how do i boot into recovery?

so i just rooted my friends inspire 4g and i want to flash a rom onto his phone. how do i boot into the recovery?

If you have ROM manager installed, there is an option to boot into recovery.

Why can't I fix permissions?

Hey Nexus S mofos, I haven't been able to fix permissions for some time now. I haven't posted a thread about it because I rarely fix permissions. But I'm feeling curious today. Anyone else having this issue? I have flashed countless roms and still I can't fix em. Any suggestions?

Bought mine rooted n running ICS.
Wanted to make sure I am running my ICS based on OFFICIAL FIRMWARE.

I haven't got it but it's probably the s cloud update

Have you installed it already? What 'new features' does it bring then? I'm using custom ROM so idk what it is
