HW Volume KEY Interface in MANILA - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

HI all,
we are developing applications for Windows Mobile phones and would like to know whether there is any interface in order to access the MANILA sound manager?
Somehow it is tricky to access the HW Volume button behaviour on these devices.
Any hint is highly appreciated.

Mute via Hardware button?

For the last few days I've been trying to figure out how to mute the sounds on my Magician via a hardware button. Mapping to buttons isn't the the issue, it's finding out what command to run. I can't find any logical volume control executables in the Windows folder. The only thing I could think of is VJKeyPress, but that has no effect with the relivant key codes.
Any ideas, anyone?

seeking an ul tweak to customize the hardware keys

hi!
i am looking for for 4days to learn how to change the programs assigned to hardware keys. but i can not find
i want to assign other programs to sp5m 's hardware keys.
it exists in the ROM platinium edition by nitrogenius as "ul tweaks" in "settings"
i am usuing WM 6.1 now and dont want to use the hardware keys to command windows media player.
haw can i change it?
no one can help???
First of all it's UI Tweaks (UI stands for User Interface) and not UL Tweaks!
To easily customize your hardware keys, use the appropriate shortcut files:
Short_AP1.lnk for Contacts button (sp5) or Internet button (sp5m)
Short_AP2.lnk for Messages button (sp5) or Previous button (sp5)
Short_AP3.lnk for Play button (sp5m only)
Short_AP4.lnk for Next button (sp5m only)
Long_Home.lnk for long press Home key
Long_VolDown.lnk for long press Volume Down key (VolUp not supported on WM6 - don't know if supported on WM6.1)
Short_Camera.lnk for short press Camera button
Long_Camera.lnk for long press Camera button
Long_POC.lnk for long press Communication Manager button
Just change those shortcut files (located in \Windows) to point to your desired applications.
Implementing a tweak such as my Hardware Keys in Control Panel is a real pain in the ass. It's a pain in the ass even when trying to describe it!!!
Not sure I got that..

Sorry about this. Will move it to the right thread now

Remapping an on-screen Key to a Hardware Key (Classes Info?)

Hi all,
I am trying to remap my Raphael mute button (in the phone application) to a hardware key such as the back button using tarkims button config application. Does anyone have a list of think is classes? I need to see the correct way to identity the mute class to assign it to the hardware button.

Is it possible to completely separate the volume controls?

I have the chance to get a Touch Pro really cheap, but I have a problem with it that I've had with all Windows Mobile touchscreen phones.
On my Snap, I have a ton of volume options when editing profiles: Ring, Reminder, Notification, and System. But with the Touch Pro and every other Windows Mobile Professional phone, you get Ring and System. System controls EVERYTHING but ring, forcing you to have every single notification type at the same volume level. (I've even heard of the Alarm volume being muted if the System volume is turned down, despite the Alarm volume being its own setting.)
Is there ANY WAY -- program, registry hack, custom cooked ROM, anything at all -- to get separate volume settings like Windows Mobile Standard has? This is the ONLY thing keeping me from upgrading...
Thanks for your time, everyone.

Modify/Disable HW Volume Buttons? [CM10]

Hey guys. I have found talk in various places about modifying the keylayout file(s) to change or disable HW button functionality.
I am running CM10 on my SGH-T869.
Within my /system/usr/keylayout/ directory I have a bunch of KL files but nothing that appears to govern the behavior of the device itself.
Files present include AVRCP.kl, Generic.kl, qwerty.kl, sec_keyboard.kl, and a bunch of Vendor_some_numbers.kl's.
All are commented,so, assuming the comments are correct, the vendor files are for various gaming input devices, like the Xbox 360, PS3, Logitech Racing Wheel, Logitech dual stick controller, etc, and an Apple BlueTooth keyboard.
The other files are for AVRCP control (glad I found this so I can disable WAKE on track change finally ), and also generic keyboard input devices.
All other devices I have found mods for have files with more specific / descriptive names like "sec_powerkey.lk", "sec_touchkey.kl", etc.
My goal is ideally to disable the HW volume buttons when the device has been locked, to prevent volume changes occuring accidentally. I'm fairly certain this sort of conditional disabling isn't possible, so I was planning on just globally disabling the volume up / down buttons. I use BlueTooth headphones with their own volume control, so my device's built-in volume is always left at maximum.
Any guidance or assistance on where to look would be most appreciated.
"Persist" app free in play store... locks volume while device is locked.. very helpful..
