Somebody already used the FlyCAM-SD 1.3 camera in the XDA II?

Any answer?
It already has a camera?
Perhaps you want it to be more human?
Hi,
The XDA1 doesn't support i/o sd functionality so it won't work on it, but will work on a XDA2, but why would you? it has a cam
XDA II has a cam but only low resolution (640X480) 300,000 pixels, and no flash, so pictures at night are crap.
FlyCam is 1.3 megapixels and has a flash. Should be more "Human" and provide real pictures like digital cameras.
Has anyone tried it with the XDAII? The supplied driver is only for a model of Ipaq, but I bebeive it should work on our devices. Just don't want to discover after buying it that it doesn't work.
i know, Just buy a cam then instead of that ugly thing on your XDA
Web cam / xda II wifi
Hi Raoul
I already have one camera Canon EOS-1Ds 11.1M, to take photos of my girls.
At this time I want to transmit audio video on IP for my office through the XDA II.

The Microsoft portrait works with video and audio on IP, http://research.microsoft.com/~jiangli/portrait/ I hope that you like.

Has anyone managed to get Microsoft Picture to work on an XDAII?
portrait on xdaII/2020
I got a response from the dev-team at MS in June and they had no plans to support the xdaII!
I told them they should!

MS Portrait
Use MS portrait every day - just 2 show it works PC with webcam watches my apartment & l watch from wherever over gprs.
Set-up?
What camera setup did you use for the XDA2?
Yes, it is posible... well not realy
but You can take pictures in macro mode by using a simple optical magnifier in front of the camera to compensate for close up pictures like 2 inch or less..
See pictures
With this idea You Imate Jam or similar will be ready for One Note Mobile OCR from microsoft when available!!!
Oh.....Great.. But can I use this method to make the worldcard mobile software work on my T-mobile mda (cingular 8125)? I installed this software to my mda but it doesn't work well because my phone doesn't have macro mode. What do you think?
Is there any software that enables me to record Videos in 640x480?
A 3 MP Cam should be able to do this.
There is this Cool Camera App, but it is not working on Kaiser and TC.
Any other softwares out there?
Thanks.
By the way, I assume there is still no tool to overclock the CPU out there, right?
Hi everyone!
I just bought my tab and i was trying the videocall feature with some software but..
I tried tango videocall with an iphone4 but he doesn't see my videocall and i can't switch to the front camera, using only the back one.
I tried fring but it doesn't fit very well on the galaxy screen, not rotating and not beeing centered the video window, too here the called person doesn't see me (iphone4 and iphone3 users)
today i'll try sipdroid with a voip videocall...
Have you got some feedback with other software working? Is there a way to fix fring? I saw a video on their website where they show a videocall working in the right way. Also if only in portrait mode... I also read that tango team is waiting to have a tab to fix the problem of switching the cam
the only one that seems not interested in videocall seems to be skype... I can't believe...

Tango got updated today to use the front camera. Give it another try it should work fine.

thx for the info, i just updated it
does it work also in landscape mode?
qik apparently works...
Tango works for sure. Good for android to iphone and vice versa video calls. It's UI looks more like facetime.

How did you get it to work with iPhone's facetime? Just call it up I guess..? Or do they need to have Tango also.
Tried it... front camera on both iphone & tab dont work.. They only use the rear cameras on both.. Is this normal?
I can confirm that Tango-for-iphone4 <-> Tango-for-android works on the GT.
Tango seems to have bugs with the front (not user-facing) camera, but then the rear camera is the more useful one. I also saw a bug where I am sometimes zoomed in. But overall it works well for video chat.

That's what I figured. Thanks.
PS - Same problems with front facing camera on iPhone Tango app.
My dream still remain skype with videocal AND video rotation, letting me keep my galaxy in landscape mode without the called people has my video rotated on 90 degrees

Io uso Tango, per ora non ne ho trovati altri, funziona anche con gli iphone..
I use Tango, and it work whit a iphone!
Do you guys mean the back camera on the tab isn't working? ie, the camera with the flash.... I can get the camera on the screen to work... which is the one facing me and needed for video chat.
Very impressive. lag was minimal and I am in Azerbaijan right now. I am sure they will fix this bug soon...
i can't get yahoo messenger video chat working at all.. i know it does say galaxy devices not supported but has anyone got any luck?
@Raspster
Sorry for late reply. In my case, my friend on iphone also has tango.
Tango can use both front and rear cameras. Just touch on the self thumbnail to switch cameras (as far as I remember).
One more important thing, you need to switch on the video on Tango call. It is not on by default.
Cannot get Yahoo Messenger to work

I have been working on this as well. A no go. Can anyone offer us advise please?
I saw from other forum, You can try ClearSea from Mirial. It has Windows, Mac OS X, and Android clients. So you can make video call from Tab to Tab, PC, and Mac. I only try using demo account.
This ABSOLUTELY works and WORK FLAWLESSLY!!!! Not sure how long the demo lasts but if these guys can do this someone else must be able to.
My demo account was killed after three weeks.
Skype for the GT should REALLY come out already!
I tried fring with the new ipod touch and the GT, worked perfectly on both ends, and us Galaxy Tab users have a better front camera!

As Skype for Android doesn't support video calling, it's not going to be of any benefit.
Qik doesn't support video calling either FWIW.
Hi,
I want to have some suggestions from users of Windows Phone / Windows Mobile Phone that which phone's camera (i.e. which brand / model) could be perfectly utilized through DirectShow ?
I am using DirectShow to program my LG GM750 Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. I could grab 400x240 RGB565 pictures from my phone (although DirectShow shows that my phone has a highest 640x480 mode which I have not yet tried). However, from GM750's spec, this phone's camera should be able to capture 2592х1944 (i.e. ~5M) pixels if using its built-in photo-taking program. I am wondering if there is any way for DirectShow to utilize such 2592х1944 high resolution mode and if this is not possible, is there any other Windows Phone whose camera's highest resolution mode could be fully accessed through DirectShow ?
Thanks for any suggestion.
Regards
Lawrence
