for root permission whilst running the program.
Any one has any idea what the problem could be?
A small note, i managed to root with su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip and not su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip as su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip kept on throwing the error saying :-
E:Error in /sdcard/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
(status 0)
Installation Aborted
Thanks in Advance!

Issue was resolved. Re-ran the 2.3 root script in recovery and got root back again. Super user updated the su binary to 3 afterwards. Titanium backup is now working. Specials thanks to Paul22000
I'm at my wits end because after 6 hours of trying to make sure my Samsung Vibrant is rooted and that I can use Superuser Elite (which I've had for a while) I get conflicting information from the "Root Check Pro" which states I have root access and busybox installed. However, when I click on busybox it tells me I don't have root access to install it. Furthermore, my list of apps in Superuser is blank and there is no option to add apps to it.
I went to adroidsu.com for help with Superuser but it actually was no help as there were no instructions on how to use it, install it or troubleshoot it.
I'm running Froyo 2.2 (T-Mobile). My end desire is simply to update my ROM to 2.3 Gingerbread.
I have the premium version of ROM Manager installed but nothing happens when I click on "Reboot into Recovery". Same thing for "Backup Current ROM". It will prompt me if I want to reboot. When I click "Yes" nothing happens.
I attempted to use both the update.zip method (putting it on the internal SD card) and going into recovery mode at bootup to root the phone and also tried the latest version of SuperOneClick. Both 'SEEMED' to work but now I'm having my doubts.
I have no idea where to go next to resolve this. Help!

Hi! I have a new galaxy core 2 duos (about 1 month old). I decided to root the device using kinguser to cheat some games (its my first time to root a smartphone). I installed game killer and gamecih. The gemekiller said "root privilage needed" and the gamecih said something like "error root". I did some research and it seem to be that i need to use supersu. So i did installed supersu and updated it. The first update was successful. But after supersu granted gamekiller and gamecih, still the "root privilage needed" and "error root" appears. Now, without uninstalling supersu I installed superuser thinking that it might solve it. Supersu detected that there are two superuser and said something about uninstalling, so I tapped the uninstall key. Since I cant get gamekiller and gamecih to run, I decided to hard reset the device. After hard reset I reinstalled supersu and the problem occured "installation failed!" when updating it. I have tried a lot of solution from the internet and still no luck. I have tried installing using zip, using su bb, hard reset, full unroot kinguser, uninstall, reinstall, etc.
But I think I have a clue. When installing using zip, this message appears: "E:ERROR tmp/sideload/package.zip (status 255).
Please help, thanks!
