change sim card - your isnt allowed to work - that's simlock,
entering any number will not help - it must be "proper" number called sim unlock code

Hi!
I bought my first Android phone three days ago Huawei IDEOS U8150. Today I have inserted another sim card, from another provider just so I can paste my contacts and the phone asked for unlock code. Returned the original sim card and still the same thing. Tried with the PIN codes, with the PUK codes from both of the sim cards, but id didn’t work. Now it is asking: SIMLOCK block unlock reset KEY. I don’t have a clue what this is. Please advise, I don’t know what to do and now, not even one sim card works. Can I install some sort of app on the PC or on the phone for this to be gone, or some app that will generate me the code? Help! I am panicking here with this phone!
Thanks in advance!

I think that we may find a key for yours, but it will need money to be paid .
I don't have any, so I am looking for a solution everywhere. I finally had the money for a new phone 100 Euros and three days later this happens.
But there are some pages where you can order a key to unlock with your IMEI number for example and after paying or something you'll receive a key that you will need to enter. After that, if the key is OK, the phone should work on any SIM.
But other than this, any other solution? Can we get that key from anyone?
Thanks dudes!
Tell the place where you brought the phone from this has happened, or contact your service provider

Yea, I am planning to do that. Tomorrow (today to be more exact as it is past 24)!
I will inform you what happened and maybe paste the key, if they are going to give it to me. But because of the IMEI thing, probably it won't work on the others. But, just in case .
Bye!

Well maybe it is not the right one. Because before you get to the simlock block unlock reset key it is asking only for sim unlock key or it was something like that. And after 9 or 10 wrong entries it goes to simlock block unlock reset key. Maybe you are entering the first key, for sim unlock only, but it looks for the other one (simlock block unlock reset key). Aaaaand the other possibility is that the key is not the right one. And probably with ROM flashing or something it won't work also. I don't know about it, but look for the right key.

I left my phone at the service center today. They sent me some key but it didn't work. So I left it. Because it is simlock block unlock reset key, not the only SIMLOCK UNLOCK key. So maybe they will change the ROM or reinstall it or ask for the key from Huawei. I sent an email to Huawei also and they only told me that I will need to go to the place where I bought it from. And now from today on I am waiting for the phone to be done.
About the rom update dude, search for roms on this forum, or on google just be sure that it is for the right phone and stuff.

Yes I know this guy with the money. He is from my country. I have one more person who is offering 4 digits decode key for some money.
The thing was to find the key for free, somehow....with something....
But also the persons looking for money have to work something, and the flippin' politics of the companies doesn't allow us (common users) to have the key just like that, but to go through services and all that waiting and explaining.
Let's build one company where all the software and codes will be available for free, for the masses, for better maybe?!
Haha, OK, bye! I will inform you what happened with my phone.

Well simply just tap on the letters button on the keyboard if it is available. Or change the type of the keyboard into the settings place - you will need to tap on dismiss first then go to the settings place and disable some keyboard and enable the Android's one and maybe choose English. Then restart the machine and then when it asks for the letters you should have that keyboard available.

I left it in in the store where I bought it from. One month the phone was there, then they called me. Tried immediately with another SIM, didn't worked. The service provided them with a code for their SIM cards, so entering it with their SIM worked. No other card works. Needs to unlock it on a device probably, but I am afraid that I might loose the warranty for that. Also didn't tried to install different root and stuff, for the same reason.
Bye!

I found this online in case anyone ever needs it:
Unlocking the phone for use with a SIM card from another phone company can be done by entering *#9998*3323# which will reset the phone, you exit and push 7 which completes the reset, you can then put your new SIM card in the phone, when prompted about the SIM lock simply enter 00000000 and then *0141# which will unlock the phone for you. Alternatively you can try *#2767*2878# without a SIM card which is known to work on some models.

I do this:
1. Turn on the phone whithout sim card
2. Type *#*#7378423#*#*
3. Select Service info
4. Select SimLock
5. Check where is X
6. If X is on NETWORK and value is different than 0, you can unlock your phone.
7. If it is 0 unlock by code is NOT possible.

OK, I am unsure on this. I thought you were mistaking the bootloader unlock for SIM unlock.
However, if you can put another SIM in it from a different provider and it works, then it is unlocked
Ok thank you I for your opinion !

If you enter the service info and indicates "0" on the sim lock statu, it means it is OPENLINE in laymans term. Means you can use other sim provider. If it is "1" means your device is sim locked. (0= off, 1= on)
Sent from my D6633 using XDA mobile app
Edit: *never mind, delete*
I want to unlock my phone but I'm not sure that it will work. because when we look at the service menu of phone.
it write:
[]Network 0
[]Network subset 0
[x]Service provider 0
[]corporate 0
[]Sim 0
in the sim lock menu. could you help me about this.
thanks
thanks.

Try a different (non-AT&T/Rogers) SIM for starters...
I recall a "No SIM" method kicking around, I just have to remember it.
UPDATE: From offsite...
If your phone does not ask for the unlock code:
1. Turn on the phone with original Sim card or without Sim card
2. Enter #7465625*638*NCK/Network#
The phone is now unlocked.
If your phone does not ask for the unlock code:
1. Turn on the phone with a foreign (Unaccepted) Sim card
2. Then enter the following sequence:
#0199*Unfreeze/Defreeze#
#0111*NCK/Network#
#0121*SCK/Subprovider#
#0133*SPCK/Provider#
The phone is now unlocked.

According to the phone specs versus the Vodaphone frequencies, you may be stuck with 2G as well.

Yikes. Try without a SIM, and see if the message (including the lockscreen msg) is any different.
You may have a bent or broken pin in the SIM tray...
