Is it possible to embed the media player on a mobile webpage for the HTC phones?
i run www.mmradio.org and i have a fully functioning windows media stream i want to embed on a mobile webpage.
So far i can link a button to the stream which will open up the windows media player and stream the audio.
But i want to have the media player embedded on the page, and stream directly from the page. Is this possible? and how?
Been going through MSDN however didnt find anything usefull for this task.
Hope someone can help or point me to the right place for such programming information.
Kind regards

1, welcome to xda-dev
2, always search the Wiki first when you have a question. Your answer is at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...nt (RealAudio and RealVideo) on my Pocket PC?
hello sir.
thnx for the response.
the problem is a bit different from what i think you have perceived.
i'm able to play the streaming video (rtsp) if i put the url "rtsp://xyz" directly in the player itself.(i'm using platform4 player). so that means the network is not the problem.
when i click on the link in web page (that contains the url "rtsp://xyz")....it opens the windows media player(which is obviously unable to open rtsp stream).....
what i want is, on clicking the link, instead of opening windows media player i want it to open platform 4 player..
i hope i'm clear enough.
thanks again

Hello,
many polular Radiostations in Germeny use nacamar.net as Streaming Provider. But it is difficult to get the Stream working, because you need a token, which is taken from the website.
Here is a discription, how to get a workaround (sorry in german), but it is very complicated to handle this on a smartphone. Is there a simple solution for WM6?

This is the Link: http://edge.download.newmedia.nacam...dio-player.php?stream=1055live/livestream.wma
But neither Pocket IE (PIE), Opera Mobile, Pocket Windows Media Player, TCPMP can do something with it. I can only manually extract the token and built the Link myself.
Is there a Windows Media Player Plaugin for the Opera Mobile. I tried to use the Firefox WMP Plugins, but it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

hey guys, just wondering if there are any good media streaming apps out there, an app kinda like orb for the iphone where i can stream movies and songs from my pc to my phone. obviously there will be some apps out there that will do it but i just wanna see your recomendations, preferably freeware but if its paid i dont mind. i have a hd2 aswell so im not sure about compatability issues, resolution, touchscreen etc so hopefully someone with a hd2 has an app like the one i have described and can point me in the right direction
seriously no one knows of anything like im asking?
Have you tried Kinoma?
I use Kinoma to stream Audible content and Youtube daily. It has an Orb client built in as well. I haven't had great success with the Orb though. I think my library is so large that it takes a while for each screen of the library to appear. Once a file is selected the streaming works fine.
Well, for Windows Mobile I have written a widget with a streams database. The only negative point of the widget is that you can't stream from your computer, however you will have access to a database with over 11.000 television, webcam and radio streams.

A paid version (and another demo version) can be found in the MarketPlace, the full version has quite some options.
But since you want to stream from your pc, you could try myStreams from the MarketPlace. You can add stream urls to the application, so if you setup your computer to stream the music (for example as radio or another setup) you can add the url to myStreams and play it from your mobile phone with your favorite player (and myStreams has also quite a huge database). However, only a paid version is available.
Kind regards,
Themuzz
Greetings,
Does anyone know of a way to stream music from a Windows7 desktop to a SDA flashed to WINMO 6.1 without the use of 3rd party appz?
Thanks!
You can use VLC player to stream your media to PPC, and use VLC's web interface to remotely change track.

How can I see in the web with the browser video that require windows media player plugin?
i don't quite understand your question did you mean the windows media plugin for firefox which allows you to play windows media files on your hard drive in firefox or did you mean microsoft silverlight? either way you cant do that right now
also this belongs in the q&a not themes and apps
Has a website with a host of video programs.
When I want to see in the browser of the ASUS I press the play button and nothing happens.
To know what's missing and I checked the site using my computer and it work with windows media player plugin.
How can I play the video in the browser of ASUS,is there a windows media player in android?
You can't. Microsoft doesn't have a version of the plugin that runs on Android(or even WP7), and they probably never will.
